My favorite thing about this update is that it didn’t feel like an online update. It felt like a proper story mode dlc. I really loved everything about this update.
So you're saying the character that doesn't talk feels like story mode? Waiting in those awkward mission launching menus is like story mode? Having to wait after nearly every mission to get a phone call is like story mode? The unrealistically strong enemy's who have shotguns that destroy you but tons of health so you can't kill them is like story mode? The short cutscenes and long tedious missions is like story mode? Really what part is like a proper story mode dlc?

I actually really like the payphone hits. I'm a fan of the unique criteria for killing the target for bonus cash (running them over with a golf cart or blowing them up with a gas tank explosion for example) and Franklin always goes into detail about why you should be offing the guy instead of just saying "he bad go get em" Addition: I just found out that even if Franklin gives you the same guy, you can still get a different special objective. The one involving taking the guy in a taxi the first time had me drown them, then the next time they wanted me to take them to a car crusher.
The payphone hits remind me of the assassination missions in story mode

Payphone hits reminded me of GTA III.
I had a similar experience. The Tech Guy Hit was my first Payphone Hit, and that one had me drowning the guy in the ocean after letting him the taxi. The second time I did that same hit, the game asked to blow him up in a gas station explosion, which I did by putting a sticky bomb on a gas pump and detonating it.
I absolutely love this DLC, just hate the lack of good clothes, weapon additions, tats, facepaints, liveries etc,.

Difficult one, it was nothing too special but at least it wasn't too crazy and felt a little more like GTA again! We need a quality of life update tho

@@TheOne69 it’s only special for GTA Online since it has been so disconnected from the general feeling of Grand Theft Auto games. It falls under “it makes the game feel like gta again” which is something we need more of. Playing as actual characters again instead of mutes is very refreshing.
You dont need to use crazy guns and vehicles to do these jobs, i just use a normal AR like a normal person and kinda immerse and roleplay a bit, you do that the game is a lot more enjoyable

I know right? I hated the Tuner update. Don’t get me wrong, I really love the garage and the car customization, but I cannot stand Moodyman and his fugly do-nothing-all-day bitch of a girlfriend! I want to punch Moodyman and his girlfriend as much as possible! lol But anyway, I can’t stop loving this DLC. It’s great to see those two again, Franklin and Lamar(plus Chop). I actually really like the new characters in this DLC, they’re pretty chill in my opinion.
The unique criteria for the assassinations makes them alot more interesting and you can't just be boring and blow up them all on your Oppressor everytime.
I'm still pushing through the Dr. Dre contract, haven't had much opportunity to play since the DLC came out. But so far I've been liking it! Wonder how many people actually went to steal the cleaning van before entering the Triad nightclub. I did, and it was actually an interesting dynamic having you occasionally sweep to keep the guard's suspicion down, even through stealing the tapes, guard didn't care, long as you start sweeping immediately afterwards lol. And that attempt to steal the laptop cutscene at the Casino penthouse followed by a foot-chase was just... something new for this game, I liked it! This feels fresh, doesn't feel as much like a typical Rockstar money grab, I don't even care how much I get paid in-game, I'm just enjoying the interactive show!
I Stile the cleaning van but it’s not worth it. The guards ignore you when you clean but a cleaner who was already there cowered as soon as he saw me and alerted the guards 😒

This Update was fair. You could make up to 100k in 10-20m of doing the security missions, the killing contracts also get you 50-100k… say what you want but there are many quick ways to make money with this update… the agency is great, you get a free car to use with it and the story is quite fun and not so repetitive
This update is sooo awesome. I mean you do need to get 2 million for an agency but after that, you can rinse and repeat dr dre missions and earn at the least 1 million a day! Throw in some payphone hits and/ or a securitt contract and you can earn so much money, and you dont even have to rely on other players. In my opinion the best update in a very long time.
the AI in those asset protection missions actually are somewhat useful at killing the approaching enemies
One thing Franklin said is that he'll keep his ear to the ground, which I hope means we'll get more clients in the future, either IRL or in game celebs, or hell even Michael wanting help in the movie biz.

Just to tell you it's not One Mission you get to play with Lamar and Franklin, it's in fact 3 mission to start the other 2 you have to go back to Dr.Dre studio and go to the smoking room and smoke the weed again so you could start the next one

One of the best features is being able to play in invite only, I'm actually playing the dlc missions rather than just buying the clothes and cars this time.

I imagine the taser might have some fun shenanigans you can do with it. I know one of my favorites is to taze somebody standing in an oil slick, and watch as they are unable to get up indefinitely as you keep putting oil slick mines next to them. Hard to execute, but the few griefers that have been left there indefinitely get very upset. And at least on console, I find the EMP to be quite useful. Nothing like stopping someone going on their hit-and-run spree in a nightshark by EMPing it and using a single FMJ round from the revolver to dispatch their stopped vehicle. Or trying to find a way to stop a vehicle that you need to capture for a mission. Not necessary, but occasionally useful. I prefer both the taser and the EMP launcher to another rifle/melee weapon/functionally-identical-to-something-I-already-own weapon I won't use.

A nice overall review of The Contract DLC/Update there indeed👍👏 The update itself was pretty great overall it has to be said, especially the new Franklin & Lamar based Short Trips🤯 can definitely see them using that new 'feature' again in future hopefully, like say potentially to see what Michael & Trevor are doing nowadays too!🤔 But yeah, there's still a lot of pros and cons to take away from the update, with many nice little changes/additions across the board, but I feel like the AI enemies aimbot was even more overkill in most of those new missions😫 which took away from some enjoyment of the overall story itself due to being killed by ridiculously overpowered enemies!

0:13 hint (any area with that missions) you can use a big vehicle to block the Molotov enemy vehicle outside the zone so they won't respond just don't kill them (very important) Like in this area the big vehicle has to go right outside the gate Oh and there is a ladder on the side of that building if you want to go up and snipe
Out of all the of the missions. I loved the one when you steal the music back from a specific gang
The enemy distance respawn is very annoying. For example for that contract where you have to defend some cargo on a LS harbour peninsula, I thought "great, they can only come from one road, easy to defend". Wrong, they respawn almost right on you.
I realized the EMP launcher is one of the few counters to someone using the new RC cars to grief without getting in a weaponized vehicle. Pop an EMP grenade on somebody using an RC car and then blow it up, shouldn't be too hard.

The Taser I'm a lot cooler with than the EMP Launcher, which is pretty awful aside from some stupid niches. You can throw explosives at people after you tase them for some pretty funny kills. It's best when paired with a molotov.

the DLC itself is good, but R* is still forgetting 1 major thing that still irks me. where's the anti-cheat? seriously, I just came back for the DLC. I left for almost 6 months because i got tired of the cheaters being in every session.
Let’s kept it real, they’ll never get rid of cheaters. It’s the servers fault being hosted by one player which is 2004 servers. They should just get rid of their servers and make new servers that aren’t tied to one’s connection. This is why I don’t join public sessions but u still need to which is completely stupid and a waste of anyone’s time. They really support the griefing by telling the player to blow up someone’s stuff. Who ever designed these servers doesn’t deserve a job
@@deathrage7608 It's not tied to one player, it's shared between all players. It's called Peer 2 Peer Networking: If one player acted as host, you couldn't have modders creating objects unless they were the host. Since *all* players act as host and share data to 'mutually agree' on reality, modders can have their game report the presence of, say, a flying bus and the others will then accept that reality and integrate it. That's why when you change games these things aren't dumped from memory sometimes, and persist into the next lobby you join (but are invisible collision walls to everyone else). And it's not out of date - the reason it's used is it is dirt cheap to run (just matchmaking costs) and consoles don't get modded much.
The emp laucher is useful in my opinion also the tazer is perfect for getting stabs
By the way the EMP gun shines bright if you use it with a motorcycle. You can fire this from a motorcycle stopping players in their tracks no matter what they're driving and take them out. Really want to have fun use your taser to tase them out of the vehicle and watch them squirm on the floor it's so awesome
This DLC finally gave me a reason to use the unholy hell bringer because of the fact that there's so many enemies and I normally play solo
Honestly, all I care about for the agency is that I can get my snacks and body armor without leaving the building that I start the mission in.
Honestly they should've added body armor in properties since as early as the Doomsday Heist update, like what the fuck was that giant empty bunker for with all them unused space
3:10 I think we also had AI friendlies in the data contract of the LS Tuners autoshop heists. though, since you got attacked by 50 bajillion merryweather dudes armed to the teeth, they never really could do anything..
Also if you sell your nightclub, there's this one mission where on the last drop-off the buyer's partner is under attack and you have to help her. She also has like 2 ai dudes helping her

Would totally still be fun and challenging. Even though the chasers is session would probably get owned ten fold. I would still find it enjoyable a d something to keep at. Even on opposing side.
They should totally add a job were you play as Trevor and protect your stock of weed somethingo or drugs and the way you enter it is by visiting his first house

Question: if doing a regular contract mission from the agency with a friend or random, does it count as a contract you did?
Its pretty good for the first time doing the mission dr. Dre took a couple hours but instead of giving you 1 mill it gave me 1.5 mill plus thr extra 500 to 600k from achievements and another 100k from competing the missions gave around 2.2 mill which is basically the panther statue I'd say it's as good if not better than most cayo perico missions
The EMP launcher is amazing defense for the R/C Personal vehicle and the StunGun Is actually useful in PVP if you're not trash

people really misunderstand the purpose of it it's for countering armored cars so you can kill the driver ,
but it showed the civ car being exploded. i thought the EMP would atleast do homing launcher damage along with disabling the vehicle trash weapons, also okay? the taser was already in the game, you could have already used it in RP servers lmao

whats funny is i think the taser recharges slower than the voltic's rocket boost, only perk of it is is when against enemy AI the taser is a one shot kill. just zap and the AI are dead after a few seconds of groaning in pain
Cool fact the stun gun can effect godmode users and is able to take down there health but it’s only lucky if they don’t have snacks to spam

The rifle is there for those who like the irl counterpart, stungun knocks down juggernauts so you can pelt ‘‘em with minigun and the emp nade is best for nightshark trollers who just run you over and don’t have to worry about rpgs. Tho they still are a bit underwhelming.

I actually love the tazer, I can finally have a ranged non lethal weapon.
This dlc is awesome with the content and that. But there was one thing I don’t like that is doing the missions in a public session, You know obvious reasons. But I believe you can now do it in a invite only session ?

Fun Fact: the "friendly" npc's register as enemies to a Merriweather Helicopter called in for air support. So if you want to kill them off without wasting ammo, you can waste cash instead.

I’m a new person joined in august Im level 69 and I’m doing a Cayo heist to finally get the office and get start the contract.
Best update in GTA online for me. I'd still prefer true single player dlc but perhaps this could spawn the idea to add optional coop in single player sperate from the online mode. Those short trip missions were so cool but will probably not come to much in the future
1. Friendly NPC in GTAO not a new thing. They present on in certain jobs. Like the one where you need to find fire truck to extinguish fire from cars in port. 2. Bug when you sit in car and it not moves actually happens quite often in Casino mission Strong Arm Tactics. Ramming it often, not always, helps.
1. Almost entirely unheard of, however. The closest I've seen in 99.99999% of missions are two hostile NPC factions shooting each other. 2. Yep, and I've seen it in everything all the way back to the OG heists. The problem usually comes from one player in the group / lobby having networking issues or needing to reboot.
Personally I Enjoyed it. Felt like classic Boots in the ground GTA. Also attention to detail is neat. Chop is old Franklin has kids seems like he married to Tonya (check his house where. Media stick is)

Strange how chop and Franklin have aged,but I have Jimmy eternally young down at my arcade.
The update in itself is lackluster. Because well, it's mixed feelings I guess. A lot of things feel bad and others feels like something that should have been added ages ago. Like the safe total capacity. Anti-homing tech. Etc etc.
There's actually more Franklin and Lamar missions If you go to the smoking room in the music studio with another player and smoke the 'special strain'

This dlc is good but once you’ve finished the story that the dlc has to offer all that’s really left are security contracts and pay phone missions. You can only do so many security contracts before boredom sets in and the chance to find a pay phone that’s ringing is based on rng. All I have left to do is the mission where you get to play as Franklin and Lamar and that’s all I have left for the main story for the dlc. Realistically I’m not going to replay Dr Dre’s story because I just wanted to play something different. The missions were ok but the first mission annoyed me where you had to ram the two golf carts with your golf cart. Target A was easy but when I got to target B he was very difficult to get to because by the time you get to him your golf cart might be a bit damaged so my steering was impaired from ramming target A and target B was going into alleyways and making sharp turns and everything and I spent easily 20 mins doing that mission. The dlc was ok but when I saw Franklin in the dlc I wasn’t pissing my pants going “OMG ITS FRANKLIN AND CHOP” as a few KZheadrs do when they’re reacting to the trailer and the gameplay of the dlc. It was not worth waiting a little over 6 months for this dlc as the wait was way too long for a dlc that could’ve been released ages ago. The thing I like the most about this dlc is that they did the armoury right in the agency as you can now buy armour which is really good. The weapons aren’t even good either the stun gun is just a troll weapon, the emp launcher is just a worse version of the compact grenade launcher and the heavy rifle isn’t as good as the special carbine mk 2. The cars are quite nice looking I’ll give them that but there’s not a whole lot of them.
the golf car chase was my favorite mission. we needs more stuffs like that
@@dammnpeople3131 it wasn’t for me because I only got to play the dlc during the Christmas because of college exams and I had to do the golf cart chase during the snow so I was literally trying my hardest to get the second golf cart but he kept on going into alleyways and doing mad turns while I was skidding in the snow, I’m not the worst driver but it was the turning circle in the snow in the golf carts that made me spend a good 20 minutes in that mission.

I didn't get to meet Franklin and such in the intro cutscene, it somehow automatically let me enter my Agency after purchase and I walked in like any other place and just went to the office after giving Chop a pat, then did a vehicle recovery mission. So it is somewhat buggy for me, but playable (at least from what I've seen on PC)…

Let’s say chop was a 3 years old at the start of gta. Since 8 years gone by since the start of GTA, and we assume GTA Online takes place after the events of storymode (or somewhat follows are timeline like gunrunning being 2017 confirmed by agent 14) then chop would be 11 years old, and since he classifies as a big dog since hes probably well over 50 pounds, Chop is 72 years old in human years.
Chop aged like Yoda from starwars itll be a couple of hundred more years
ther is also a bug that desynchs you from the map so you pointer is like 2 cms to the right of where its supose to be
