  • 20:50 Tom Hardy apologizes to George Miller for being a nightmare on set (showing up hours late, doing crazy shit, etc.). The Blood, Sweat, and Chrome book was eye opening for sure, can't believe how much they went through to get such a great movie made.

But now, I think hell yeah Furiosa was a strong female character and we need to have an even amount of strong female and male characters throughout these films cuz it CLEARLY works out. Ugh some people just think that they are above others, very annoying, regardless of the time constraint he must have thought the guy's question didn't deserve to be answered, as if HE was the director. Awesome of George Miller for his ability to give a humble answer and seem genuinely appreciative, you can tell how cultured he is just by doing that.

  • What a shame the last reporter was so patronised. It was actually something I picked up on in the movie too. Especially from Charlize. Her eyes were very expressive. It was just another clever artistic element of the film, whether intended or not. I like it when film depends a little more on acting than script. I enjoy the challenge of deciphering meaning without dialog, and sadly, not all actors are capable of expressing it.

  • George really showed a lot of character at the end by answering the gentleman's question. The moderator made fun of the gentleman's comparison with Casa Blanca when he was only comparing how the actors were communicating so much through their eyes and not through words just as they were in Mad Max. Then he ends the session with out letting anyone answer the question! But George the gentleman that he is won't let that go and answers the poor man. Good for him. Unfortunately it sounded like Charlize was making fun of him too. That says a lot.

    @MaxesandDavids@MaxesandDavids9 жыл бұрын
    • david reichelt I don't think she was making fun of him. After the moderator made fun of him for comparing mad max to casablanca and the person asking the question said "that's what I think is terrific", Charlize said "Yeah me too" and I think she said it more to support him, even though her inflection made it sound sort of hesitant. I don't she liked the moderator mocking him either. If you look at charlize facial expression a couple of seconds later when the moderator ends it she kind of yanks her head and looks displeased that he wouldn't let them answer the question. Then if you turn the volume up you can hear her say "shouldn't we answer it?" After that when George Miller says "we should answer it" Charlize also chimes in with a "Yeah!" hehe I kind of over analyzed this, but i really like her and wanted to make sure she wasn't being a douche. If you ask me, I just think the moderator was being butthurt because he thinks mad max isn't worthy of being compared to casablanca. I really think they should change the moderator.

Working in the desert for 6month can drive some people crazy. Tom respects Charlize’s work and he did said that he wished he knew better back then and gave Charlize the support she needed.

  • I remember watching Devil's Advocate in 1997. Now almost 20 years later Charlize looks even more beautiful. Such a charming Woman, and funny - episode of "Between Two Ferns" showed how cool self distance she has. Amazing Woman.

  • They made sure to separate Charlize and Tom since they didn’t get along. Ironically they’re my two favorite actors, but both intense and strong.

  • Good to hear so much from George Miller. Tom and Charlize are brilliant in this movie. Would have liked to hear more from Tom. I'm not quite sure what George was referring to when he said he was sorry to hear what happened to Mel Gibson. is it something specific or just that he's been so public with his raging bouts.

    • Mel had some issues with alcoholism and brushes with the police. He was persona non grata in the realm of movie-making for awhile.

    • Stephen Armson LaBlueGirlFanboy What's stupid with asking about how grounded the world is, and it works as a cautionary tale comparing to real life right now? Y'all thinking Mad Max is just some dumb action movie? We've been hearing more of hurricanes, droughts, and such disasters right now than ever before. That people might be considered as property again in the future when chaos like that happens and civilisation has regressed. The first Mad Max film was inspired by the 1973 oil crisis' effects on Australian motorists. Riots occurred. They became violent at stations and would go to any lengths to defend their right to fill a tank. You can still see that now whenever oil crises happen. People are addicted to oil, and in Mad Max Fury Road where it has become scarse, vehicles (V8) have become a religion.

  • Miller wanted the thing they were chasing to be human beings, he didn't even think about feminism. Kudos for someone who has that mentality without even trying. He thinks of women as human beings, not women being the "other" or the "them" in "us verses them" mindset.
