    • Essential Craftsman And that sir is, in my opinion, the most important thing in life! It does not matter what you do, just do the best that you can do ! 👍 The only difference in the way I sharpen an axe is I file into the edge, yes it's a good way to get cut but so far haven't happened. Thanks for sharing and take care.

That being, how to properly use a grinder for sharpening not only axes but knives, chisels, hammer face dressing, etc. Use of the slack portion of the belt is particularly good for establishing the cannel or convex grind on axes and hard working knives. Blessings!

  • You're such a good teacher, easy-going but giving all the necessary info, plus tips; and your voice is so nice to listen to, and you're easy on the eye!! I love your channel: you teach me the things my Dad didn't... (Well, he did work in an office, but still!) Thanks for your channel, and long may you continue. Blessings, K

  • I have cross filed many times. And it helps make the difference. Cut one way, then back into it. This helps to see where you have been, and where you are going. Skill cult is great for axe info!
