Watch huge A.I. armies battle it out in the StarCraft Remastered (Brood War) Fight Club. Can you predict the winner of each round?
In Episode 2 of the Fight Club, Zealots, Lurkers, High Templar, Marines, Devourers, Valkyries, Photon Cannons, Infested Terrans, Ultralisks, SVCs, a Protoss Army and a Zerg Army fight to the death in the arena. Thumbnail: 1500 Zealots

Local SCVs tried to tickle Ultralisk to death...
An attempt was made
Credit where it's due. They did manage to take out one of them.
@@Yiazmat93 I can imagine the afterlife conversation. Zerg 1: I died taking on an entire protoss armada. Zerg 2: I died getting nuked from orbit by the terrans. Ultalisk: I.... Um... Was tickled to death by a thousand SCVs...
@@user-xu2pi6vx7o **both Zerg 1 and Zerg 2 proceed to laugh themselves to death and get sent to the after-afterlife**
@@SoldierOfFate Ultralisk then dies of embarrassment and gets sent to the same after afterlife as zergs 1 and 2.
at first I thought it wasn't fair for the army fight because Zerg had no lurkers, but then I noticed that Protoss had no high templar and the reavers were stuck at the back. Aiur was lost due to poor logistics, it would appear
I always thought of zerg as protoss killers, protoss as terran killers, and terran as zerg killers
@@feliperojas-doomride StarCraft is designed well enough there isn't too much of a rock-paper-scissors design to it, what it's really going to come down to is management, hence why the Reavers ended up being relatively useless in this engagement
@@aceshighdueceslow I'm aware, SC is pretty well balanced. It's just a general impression I have ever since I first played the game as a kid
@@feliperojas-doomride This is kinda correct at lower levels. Zerg have easier time countering protoss (Zergs mutalisk opening is so easy to execute that Protoss have to either cannon everything (expensive and turtly), use corsairs (which sacrifices ground army) or be aggresive (which is not that easy considering Sunken colonies are strongest anti ground static defense building)). Protoss on the other hand can just build "Protoss army" Dragoons with range and zealots with speed, send it against terran in waves and terran just cannot beat it with marines, so he have to tech into much stronger per-resource but much more control intensive units like vultures and tanks. So Protoss just use 1a2a3a4a, whereas Terran have to lay mines, siege tanks, micro vultures which lose even to zealots without micro... and have more difficult building management (machine shops, scvs are busy building...) And Terran have very strong marine push, which can kill most zergs outright if not countered properly. Marines are good against all zerg units just until ultralisks or Lurkers, but lurkers are quite micro intensive and can still be killed by marines with little micro if left undefended. Strong opening of Zerg is mutalisk but they are countered by marines so Zerg have to micro like hell to get any benefit out of them. Higher you go you will find that the "losing side" options are much stronger but more difficult. On higher levels (B rank plus) the differences are like 52/48 or 51/49. "Easier race" is still easier to controll.
Protoss commander is like, “we need a wider path!”
Warcraft 2 music was unexpected and awesome.
Indeed!
Indeed. A lot of nostalgia 😎
WELL THANKS NOW I EXPECT IT!
Card to Play from Wings of Liberty, cutscene where Jimmy, Tychus and a wing of Banshees save Gen Warfied's ass from terrible terrible damage. edit: Whoops, I read it as SC2, not WC2...
Oh wow yeah, this was amazing to here ! Some really old memories back then
"You begin to annoy me cerebrate" Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuse me princess.
That animated speed run of Breath of the Wild, nice one man
I died at "this is very interesting but stupid" XD
Valkyrie took the words right out of my mouth.
It's like she knew. D:
Nice!!
I like to see that as a Blizzard developer putting a bit of their own kind of commentary into the unit's lines when their getting annoyed, because Devourers need to be supported with Mutas in order to be effective as both attacks also complement each other since the Muta's attack can hit at max three targets and the Devourers can hit multiple targets with theirs due to the splash. Are there cases where single unit spam can work in StarCraft? Yes, but that's mostly in the campaigns where single unit spam can sometimes be what wins you that level but if you're wanting to take the game seriously and be competitive then you need to think of more factors such as how well your army completements each unit within that army and how quickly you can respond to unit counters.
This is how I actually picture starcraft battles happening
Now I don't need to worry about enemy having 1000 Devourers.
All fun aside, it really hammers home just how critical positioning and maneuvering can be; many of these battles would’ve had different outcomes had units been able to successfully flank and surround their opponents
I'm impressed, these rounds are balanced enough that it's never easy to be sure who is gonna win. Nice job here
Yeah except Ultra vs SCV
@@Archery527 I actually forgot about 'full upgrades' and was sure SCV would win.
@@Archery527 i gotta be honest that was the only one i predicted correctly. Well, and the templars i got right.
you think he didnt checked before hand?
Well, it can also depend on how units behave with their pathing and attack patterns, such as the lurkers vs zealots, the lurker's attack can hit multiple targets as it goes and because the zealots were bunching up like they were it was allowing the lurkers to get some early damage in on the zealots behind the others, its why micro-management when fighting lurkers is extremely advised because one unit can be used to bait the lurker's attack while other units that can out range them like siege tanks shred them apart.
You liked the first episode, so here's more! Using abilities was the most common request, so I gave it a shot with the High Templar. Unfortunately the AI can't really use abilities in this game, so I have to control them manually. Let me know what you think! Thanks man! Enjoyed it!
Thanks bud, appreciate it! Keep it up! =)
Thx! I loved it😁🤗 Very nice work and awesome Videos!
I thought they could still stim marines/firebats in the scenario editor but I could be wrong.
Moreeeeeee loved it
I was surprised the scvs even killed 1 ultra
I agree!
Chitinous armor. Elemental my dear Watson
They didn't, the vet's report after the autopsy recorded that it died of natural causes, heart failure to be precise.
The Valkyries one was very satisfying to watch.
Warcraft music. Shell we have Warcraft fight club???
Yes please we need a Warcraft 2 fight club
Warcraft 3 might also be worthy - but then.... do we really want to even think about that?
Warcraft 2 fight club will not have much value, since the units of both races are almost identical to one another. Warcraft 3 COULD work, but the game is not meant to have this massive size of army fighting each other.
@@lazlo686 the only difference between orcs and humans on wc2 are the spells on the paladin/ogre magi (with bloodlust being close to OP), and magi/death knights with some advantage to the orcs i think and the last upgrade of elven ranger vs troll berserker, with the ranger being way better
Here’s an idea for the next episode- Marines/Firebats/Ghosts and Medics severely outnumbered against various things.
@@Yiazmat93 I love this idea xD
500 marines vs 2500 ultras :3
That protoss lay out at the end was entirely worng
3:26 this is epic
This was very well made and such a blast to watch! Thanks! 😁💯
This is great to watch when you're high. Thanks!
I’m glad you went for an episode 2! It was nutz!
PLZ EPISODIE 3 I LOVE YOU
i enjoy these videos SO much!! :D thank you!
I loved the little tidbits of info you added in to explain the powers and effects! Great job man!
That's true! I was today years old when I learned what the zerg spores of the guardians really do.
Definitely explained why Aiur fell to the Zerg...Oops
ACKTYUALLY! Zerg still didn't have Devos at that moment, so this could've gone the other way. Don't think that Corsairs brought that much to this fight in comparison to Devo / Guard tandem.
With storms the zerg would have die very quick
@@goransekulic3671 Yeah, those Guardians with the Hydralisks are some of the most powerful ranged attackers in Brood War right? I just saw them deleting the Protoss ground army and thought the same thing.
I mean the guy gave the zerg AI a bunch of Hydralisk while denying the Protoss any storm... it's not a fair fight to begin with.
@@Insomnia1234o00o I think that a change in formation would actually make the protoss win, If the corsairs took the point, they'd kill the scourge, and the scouts would then be able to help more. also the reavers got stuck BADLY behind the archons.
Haven't even watched this yet, but I am SO glad there is a second one. I adored the first :D
Awesome work as always Stu!
Great video! The Devouerer vs Valkyrie match was awesome. When I saw the numbers I thought the Devourers would win for sure and the match kept switching who was on top!
If you think I'm going to subscribe after having watched this little demonstration, then you're absolutely correct. Amazing video! Can't wait for more 😁
Love this! Honestly going to make this a drinking game with my friends lol
No joke, I predicted every one right. A big part of it is which side had more reliable splash and efficient units. Like in the last battle, if the toss had access to storms it would've been a land slide.
i must say those SCV have a huge balls for taking out an Ultralisk. a couple of years and maybe those SCV's can beat a Xel'Naga or Amon.
Likely would have been better with the Protoss Probes or Zerg Drones. Should try them.
Maybe half the number of SCVs and allow them to repair will bring a more interesting result
First time I noticed the numbers was during the Devourers VS Valkyries, and also noticed that it shows ordered by who has the most units on top. Would be nice to see the percentage of remaining units too, since it makes more sense in outnumbered situations. Don't think sum of remaining HP/sum of total HP (in percentage) would be doable, but could also work. Canon + Pylons VS Infested Terrans also made me question which situations positioning can change the result of the battle, as in "line against line VS surrounded box". Since most of the time action is actually limited to only a small part of units in these large scale, with enough numbers it's unlikely positioning would change much, but got me curious anyway. Interesting series! Good job!
I think the biggest surprise in all of this was hearing the Warcraft II music start to play.
I love these more than the C&C but both are good. thanks man I enjoy watching these with my dad since we both love these types of games.
Very Good Video! Really love this
That was some Starship Troopers stuff with the High Templars and the Marines
Nice to see other games too, i love rts genre!
Well edited videos with good quality nice
very educational. it demonstrates that macroing a particular unit can be wasteful, while having the correct strategic unit matters more than price.
very nice, thank you. also poor Reavers and carriers couldn't restock to continue fighting.
So cool !!! Thanks!
That valyrie fight is so cool looking!
Wow I enjoyed this!
I use to always do these battles in the editor loved it ✌
the last part reminds me of my high school freshman days. epic massive army. who’s gonna win!?. so awesome
Great video mate loved it
The ultralisk battle reminds me when I'd put 500+ clubmen vs. 1 war elephant in the 1st aoe. Fun stuff
I LOVE THIS
Hehe, great editing on these. Warcraft 2 music is nice.
Zerg 4 LIFE !!!! Lol man this was so satisfying to watch 😂😂👌👏👏
I love hearing the Tide of Darkness theme
Beauty. Awesomeness. Art.
1:46 battle of thermopylae be like
The protoss would have won if the carriers had drones
or if the dragoons were in front of the reavers
Or if you replace any of the unit type with more Corsair. Once they hit critical mass they’re unstoppable, and without guardians Zerg would not win the ground fight either
its not drones its called interceptors.
Or get a few high templars to cast psychic storms.
@@ColonelRosa Did you miss the Devourers? having a bunch of Corsairs bunched up just makes easy stacks of their acid spores which reduce enemy armor AND RoF.
this is art
Against the CPU, I always loved to build a lot of Protoss carriers, the tiny drones they release, are difficult to get hit, and you can order the carriers to build more, it's fun to see the "hive" of drones putting the enemies to the ground.
That marines against high Templar was like soldiers life in WW1
True! It somehow resembled the battle of the somme or something.
I pity the marines there. It somehow looked like they were born to litter that snowy corridor with their blood and guts. Imagine all the widows and orphans they're leaving behind!
I do love that you added variety with different games. I think another good one would be Age Of Empires 2, especially since it got re released with the definitive edition
AoE isnt that good to do that because aside from civ bonuses and unique units, the different civs are mostly simmetrical, or the counters are so blatant that there's little room for upsets. (See Spirit of the Law's channel)
Yeah, needs to be an asymmetrical strategy game with an editor... They're kinda rare, are they not?
At 4:10, I thought in starcraft the valkryies had a limit to how much missiles could be shot at the same time on screen since theres too much units
4:10 Incoming Warcraft 2 music! also for the Protoss vs Zerg fight, I think the protoss can win if they change up their formation, put the corsairs before the Scouts, and the reavers before the archons.
50/50 on predictions. I immediately was like, "Should've been 10 Ultralisks. This one is a gimme." lol. I hope you do more of these episodes. I'm subscribing for these. These are really fun.
I assume unupgraded the scvs win with ease..
The lurker vs zealot battle had my heart racing!
Fight club + Supreme commander = YES
Thx!!
Oh sweet you tested the nofire outright
That scv and ultralisk fight is like 100 convenience store staff vs 5 robbers with shotgun 😂
This is crazy!
4:42 warcraft 2 sound nice :) nice content :)
Great video !!
I seriously can’t believe the lurkers in the beginning won. And that’s because there was no terrain advantage and the zealots had them surrounded.
Devourer + guardian mass combo is too good.
I like the way you incorporated abillities in a smart way! Now it is very close on some of these and they are decent at predicting and most important, way more interesting and fun to watch, kudos!
please continue!))
holy shit... warcraft 2 music!!! work complete! jobs done!! ready to serve my lord!!!
Thx for add Warcraft II music
I liked the Warcraft 2 music for background
These are great examples of how micro managing your units is extremely important. Once the carriers are out of attack ships they are worthless...
Очень зрелищные битвы! Спасибо!
Watching this gave me a thought. What about a set of micro tutorials? Showing off what the units are capable of given the right control, e.g. light tank vs mammoth tank, 3 marines vs lurker, and so on.
ok have to admit merge→hallucination is pretty smart
4:15 LOL @ Warcraft 2 soundtrack
Si estuviera en 4K, sería aún mejor. Felicitaciones Stu
Zapp Brannigan was commanding those marines.
so proud of the valkyries T_T
Nice job with hight templars
wow, surprised some ultras survived in the last battle. those things are running tanks
Can you include heros as well, like the tassadar-zeratul archon? Maybe vs others heros or maybe against regular units just to show how good they are?
first time i saw how the valkyries attacked, i knew they would come on top
1:40 back in sc1 this is called the Protoss meat grinder. It is still workable in sc2 today 6:58 what you ran out of marines?
Like a big concert
Thank you please make more
HOW DO YOU DO THAT? Do you do it with scmdraft? because when I put all the factions options and everything does not come out the same I put with map settings: c
+1 for the warcraft 2 music
Hmm whoever is at a numerical disadvantage seemed to win most of the time
I''ll be honest I dont remember lurkers being that strong and I am shocked the devourers lost vs the valks I knew valks were strong but i thought with the slime the zerg were going to pull out a tight victory there
Devourers attack speed is dreadfully slow. They are considered one of the most useless units in Starcraft and are almost never used. Same with guardians, very slow and squishy. Brood Lords and Corruptors were good replacements.
Devourers and Guardians do well in their respective roles, expecting them to get things done on their own is a stupid expectation and you will be punished for it in-game as even the StarCraft handbook will inform you that such a tactic is a stupid one and will easily be countered, both units complement their weakness along with Muta support so they are best played alongside one another because your enemy has to be able to counter both the Guardians and the Devourers instead of just one or the other, something even those Brood Lords and Corruptors in StarCraft 2 STILL require you to do because once again they both complement their weakness which is one's vulnerable to ground targets and one's vulnerable to air targets!
Devourers are more for support than killing themselves. Devourers with some mutas thrown in would have fared much better.
You're so good at balancing those I half expected valkyries to kill all the devourers and then die from spore damage
Except the spores deal no damage whatsoever.
@@JKRevanBR What? Don't they deal some damage when they expire? You live and learn!
@@VieneLea nope, the spores themselves deal 0 damage, they lower the armor and the fire rate of the affected units, but all of the devourer's damage comes from the impact of the shot, not from the spore effect
@@JKRevanBR Yeah, I googled it out of shock. I was so sure 20 years ago when I played with them that they did that, huh.
Devourer not really a damaging unit.... those spores is much more a debuffer (degrading armor, lower firerate, anti-cloaking)
Nice
It might need to have the numbers adjusted for maximum spectacle but: 100 bunkers each with 4 firebats vs 1000 zerglings
More Fightclub!
I loooooooveeeeeeee your videoooooosss brooooooooooo
Nostalgia intensified when Warcraft 2 music started playing
