I'm leaving this comment here so in a month or a year when someone likes it, I'm reminded of this masterpiece ❤️
One month Later...

One month later

my father would always play this song in the car while we were driving. i used to call it “the longest song in the whole world”. i would say that line and he would play it. unfortunately, he died when i was nine years old. when he died my world was quite for a bit. but i’ve always found myself re-finding this song in different parts in my life when i need it most. i’m nineteen now, a whole decade later and i think he’s talking to me when i listen to it now. “someday you will find me, caught beneath the landslide in a champagne supernova in the sky” in some weird way, i think of this as some full circle moment, almost like he was preparing me , knowing i’d always have this song. i love you dad. thank you for always guiding me back to this song.
❤️🙏
What a beautiful story, hope my children could be reminded me of me through Oasis. God bless ❤
Thank you for sharing. ♡☆

I’ll be 18 in less than 20 minutes. I decided to end my childhood with this masterpiece. (10/05/22): I’ll be 19 in three hours. My first year of being an adult was hard; I didn’t think I’d make it, and frankly, I have a lot of work ahead of me. Yet, here I am. Alive. Thanks Oasis.
Happy Birthday. Agreed, masterpiece!!
Happy Birthday

Happy birthday!
happy birhday, I'm 18 too
The fact that this is 7 minutes long and I don’t get bored for any second of it proves how much of a masterpiece this is
Seriously though like the freebird or stairway to Heaven of the 90s
I assume they carefully crafted their songs, they weren't put together within an hour. Production values were different back then.
Wut? I never realized lol.

You know I never even noticed that before! Does not feel like seven minutes. Just shows how good it is
My children grew up listening to this masterpiece. Now in their 30's and we still sing it together... and always will
im 46 and this song was anthem in my youth
Was -10 when this song came out. I can sing it word for word and means just as much to me as it does for you and your kids. Funny how music works
Is that you ? I stood post one with you. Amongst life. Love to You and your Family
I learned this song earlier laat year. 28 years old and I truly feel late to the show. Don't make fun but this song literally moat days makes me cry. I don't know why. It's just so full of emotion (as am I) I can't help but open the floodgates when it comes to this track. I hope you and your family are being treated by well. And I have one question. "Where were you while we were getting high?" 😅 lol sorry, had to. This song absolutely BANGS. 🖤 Bless you and your family.
@@50gallagaIt doesn't really, kid. It's not the music itself, it's the time and era it represents. You'll understand when you get older. That's if your generation will not cock everything up, like it currently does.

The 90's were like an updated version of the 60's without the Vietnam bullshit. It was a great time.

A few weeks ago was my wedding. There were only the hard core present early in the morning, about 10 people. The last song the DJ played was wonderwall and told us to line up in a circle and put our arms around each other. Everyone sang the shit out of their lungs. One of the most epic moments of my wedding. Thank you for that moment Oasis

It's not the music industry, it's the people. If all anyone wants to hear is trash then the radios will pump out trash. If people went out and supported actual bands they liked then maybe trends would change.

It was spring 1996... I was 12yo and for the first time in my life I bought an audio-CD... myself and with my own money. It was "(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?". Gosh, 20 years have passed, and here I am, still enjoying this great song.
I really enjoyed reading this, don't actually know why. So much I had to let you know
maidpretty How is it 20 years if it's 2015?
Uza Raysin MaDique How about it's more 20 years, than it is 10 or 15 years?
So you're saying it's still not 20 years....like I stated in my comment......
Uza Raysin MaDique Pedant much? When people get older, they tend to say "It was 20 years ago", even if it was just 18 or 19 years. Pretty much common speak or basic math, because in math, you do round up at certain instances. How about you do something meaningful, than wasting your time with such nonsense? Have a good life. P.S.: i was a pedant like you, been partly cured.
My favorite oasis song. I cry when I listen to it, it reminds of the girl I love but she doesn't share the same feeling , we'll never be together , nonetheless its a cult classic the best, great vibes of sadness and hope. we want an oasis reunion as soon as possible, bring us oasis back.

@@Diego-kr8ee there's at least 20 Oasis songs that can be my favorites depending on my mood. But this song stands above all of them. It's just my opinion but yours can be different 😊

I totally agree !!!
Hey dude. I so much agree. About ten years ago I was having a bad day - family issues, self-analysis and all that crap. I got in my motor and drove 30 miles around the countryside with Oasis blaring on the CD. I pulled in when this song came on, I turned up the sound, sat back with my hands behind my head and just drowned in it. From that day this has been my favourite Oasis song. it is indeed of the highest order, and I hate picking favourites too because all their songs are top drawer. But from that moment, something about Champagne super will resonate with me forever. Different gravy.

This was my mother’s favorite song. I remember her singing this song at the top of her lungs, full of life, smiling through it all. It’s been 10 years since she passed away and I still come here all the time to share these 7 minutes with her memory. Music is a beautiful thing.

God Bless You brother, praying for you man, I never used to like this song, but I can understand it better now than I ever did when I was a kid, it sounded too dark and depressing to me all those years ago, but to see your comment about your mother and how this was her favorite song, it gives me a different outlook on it and makes me respect it more. God Bless You and your mother brother, may she Rest In Peace❤️❤️❤️❤️
When I got married three years ago my brother and I talked after the ceremony. He pointed at the sunset and said that is where our dad and aunt is. I agreed but I told him "as long as they are here *I pointed at my head* and here *I pointed at my heart* they will never be truly gone." Same goes for you. As long as she is in those two places she will never be gone.

This song will always mean something to me and my family it was played at uncle funeral in 2021 after he took his own life at his funeral the family also did that name a start and there a star called super nova so we picked that star and named it after him ❤️❤️
1:25 that, right there. It’s gotta be the greatest intro’s to a song of all time, but because of what happened to them, they’re a forgotten band in many people’s heads that aren’t British. There was a good 10 years where I had completely forgotten about them and then hear Champagne Supernova on the radio. They were so huge for a short time and this is their exact peak, this song. I was 12 or 13 when this album was released so I still remember the influence they had… but I do also remember it was short lived, only a few years and then they had to go and say they’re either going to be big than the Beatles, or they already thought they had surpassed the Beatles lol. Even though atvm, you might be able to debate that, then I don’t think I’ve seen a bigger fall from sky, at such a fast pace in my entire life of music lol. It’s like fans everywhere were disgusted and offended that they could’ve ever held a candle to the Beatles. I’ll say at the pace they were going, they could’ve possibly had a good run at it. But that’s just like what happened with the Beatles and when John said they were bigger than Jesus, yet we all forgave him after that because of what would happen to him later in life. But the gen public didn’t forgive Oasis for their comment. But I think enough time has passed now and people have actually forgotten about and swept it under the rug by now because let’s be honest they had one of the highest selling albums of all time. 22 million copies sold. To give you a comparison to another high selling album a few years before that was Metallica’s Black album. That has sold 16 1/2 million copies atm. So that’s how big that album was; blows the Black album outta the water. Idk why I ranted so hardcore just now, lol, but whatever.
I think this song is better than Wonderwall. (my opinion) (I wrote this comment when I was 16 and still getting replies😂 love y’all )

Ok, im pushing nearly 50 now. Been into all kinds of music from the 60s onwards. These are the best vocals ever laid down in a studio for me at present...

Lyrics "Champagne Supernova" How many special people change How many lives are living strange Where were you while we were getting high? Slowly walking down the hall Faster than a cannon ball Where were you while we were getting high? Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova in the sky Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova A champagne supernova in the sky Wake up the dawn and ask her why A dreamer dreams she never dies Wipe that tear away now from your eye Slowly walking down the hall Faster than a cannon ball Where were you while we were getting high? Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova in the sky Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova A champagne supernova 'Cause people believe that they're Gonna get away for the summer But you and I, we live and die The world's still spinning round We don't know why Why, why, why, why How many special people change How many lives are living strange Where were you while we were getting high? Slowly walking down the hall Faster than a cannon ball Where were you while we were getting high? Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova in the sky Some day you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova A champagne supernova 'Cause people believe that they're Gonna get away for the summer But you and I, we live and die The world's still spinning round We don't know why Why, why, why, why How many special people change How many lives are living strange Where were you while we were getting high? We were getting high
Always thought it was "you and I'll 'never die"
❤❤❤❤❤🎸🎸
It pains me to hear this song as I break down crying everytime I hear it ❤ Dedicated to my only friend of 14 years, my Mitzy...I only hope to see you again, someday...
I love this song. It’s the perfect song to wake up to
Reminds me of my Mother and me spending long cool breezy Sundays driving to friends houses. She is such a huge Oasis fan and so am I because of her.
Your mom is awesome
I know. She also got me into hair dying.
How many special change? What an opening line, so true.
How is that "so true"? What does it mean?
sam doyle People change in your life all of the time.
C M sometimes also special people change because of the world... Also the people who can change it (sorry for bad english)
sam doyle it means how many people that had potential or were great people at one point and overtime grew cold and unfeeling.
it says how many special people change lol
This was one of the few 7min songs to not be edited for radio airtime. That's how phenomenal this song is and was at the time it came out. One of the most defining and iconic 90s songs to ever exist.
One of the songs I can listen to 1,000 times over.
Hey you should look up a band called The Doublejumps if you like Oasis
“We’re not arrogant, we just believe we’re the best band in the world.” - Noel Gallagher. I fully agree!!!!
AMEN!!!
At that time
I wonder what criteria he was using?

Of their time because they won’t ever be as good as the Beatles or queen or ledd zeppelin. I still love Oasis though
This song alone Blows anything 2017 has to offer....You can play this 700 years from now and it will still sound amazing.
by a million miles mate
That about sums it up.
Technology seems to advance over the years, but the same cannot be said for music. That's why you can listen to something from the 60s or by a band like Oasis and it just wipes the ass of some of the bands around today. Proper bands, proper instruments and passion to want to be the best. That's what it's all about.
What you said. Werd.
Al Lps I love oasis but this one of my favourites. Absolutely beautiful
My brothers funeral song. Unfortunately he took his life last year. On his headstone we even have “someday u will catch me beneath the landslide “
🦋🙏💙
🥺😢
Oasis and Twisted Metal are my childhood. Never expect myself to be hearing this song on the first episodes of a Twisted Metal tv series. A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one!
