Shia LaBeouf, Dakota Johnson & Zack Gottsagen Speak On The Film "The Peanut Butter Falcon"

2019 ж. 6 Там.

A modern Mark Twain style adventure story, "The Peanut Butter Falcon" tells the story of Zak (Zack Gottsagen), a young man with Down syndrome, who runs away from a residential nursing home to follow his dream of attending the professional wrestling school of his idol, The Salt Water Redneck. A strange turn of events pairs him on the road with Tyler (Shia LaBeouf), a small-time outlaw on the run, who becomes Zak's unlikely coach and ally. Together they wind through deltas, elude capture, drink whiskey, find God, catch fish, and convince Eleanor (Dakota Johnson), a kind nursing home employee charged with Zak's return, to join them on their journey.

  • If someone hasn’t seen this then it’s a must. It’s a really beautiful and heartwarming film that reminds me of my brother and reminds me how lucky I am to have him in my life. It made me so sad to hear people speak about a disabled person in a derogatory way in the film. Though it’s realistic because there are awful people that say awful things. However this film focuses on the brilliance of the human spirit and people having dreams despite their adversity. I know I have been a bit vague but I don’t want to spoil the film for anyone.

  • Incredibly pleased with this film. I’ve worked with individuals with disabilities for 13 years and I can’t express how happy I am to see these films come to light. What’s more, I am very impressed with the actors presentation here. They use respectful and educated expression towards Zach and it’s all very well thought out. Straight from the heart.

  • I ship Shia LaBeouf and Dakota Johnson so much after watching this movie, how I wish there could be more projects for these two together, and If given a chance again, with zach too, they look like a family, zach would be there son. I wish all three of them would be blessed with more projects.

    • They were going to be in another film together, 'Don't worry Darling' but Shia was evidently fired, and Dakota left the project too. Maybe she didn't want to play opposite Harry Styles!
