  • I know some people can´t handle the raw emotions of Djokovic, but every top player is a maniac in some ways - even Federer, eventhough he covers it up. Nonetheless, I remember the furious Roger, smashing raquets, shouting at specatators and so on. Federer needs balance to be in the zone, between fire and ice, on the other side Djokovic needs a fiery rage upon which he feeds. Everyone is different, yet they all have to be crazy - or in love with tennis - to do what they do.

EVERY great athlete is great when he respects when whining and respected when losing. That is the only one reason why this guy is way behind RF and Rafael Nadal, both who wining or losing ARE CLASSY, POLITE and MATURE (RESPECTFUL). • Novak's scream at the end was a release of emotions due to frustation, desperation and pressure he was having at that last game. 1) He knew he was facing Rafa in the next game, therefore had to keep this match as short as possible to be as fresh as possible 2) He isn't doing well on tie breaks recently, and knew that he had to win that game else the match could end up going to a 5 setter 3) the whole drama of match pausing, crowds against him, match dragging till almost 12am was frustating him as well. He had a break point aswell to prove my point but the scoreline from the first 2 sets suggested a comfortable couple of sets for Djokovic. Just shows how good the top top players are. Berretini in the end made way too many unforced errors and he missed some right sitters when at the net a few times. He just looks clueless when at the net, I guess it's because of his opponent. If he can improve under pressure and learn what shots to play when at the net he can go deep in the big tournaments for sure. Djokovic was a deserved winner and what a match up in the next round with my man Nadal! Gna be a thriller

    • Berrettini weakness was his backhand and net game. His backhand usually defers to a slice which against other players would work well, but against elite players, they can take that opportunity to make him run. His net game was painfully exposed by Djokovic as well. While he could run to most of the drop shots early in the sets, the direction of his counter was predictable, down the line to the back of the court where Djokovic was waiting. Other than that, I felt that he was quite close but he just couldnt take the break point when it was there for the taking. Too many mistakes and trying to win the point too fast.

  • I am such a Djokovic fan. How some people can have issue with him venting at the end I have no idea. He routinely has to battle his opponent and the crowd and does it with class. I am convinced that this opposition stokes a fire inside him that has led him to what he has accomplished. Federer and Nadal came along ahead of him and locked up much of the tennis fan base, but not all of us. Also, the last I checked he leads both of those two head to head lifetime.
