The pastry *is* supposed to be crispy.they probably made it the day before, or that it was just sitting too long before consumption. It's my dad's favorite dessert😋
napoleon cake is one of my favourites but it is especially difficult to eat with fork or spoin😆 layers between are so thick lol

It’s definitely not Napoleon...Napoleon biscuits are thin as paper, so you have to use like 1005000 layers in a cake. And they are smeared with milky cream. Delicious! I hope you’ll try it once 😊
