Real Madrid squad has too much confidence. Their whole squad is like Neuer in World Cup 2014. It's like whatever I'm doing is right 😂
I wouldn't agree more 😅
Definitely. They aren't afraid of no team, there's no scenario they don't think it's going their way. It's the best club in the world
You just summed it up.
The confidence Real Madrid has is because of Carlo Ancelotti, Carlo is so calm and calculated.
@@theportugueselegend city just gave real madrid ptsd
Liverpool was outplayed in the midfield. It’s crazy how Madrid was passing the ball very comfortably even with pressure from Liverpool and without their usual starting midfield too!
Thats so key from madrid the performing under pressure in both mental and football wise usually it was kroos and modric partnership with casemiro having their backs and benz dropping deep but today they new gen learned from them and did well
Liverpool's pressing structure was shit - that was an equally bug problem.
Yeah man, That too when they were down by two goals, unreal calmness.
Also individual mistakes doesn't make any easy
@@thomasweini9960 but it felt too intense how Real kept pressing
Real Madrid’s tactics are just highly efficient. No high pressing like mad dogs, just dropping into a mid block, invite the opponents out towards you, commit them into making a mistake, then bam, verticality at its best. If the score is not to their favour in the second half, they turn it up in the last 15-20 min of the game, pressing hard for every ball like animals, this was evident in how they beat city in the second leg last season. It’s the reason why kroos and especially modric are having longevity in their careers. Had they been high pressing like liverpool, they would have ended in a nursing home.
that's problem vs barca, against Barca we play so ass and miss so many chances, makes it worse that they also barely make any mistakes
Second half Valverde was playing the right side of the midfield to use his energy to stop Liverpool overloads from the first half
Yh he and modric switch positions
Carlo is adaptive that's what makes him very good. Klopp didn't adapt well in the game. But then yeah Gomez, Henderson, Trent didn't help him at all
this was key, yes!
@@kalebteklay6840 cant really blame klopp though, liverpool midfield is absolutely washed and need new faces
@@bas8792 Klopp should have admitted that and bring at least 1 very good midfielder last summer but his pickyness costed us. Tchouameni and Bellingham aren't the only good midfielders in the world
Benzema's movement is always such a headache for defenders, but the highlight for me is how Modric and Camavinga started to slow down the tempo of the game and humiliated Liverpool's pressure time and time again. Also, I would like to say that Alaba was having so much trouble with Salah, but when Nacho came out, he literally disappeared
In the second half Madrid looked so much better. They were moving more freely while also tracking Liverpool's runs much better. The one-twos keeping play moving at speed and the switches of play were great too. Liverpool could have scored more in the first half, but the second half from Madrid made the first look like a fluke. The passing and positioning was just so much better.
I think Klopp needs to adjust his tactics, his team cannot keep up with the intensity for the full 90min. We all know that both Real and Livepool excel in transitions. But, even after being 2-0 up, Liverpool still played their high risk, high reward playing style: man to man press and TAA pushing high. And leave spaces wide open. They should have tried to control the game, easier passes, slowing down the tempo off the game.
This is just it. None of that “this happened because of this overload bla bla” analysis in the video.
Absolutely agree! I think we might need to adjust to 3 central defenders with 2 wing backs that get behind the ball and stay back to rest from time to time. Gomez & Trent can't defend very well. Might be an idea to try this and replace the defensive midfielder Fabinho (whom was better going forward but useless in his designated role) and have two combative/creative midfielders next to a playmaker - this formation would suit Thiago. We are missing the Frenchman in defense and I would probably choose Matip over Gomez in right defence. Have two up front as three is a waste of resources when we should be scoring and shooting more. Shots are far too low for a very attacking setup. Have you noticed the amount of shots and shots on target is far lower than a few seasons ago? We can't be expected to play at 100mph and not have many shots or clear cut chances and goals. We only scored one goal - the other one we got lucky; the keeper should never have made that mistake! I would have been happy with 2-0 and appear comfortable, relaxed, and bluddy dominant- teasing Madrid. We lasted 3 or 4 rounds and then sagged. In the end it felt like the referee should have stopped the contest after their fifth goal.
Real Madrid showed the composure of a championship winning team. Coming back from 2-0 with that huge hostile crowd at Anfield is something only the very best can do. Both coach and players proved that they're still one of the best in the world.
As a typical armchair expert who only got to watch the highlights, I would say that Liverpool looked _very_ passive defensively on all the goals against them. Vini scored (brilliant play) in a 3x3 meter square in the middle of 4 Liverpool defenders, and no one blocked! The header, same thing, a lone runner with 8 red shirts looking at each other. Nobody even took a step up to block the ball! This Liverpool team lacks the confidence and spirit you need to win these elimination stage games
the moment we went up 2-0, the team went completely passive. almost like we were down 5-0 and just didnt want to be there anymore.
bajetic let 37 yo modric stroll right by him and jogged watched and did nothign as benzema cut back and finished the 5th right in front of him. shocking defending.
The first 20 minutes, Liverpool pressed hard, then dropped off massively. Madrid showed they were there for the taking - should have been 4-0 down by the time they pulled themselves together
Real Madrid's favourite dish is EPL clubs. Like a cat playing with its food, RM are like "let's a couple of goals headstart just to make things more interesting".
Like Chelsea destroyed them 3 times at bernabaeu?
@@akachiedoggy5711 We might need a team of archeologists to unearth that historical achievement, and has Chelsea FC never won the Champions League, defeating Real Madrid would've been their only European achievement.
Amazing how bad they are now considering how amazing they've been under klopp, he definitely needs to make changes to some positions but they will definitely improve by next season
🤣🤣🤣 not with Klopp at the wheel. You blind Liverpool fans. He's a one trick pony.
Klopp can't rebuild to save his life. Didn't rebuild well at dortmunc and mainz as he left them worse compared to where he found them. He spent money on gakpo and on nunez instead of focusing on getting midfielders and defenders
@@jonathana6943 he did, but it was too late
@@jonathana6943 A lie. He left both projects for a better one. He literally rebuilt Liverpool, won the league with Dortmund with an young team and reached the final of the Champions League. Trent into the Midfield to begin with
When osasuna be doing better than liverpool
Tbf against osasuna they didnt try that hard. In the league they place like 70 minutes on 50% and the last 20 full %

It was actually Henderson that Drags Alaba Far wide for the 1st Goal. That's his role in this match. Militao should've woke up and did his job better.
thoroughly enjoyed the game and this analysis. Still can't believe you produced this video in such short time. well done! for grades, I'd have given Ancelotti a 9, Klopp a 5 as his boys looked like they were just jogging around Anfield in the last 20 minutes.
All that happened was that you could see Salah stop pressing after 20 mins, Because Nunez and Gakpo were knackered, Liverpool are not the best players they are the best team, that outwork the gifted to win But this season it seems no one wants to work that hard, Which means Klopps tactics are dead

Two things has changed the game, Nacho replace Alaba, and in the second half Carlo changed the places between Valverde and Camavinga.
The pronunciation of Gakpo is crazy

Loved the video real nice thanks
trent and Salah used to be among top scorer and top assister for the past 4 season but since last season trent has been more centrally than wide and that's push Salah more wider than before. Salah being less threat/goal from wide but still good with his playmaking ability while trent more involve in control the tempo than give a killer ball liked how he more often did.
It was too easy. Liverpool we’re wide open. Klopp only has one tactic and if it’s not working perfectly he has no clue how to manage a game or change it to help his players. To think that people hold him in such high regard as the greats of the game is ridiculous. Klopp out!!
i wonder and to say he is better than Guardiola because of Jealousy
Title should be how Real Madrid humiliated and embarrassed Liverpool 😂😂😂 Real Madrid was playing like Barca Tiki taka in last 10 min😂😂

They say that the spanish league is shit these days when Osasuna is more opponent to Madrid than Liverpool
Yeah its hilarious that prem fanboys keep talking incessantly about how good their league is when this is how their top teams end up at home. how are you just going to ignore the fact that Klopp made the 5 worst substitution decisions in the history of the champions league. That Joe Gomez was the direct cause for 2 goals. That Joe Gomez was indirectly the cause for at least 1 more goal. that liverpool played like they were 4-0 down and they were 2-0 up. it's more than just simple tactical analysis.
Ya... Pretty sure my guy here just watches the games and does a post analysis of what actually happened while ignoring what was supposed to happen (despite player errors). This game was largely Liverpool individuals being out of sync and giving up on each other. It's a deeper problem imo.
@@nouralawad1022l will never understand this loss
great as always. You should do, no you must do, an analysis to Napoli too. maybe next game against frankfurt. They are too good right now to pass on
in the first goal for Madrid I think there is no overload for Madrid .at least there is 4v4 Vini in between three players from Liverpool and no one can block the shoot.
Nice analysis. What kind of software do you use in your touch screen?
You need luck to beat real Madrid..they are very experienced team especially in ucl knockout stages..and I still don't understand why year in and out are not always the favorites for it
It's the underdog mentality whatever the reason why Real didn't give credit for.
Real is insanely good at the CL, I think people were writing them off earlier because they have struggled in the league, but I think that they could still go all the way. Napoli, Bayern and City are also among the favorites imo.

Camavinga ran circles around liverpool
Yeah he grew into the game just like the team in general
@@leoreyes5439why didn't they stop him
This game was equivalent to playing Liverpool on Fifa 22 on Legendary Mode. Unbelievable press in the beginning which stops you from progressing any attack, but then in the second half all the Liverpool players are out of energy and too tired to press so there is open spaces to run into everywhere.
Just fatigue ?
Kloop has been found out ! He does not have the same ability of other top coaches of changing tactics and playing a totally different style while the game is in progress so if his initial game plan is not working they are in trouble ! The players are losing confidence in him which is why he should move on and let a new coach be in charge of the rebuild !
But why no response
He won one title in his 10 years at Liverpool the Media want to give him a knighthood and the poor Liverpool fans think he is a legend
@@Paddykelly8418 I guess there are prizes for second place these days . Sadly his team did an Arsenal both times in the league - they blew the lead because they didn't have the mentality to cross the line. Didn't even have enough grit to break either city record squandering it at 99 point mark and failing to best Watford in order to surpass the win record.
Liverpool’s midfield looked lost. Gomez is championship level and the way they were still pressing whilst being 2-0 up is crazy. They should have parked the bus knowing full well that RM doesn’t have a RW. I mean, I get it. You don’t want to park the bus at Anfield, but sometimes you must play boring football to catch the W. Just my two cents.
Why did they lose
That was quick
Of course Real won so it looked like they used better tactical approach. In my opinion, after scoring two goals Liverpool should focus quicker on the counter attack and use low pressure defense. In addition, please notice that by all goals for RM, Liverpool had more players behind the ball. Personal mistakes and lack of individual defensive principles has cost Liverpool winning.
Agreed. It's so easy to say RM outplayed LV, when it in reality it could have just been major mistakes and desync by individuals rather than a fault of tactics. RM players were surprised by how much space and time they had before playing the ball.
@@nouralawad1022 but why fall apart

hi, can you tell me the name of the tactical pad you use ?? pls
I'm kind of disappointed that this video has come out ahead of the Man United - Leicester analysis. I was really waiting for that analysis from you, but for now, I'll enjoy this one!
Because no one cares about Man United vs Leicester, an uninteresting game, uninteresting result with almost no significance
Who fking cares about it??? Its Real madrid destroying the Premier once again and everybody loves it
How do you notice the details in a game? #serious question
Real Madrid have the tendency to create an overload on on side of the pitch that's on the left hand side because of Vini Jr but they do that by shifting the play on the right then a quick change of direction to the ball through long diagonal passes or some Modric magic or Valverde / Camavinga when that overload is created you see in close proximity, Vini, Benzema, Modric and the left back with one twos they overcome defenses and create danger Madrid do that when they usually behind in the game it works because of the players quality the danger can't be anticipated and the element of surprise is always there
Gakpo was in the game in the sec period.
😂
HAHHHAHHHAHHHAHHA
It’s hilarious how you didn’t write Modric’s name on number 10 and I don’t think that’s bad because we all know who’s the real LM10 😂

That's magic
Can you do Napoli next please.

Can we have a video on NAPOLI, please?
I mean, there's a reason that this year's Liverpool team is mid-table. As great a manager as Klopp is, he only knows how to do things the Klopp way, and the squad he has can't do that anymore.
You are great but there js smth very important that you cant describe in a tactical way. RMA mentality
The key performance was the Valverde in the second half
What did he do?
How on earth can you give a coach a rating of "6" for a game lost 2:5? Ok, you can still give that rating for the first half, but the second half exposed it. Real often played monkey in the middle, in Liverpool's half. Real in my opinion min for 8.5 stars. Good analysis.
Do you think maybe it was dumb for Liverpool to press on their right side, where Vini was there also, and maybe they should have kept pressing on their left side (madrid right) ? What do you suggest Liverpool to do to change the game in 2nd leg? Obviously Madrid had higher quality players, and lets say dumb mistakes won't happen again
Xavi destroyed this madrid team with aubameyang. its not the quality of the players. its ANCELOTTI. hes very unpredictable. the only coach that gets the better of him is Xavi and barca. Right now only a 4 man midfield will work against this madrid team. Comeback is not even a possibility because madrid are much much much stronger wen they have the lead. it will be another easy win for madrid at the bernabeu. i mean they won 2-5 in anfield without a proper lb lol.
@@sharegan6822 And a proper DM. It wasnt assuring to not see Tchoameni, but Camavinga as always can do just about everything right.
@@Long_DoooG yeah camavinga is good. when he is pushed to work better he does. thats what these young players do. @@sharegan6822 Xavi learn alot from the previous season where the weakness is.
@@sharegan6822 And Real Madrid humiliated xavi barca in Bernabeu by 3-1 this season. Xavi is not better than Ancelotti, Ancelotti literally have 5 different strategies which can make suffer xavi barca a lot, high pressing with 4 midfielders + both rw and lw forwards and barca is suffering like they suffered against Bayern. To be honest, in football everything is possible, Liverpool is still a good team. But as a Real Madrid fan im confident that we will finish them in Bernabeu like we did against all best english teams like last year 🤷

There is a difference between having a 3 goal lead going home as opposed to going to England. Picking up the tempo in passing isn’t a tactical switch. Real didn’t go into the game with the idea of passing the ball slowly. The occasion and the need for Liverpool to get a result is created havoc the first 15 minutes of the game for real- a typical champions league match where the home team goes out to force mistakes and get a result at home. But what is undeniable is Liverpool’s is not the same team anymore although klopp tries to play the same way. Real Madrid uses one thing to create tactical adjustments- goals. I’m each of Madrid’s wins in the CL over the last year they have found a goal at what seems the precise moment and the opposing teams poor response has opened the door for Madrid to pull off comeback after comeback after comeback. Tactically there really wasn’t much of a change- Madrid finds goals when they absolutely need them and the other teams choke under the pressure. Klopps team is not the youngest anymore and their high tempo pressure for 90 minutes is a thing of the past. This game was all about momentum. Once real scored the first goal there wasn’t a tactical switch, Liverpool was still pressing but Allison’s horrendous mistake is what doomed Liverpool. After the first goal there was doubt after the second the game was over.
If you want to discuss true tactical adjustments I would look at scalonis argentina 2 months ago. Just saying- I find these videos a bit over the top (my opinion) because they stress the importance of coaching when the tactical set up is important but the players and goals are what play an even more important role. This to me is a flaw in flootball nowadays where everything needs to be Broken down as tactical switches and stars (gps hear maps and distance run and passes completed) when it is the players who have more of a say than the coaches or any piece of technology. Sure there can be little adjustments tactically but in the end the players have to perform and mistakes are not accounted for by tactics and this sport is built on mistakes like anything else. Football is still a players sport and the tactics are built on what and how your players are doing- the game morphs based on them not on some coaching tweak like passing the ball faster.

Tired/ lazy /slow (Fabinho) midfield can't cover counters or support front press. Defensive line too passive while waiting for midfield cover which never came. remember when i said in the last pep video that to not underestimated Ancelotti here is the prove ...
Real Madrid have always had far better players, they currently have some elite younger ones and a bigger squad. It is not really that impressive. 🤔
Oh come on. 1.7 means pure luck in at least 3 goals and that's what it was. Two insane rebounds happened. And then you get what Bajcetic did and you can't blame TAA or Hendo directly. There's barely any issue in what Madrid does, when you have 5 players at times in the same zone, or players with the ball in front of another. It's pure randomness, at times Modric had the ball an Vinicius was standing behind doing nothing because they were not supposed to be in the same place. of course it was an overload, no serious team would ever do that nonsense, Valverde, Vinicius, Benzema, Nacho and Rudiger all in the same channel, not the left hand side, no, the left channel, you lose the ball there and there are miles of space, it doesn't make any sense. Klopp earns a 4 because it's the fourth time this happens, no adaptation to what Madrid does to him. 3man backline, different press, low block, something. he's just waiting to win in the way he has lost 2 finals and two legs. No, Klopp is asking for a change in Liverpool
Benzema’s movement >>>
I feel he always gets outplayed until stupid things happen in games and some individuals play way above their levels which has nothing to do with tactics or team play. Today it took him 45 minutes to switch Valverde from right to left. That is why I love to see how mediocre they are week in and out in Spain. And something very important: he has probably the best squad in the world to work with.
What are you expecting from knockout football the “best team” is never guaranteed a win
What a bad take
Yeah, Liverpool is trash. I don't think they were better. They can't be better than Real if they constantly lose to them tho.
@Roland Griffin thoughts on the pitch? I'm not justifying anything, but a lot of players seemed to be slipping last night. Right before Liverpool's second goal, a player from both slides slipped, followed by Courtois. Before Vinicius's first goal, there was a slip from a Liverpool player as well. The pitch looked extra wet, too.
