    • Because there was no wind or movement to shake the broom. When Ryan came in, wind and house shaking (footsteps) came with him, moving the broom enough to eventually fall down.

    • The “ghost town” is actually on a private ranch in NM. They open it sometimes to tourists, other than that is is closed off and for the ranch only, that’s how they keep the integrity of the place.

  • Unfortunately this former town does have laws, they're called unincorporated territory laws. It's a lot less strict than laws inside city limits but sadly you're still under state/federal juristiction

  • Amazing i'm seeing this two years later. i dream of getting a group of people to revitalize such areas. Would be a two step process. First would be to establish food, this would be a group of people who are able to live in their vans/rv's and till and sow the land to grow fruiting trees, and crops. Make sure there's a source of potable water. Step two would happen once the crops were harvestable, and have a larger group of people brought in to catalog, and document how the buildings were. Then renovate the buildings, giving them proper plumbing, and have people live in them. Though places where your in the middle of a desert i'd lean toward making use of an ECO DOME.
