Each Jōnin that intervened in Hinata’s match had a stake in the situation. Hayate was the proctor. Kurenai was Hinata’s sensei. Gai was Neji’s sensei. Lastly, Kakashi’s student had been spurring Hinata on to continue and he didn’t want her death on Naruto’s conscience.

@@deansmith9914 he knew she was in critical damage this caused him to speak with neji after his match with naruto, because he regretted everything he did as the hyuga's leader, the incident you are referring too is where the hidden cloud attempted to seize a byakugan from the hyuga they targeted hinata cause she was the weakest an most vunerable but her uncle hizashi which was neji's dad saw this and intervened killing the man which ofc escalated a delicate situation so to make things right the hyuga sacrificed neji's dad to the hidden cloud to appease their aggression an avoid a war. as a result hinata's dad Hiashi adopted neji into the main branch family an treated him as his own son to honor the sacrifice his brother made.

@@101academics He won the match with his shadow clone technique. He kept failing the academy graduation test because he was so bad at making even basic clones at first. And the nine tails may have given him an excess of chakra but it also made it harder to control. It was a handicap as much as it was a boon. So yes, he did need to work hard to win.

Without the nine tailes amplifying everything from ninjustsu to taijutsu Naruto was a goner. Then he had the audacity to talk about hard work when he is the descendent of a God, had the the strongest bijuu put inside of him, and had some of the most talented parents. No hard work needed at all because it was destiny. Neji was actually right and Naruto was the hypocrite here.

For those who keep saying the Sensei cannot and should not interfere with the exam or battle like how Guy did for Rock Lee when he fought Gaara, let me tell you this. First yes as a Sensei they aren't allowed to help their disciple cause it's an exam. But in Lee's situation, he already stands down, but Gaara still attacking. Gaara already crushed his arm and leg and left Lee half paralyzed but not enough that Gaara actually wants to end him for real. As a Sensei when he saw that, of course he had to stop it. Trust me guys if Might Guy wants to end Gaara right there he already did, but if he does that what's gonna make him? Of course it will be an unfair battle between Sensei who has a lot of experience and knowledge vs a student who is still learning. All he did was stop Gaara from crossing the line. Lee already lost consciousness and yet Gaara still not stopping.
Sensei's have always been allowed to interfere. Its just understood that once they do, it is an automatic loss for the one they help. With that in mind, they interfere when it is really important, such as when a student may lose his life.

Rock Lee developed a loyal relationship with Naruto because he could relate to him. Remember, Naruto was an outcast due to the nine tails. Rock Lee realizes he would be in the same boat if it wasn't for Guy Sensei's reputation with only taijutsu.

I feel like this was unjust. How could they let gaara mutilate lee yet stop neji. That isn't right. The whole exams had many people dying, yet they stopped neji of his justice. Bro had a reason for hating hinata. His dad was killed because her father failed to guard their house. His father died because hinata almost got kidnapped. Then, hinata never once asked about her uncle. Imagine the only parent you have being killed on behalf of someone else and that person showing no remorse over it. If my parent was killed because of my cousin and that cousin acted as if thry never knew my now dead parent, I'd hate my cousin as well. And at least hinata trained with neji, hanabi age 6 is getting beat up by her own dad, a grown man that isolated her from society and uses her as a punching bag. Their is a reason as an adult hanabi wouldn't let her father train boruto. There is a reason she said, "you won't hold back and boruto will end up hating you too." Meaning she can't stand her father because he beat her as a child and kept her from joining the academy and making friends. The creator even said he had to kill neji because hanabi was going to be kidnapped and he knew neji would never have let anyone kidnap hanabi. Meaning when neji died so did the only person that cared gorgeous hanabi.
