  • my father would always play this song in the car while we were driving. i used to call it “the longest song in the whole world”. i would say that line and he would play it. unfortunately, he died when i was nine years old. when he died my world was quite for a bit. but i’ve always found myself re-finding this song in different parts in my life when i need it most. i’m nineteen now, a whole decade later and i think he’s talking to me when i listen to it now. “someday you will find me, caught beneath the landslide in a champagne supernova in the sky” in some weird way, i think of this as some full circle moment, almost like he was preparing me , knowing i’d always have this song. i love you dad. thank you for always guiding me back to this song.

  • I’ll be 18 in less than 20 minutes. I decided to end my childhood with this masterpiece. (10/05/22): I’ll be 19 in three hours. My first year of being an adult was hard; I didn’t think I’d make it, and frankly, I have a lot of work ahead of me. Yet, here I am. Alive. Thanks Oasis.

It's just so full of emotion (as am I) I can't help but open the floodgates when it comes to this track. I hope you and your family are being treated by well. And I have one question. "Where were you while we were getting high?" 😅 lol sorry, had to. This song absolutely BANGS. 🖤 Bless you and your family.

I got in my motor and drove 30 miles around the countryside with Oasis blaring on the CD. I pulled in when this song came on, I turned up the sound, sat back with my hands behind my head and just drowned in it. From that day this has been my favourite Oasis song. it is indeed of the highest order, and I hate picking favourites too because all their songs are top drawer. But from that moment, something about Champagne super will resonate with me forever. Different gravy.

  • 1:25 that, right there. It’s gotta be the greatest intro’s to a song of all time, but because of what happened to them, they’re a forgotten band in many people’s heads that aren’t British. There was a good 10 years where I had completely forgotten about them and then hear Champagne Supernova on the radio. They were so huge for a short time and this is their exact peak, this song. I was 12 or 13 when this album was released so I still remember the influence they had… but I do also remember it was short lived, only a few years and then they had to go and say they’re either going to be big than the Beatles, or they already thought they had surpassed the Beatles lol. Even though atvm, you might be able to debate that, then I don’t think I’ve seen a bigger fall from sky, at such a fast pace in my entire life of music lol. It’s like fans everywhere were disgusted and offended that they could’ve ever held a candle to the Beatles. I’ll say at the pace they were going, they could’ve possibly had a good run at it. But that’s just like what happened with the Beatles and when John said they were bigger than Jesus, yet we all forgave him after that because of what would happen to him later in life. But the gen public didn’t forgive Oasis for their comment. But I think enough time has passed now and people have actually forgotten about and swept it under the rug by now because let’s be honest they had one of the highest selling albums of all time. 22 million copies sold. To give you a comparison to another high selling album a few years before that was Metallica’s Black album. That has sold 16 1/2 million copies atm. So that’s how big that album was; blows the Black album outta the water. Idk why I ranted so hardcore just now, lol, but whatever.

  • Recently discovered the greatness that is Oasis last month, this song along side the album its from are the only songs I've had on repeat for the last 2 months. This song is an absolute masterpiece and if I ever decide to have kids, Oasis will be something I will be showing them. Really goes to show just how amazing this band is and how much their songs have affected me as a 20 year old guy on a personal level ❤

So many memories and dreams and wants in life that never happened came back in a flash along with the ones that have happened with the first chord of this masterpiece. Thank you oasis for being he soundtrack of my youth. Thank you.

Slowly walking down the hall Faster than a cannon ball Where were you while we were getting high? Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova in the sky Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova A champagne supernova in the sky Wake up the dawn and ask her why A dreamer dreams she never dies Wipe that tear away now from your eye Slowly walking down the hall Faster than a cannon ball Where were you while we were getting high? Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova in the sky Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova A champagne supernova 'Cause people believe that they're Gonna get away for the summer But you and I, we live and die The world's still spinning round We don't know why Why, why, why, why How many special people change How many lives are living strange Where were you while we were getting high? Slowly walking down the hall Faster than a cannon ball Where were you while we were getting high? Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova in the sky Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova A champagne supernova 'Cause people believe that they're Gonna get away for the summer But you and I, we live and die The world's still spinning round We don't know why Why, why, why, why How many special people change How many lives are living strange Where were you while we were getting high? We were getting high

That's why you can listen to something from the 60s or by a band like Oasis and it just wipes the ass of some of the bands around today. Proper bands, proper instruments and passion to want to be the best. That's what it's all about.
