Title: Warehouse Line Marking in the UK | Durable and Long-Lasting Solutions
Description:
Welcome to our channel, where we showcase the best warehouse line marking services in the UK! In this video, we take you through our step-by-step process to create a durable and long-lasting floor that will meet your warehouse needs for years to come.
First, we begin by prepping the floor using a shot blaster. This powerful machine ensures that the surface is clean, free from any contaminants, and properly roughened. By doing so, we create the ideal conditions for superior adhesion of the line markings, guaranteeing their longevity.
Once the floor is prepared, our team of skilled professionals expertly hand-paints the lines using high-quality paints. We apply two coats of paint, ensuring the lines are vibrant, clear, and highly visible. Our meticulous attention to detail guarantees precision and accuracy in every marking, helping to optimise safety and efficiency in your warehouse operations.
To further enhance the durability and longevity of the floor, we apply a coat of premium sealer. This protective layer acts as a shield against daily wear and tear, including heavy foot traffic, forklift movements, and the occasional spillage of chemicals or liquids. By sealing the lines, we extend their lifespan and minimise the need for frequent maintenance or repainting.
At Line-Mark.com, we take pride in delivering high-quality warehouse line marking services tailored to your specific requirements. Our experienced team understands the importance of clear and well-defined markings in ensuring a safe and organised working environment. • Is there a difference in hand painting nad using a line marking mqchine on how long the paint will last? Also if doing car park lines cqn they be done without shot blasting and how long will they last. Thanks

    • Great question thanks. I'll break it down in to a few parts: Indoor marking: This really depends on the product; for the solvent paint used here, I find that I get a better finish when hand applying it. Arguably it's slower and in order to get extra durability, I paint 2 coats. I think it really comes down to preference and every time I've sprayed indoors, its only lasted a few months, hence, I always hand apply. Shot blasting is a must, nothing will last unless you prep the floor. The best product to use would be a 2 part epoxy resin (www.swarco.com/products/road-markings/swarco-safety-line/swarcocryl-2-c-indoor) or an ultraviolet curable paint such as RapidShield (rapidshield.com/). These are 2 manufacturers I use. The one in this video is made by Veluvine and is a product called Marqualit. www.aximum.com/industrie/veluvine For car park lines: I would say hand applied MMA is your best product to use and you can purchase a hand mould for less than £40 and get started. You don't need a machine to start laying lines. The downside of course, is that although the hand mould is cheap, the MMA paint is triple the price. I personally use PPG or Geveko for MMA www.geveko-markings.com/products/paints-plural-components/plural-components If you want to spray (it's a lot quicker) you can buy a sprayable MMA such as the Veluvine Rossignol MMA or you can use the solvent system used in this video. In the US nearly everyone uses water based or acrylic - They're fine, but not as good as MMA. Preparation outside: For tarmac car parks, you need to ensure there is no organic matter, dirt etc. on the ground and make sure the area is dry. Ideally you would dry every line even when it looks dry as concrete holds moisture really well. I also ask my customers to pressure wash the area a few days before as removes all the silt etc that will reduce the paint longevity. For concrete, always grind or shot blast outside. Concrete is a nightmare to get anything to stick to but its cheap so builders use it everywhere. You may also want to use a primer on concrete to get it to stick.

  • Do you have to shot blast the concrete? I have a customer that don't want to spend that much and only has about 300 feet to do in his warehouse. He just wants the current concrete painted. Will it just not last as long as the shot blasted and sealed?

    • Great question and Yes, to answer your question. I have painted a few floors before in rented warehouses where the customer didn't want to shot blast because they were worried that when they handed the warehouse back, they would be charged by the landlord or where they simply didn’t have the budget. In every case I have painted without shot blasting, the lines have failed in month if not weeks and the customer always wants you back in at your cost to put it right, no matter how many times you explained it to them. Shot blast or grind every single time and walk away from the job if the customer says no! It will only reflect badly on you and your business otherwise

  • What kind of paint is this?

    @ArvindSharma-um5zt@ArvindSharma-um5zt5 ай бұрын
    • This is a single part system called Geveko HS and we apply it in 2 coats followed by a Matt sealer. It is a solvent based product with a strong smell so keep the doors open and the area well ventilated. It will dry quickly but the smell does linger for a few hours!
