    • ​@@jaciem it started in the 40's to celebrate that the sandwich is a dish and not just for breakfast. then in the 50's there started to be advertising about the cake that they were a new idea that you bring out when you celebrate the national day. today' time, people tend to eat it instead of regular cream cake when celebrating reached special. birthdays/ New Year or anniversary

  • I'm Swedish but Ive never seen those fillings. We typically have a shirmp mixture as the inside layers with things like mayo and dill and the outside cream is typically just thin layer of mayo. And we top with things like lemon, smoked salmon, red bell pepper, lettuce, cucumber and sometimes even grapes.
