The Dagestan Chronicles presented by Will Harris Productions
As you all know, back at UFC 223, UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov invited me to Dagestan, Russia.
Me being the trooper I am, took him up on his offer and came abroad to witness and learn more about the people of Dagestan.
I am thankful to Khabib, his family and his management team for inviting me over to Dagestan to experience something no one has done before from the US. I learned so much about the Dagestan Culture, the Muslim Faith and the humility in which the champ has. There are too many people to thank for this moment and I will later in the future. I hope my journey is appreciated and stands tall in time next to the great productions I will produce in the future. These moments will be with me forever.

    • This statement of Muhammad Ali in this video is wrong, Will. Ali said it when he was in sect called "Nation of Islam". Then he left this sect and changed his views. Islam teaches that the only religion that is accepted by God is Islam, it is said in Quran Surah 3 Ayah 19. And there is Ayah in Quran that Jesus, Moses and other Prophets were muslims. But then people distorted their teaching and said that Jesus is God etc. They (Prophets) didn't teach this. All Prophets of God were teaching 1 religion called "submission to one God", in arabic this religion is called Islam. God didn't send different Prophets with different religions, it's absurd.

    • Phalimetras Lykaios ireland has their own language and its not only english, maybe he did a mistake by his writing because not everybody is educated and good on writing, especially if english is not your first language. I speak 8 languages and can speak russian fluently but my writing in kyrillic is terrible. Does that make me that i’m not from dagestan? You have to understand that there are people living a whole life time and can’t even write a single letter nor read. You should not judge other people if you dont have anything positive to say or you will carry around with a bad aura just like now. I have multiple family members that struggle to write and can barely read because they was in war and there was no school to study anything. Does that make them that they are not from the same place as me?

That's three generations of the telephone game... Mohammed was an illiterate, slave owning war lord who had sex with minors. That's not Islamophobic those are straight facts from the Koran and the Hadith. And im supposed to believe he was God's chosen messenger? He was an oppurtunist who used religion as a tool for political and personal power. No different than dozens of Popes have done, or Shaolin monks, or some Rabbis... God is love and understanding... religion is all about control and judgement... nah im good. I can take what I need to from every religion without having to be relgious myself

  • Cool fact for my fellow Muslims: Khabib Nurmagomedov is actually pronounced as Habib Nurmohamed-ov which is translated from Arabic in english as: Khabib = beloved NurMuhamed = light of Muhammed So his name means beloved the light of Muhammed. Pretty cool! Reminds me of Muhammed Ali as well and how both legends have the name "Muhammed" after our Prophet Pbuh. May Allah SWT bless them both and bring peace to every single human being and the ummah. Ameen. :) Allah knows best.

  • We in Bosnia have something same. When you are born in big family, you have childhood really tough. You have to do something for community , and it's common for people from your village. Like going to cut some wood and bring it to your home. Hunting, taking care of animals. It's sad when they insult our nationality, our religion. In this 29 years of my age, i never saw my father yell on my mother and when he just raise hand we all shut up and stop talking. It's called RESPECT, we live under his roof, he earns money for us all and we are this cause we are following him. Girls also do the other things and have plenty of daily tasks, so we barely hang with sisters. They wash clothes, breakfast, lunch, dinner cooking and most of time they are hanging with other older cousins and friends and they talk about girl themes. And as age of 15 we start to dream for girl, wife. School is not interesting, cause you already know to do lot of stuff to earn money, you already know something about sexuality. We think that we are smartest person on universe. You start to dream about your first time in bed (cause our religion doesn't allow us nothing before marriage) and what's like to have own family. As age of 18 we usually get married. Your wife already know to cook, clean and everything that she needs. She is your right hand. And watching this video shows me same way of growing up. You need to gather all your family cause we are going to have important guests. Girls need to clean house and make big table of food, cause they are going to be hungry. And now i'm 1200 kilometers away in Berlin. I'm engineer. For my family, i m hero, guy who was smart and lucky to finish all the school, and get job in Germany. My wife yell all the time, my kids doesn't respect me. They have all. We live too fast here. When i call my brother, he still talk about big catfish in lake, that we used to catch. It was 10 years ago that we were fishing in that lake last time. For me lot of things happened in this last 10 years. For my brother, it was like it happened year ago. Time stops there. My hearth hurts every day, and i m dreaming of going back to Bosnia when my kids start on their own. I belong there.
