For everyone asking if my printed labels have faded over time: I have labels printed over 5 months ago and they have not faded. However they are in places with cool temperatures and indoors and out of direct sunlight. I think variables like heat and sun exposure may vary your results but for me so far, the labels look good as the first day they were printed!

@@RWAquariumPages still fine!! One of the labels has even been put through the microwave a handful of times and it’s still okay!! (it’s a label on a Tupperware container of sugar wax that I reheat for about 30 seconds each time I use it)

Hello, does it work with generic thermal paper? I have niimbot that works on different brand/generic thermal paper, so i bought another only to find out new version don't support other thermal paper that is not from niimbot itself. That is why im looking for another brand of thermal printer that won't have a problem with different brand of thermal paper. Thank you

I'm a Korea user. I want to buy a PHOMEMO label to decorate my diary, but the video helped me a lot. Don't you use it for a year and then blurry print when printing unlike the first time? Is the label underperforming? Are you still using it well? I'm curious
Please, can you tell me, where you found types of fonts? In my Print Master app I have only 3 types of fonts 😂
How quickly does the image fade? Since it’s on thermal paper (like a receipt) it fades eventually but just not sure the time frame. Does it mention that in the instructions?

I have a different phomemo printer but it uses the same thermal paper. Pictures I printed out two years ago and put in a journal have already massively faded. I don’t bother using the printer now because of the fading issue. Its ok for printing off stuff if you aren’t worried about the images eventually fading to practically nothing but it’s definitely not worth putting images in a journal.
@@RainbowLane Have you tried putting clear tape over the prints to protect the image? Would that even work 🤔
@@tamaradominguez1036 Hi Tamara, I haven’t used tape but I did use a clear sealer over the top and it didn’t stop the images from fading away. It’s the same method of printing that they use to print receipts in stores, and they too fade away over time. For that reason, I photograph all the receipts I need to keep for business records. Thermal printing is known to be very transient so not great if you want permanent record of something.
Are the labels easy to find or inexpensive? Do u have to buy labels specifically for that machine? Normally when buying label machines you get duped because the labels are so expensive. Then it's not worth it.
Is it only one size u can use for the paper ?

Only black and white! Like paper receipts it uses thermal printing technology so there’s no ink being used.

Hiii, love your personal sticker logo ♥ I am considering buying a phomemo printer for labeling... How is it with the adhesiveness of the sticker paper? If you put it on a plastic/glass surface and after awhile you try put it off - will there be remnants of the glue and paper afterwards? or will it come off cleanly? :) Thanks!
Hi there! The stickiness is great and stays well and when I put one of the labels on a Tupperware container it came off nice and clean. I think that will depend on what kind of plastic or how long the label was on there for though. Nonetheless, if it does leave behind a residue you can always clean it off with rubbing alcohol and a paper towel :)

The printer itself can only print black and white, so if you want colored labels the paper has to be colored already.

but what if you want 2 and 1/2 inches or 3" stickers can it do that as well? It does not print in color?
The labels you can buy for this little printer range from 20mm - 50mm which is a little bit under 2” inches. So if you want something bigger printed you’d have to use a different device! And yes it only prints black.

Yes you would need different shaped labels if you want circles, squares, rectangles, etc. and then adjust the size and shape of the label in the app.

the problem may be that picture doesn't have all the pixels in black and white inversion... the image may have a few colored pixels and the printer won't print them... try to convert the image to black and white again

Omg, it was driving me crazy that it wouldn't print straight!!! I didn't click the wheel tight either. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤣🤣🤣
Make sure you wash your hands after handling this type of paper. Thermal paper has BPA, which is linked to cancer and other diseases.
This, although washing with certain soaps or cleaning products, will often intensify absorption. Best to avoid any contact at all.

My experience with thermal labels is they darken and yellow in time. If you live in the desert don't leave thermal printings in hot car.

Great video. But how can that be your logo, it’s a copy of Miffy (which is copyrighted) that’s like using Hello Kitty or Mickey Mouse as a logo.
My logo is based off a figurine I made years ago (tutorial of it can be found on my channel, “simplistic bunny”). I see similarities to Miffy but it’s because they’re both pretty generic bunnies! It’s not an exact copy and I did not even know of Miffy when I first made it.

Yes thermal printing only prints black, but you can get thermal labels that are colored.
this may look like a great deal now but be cautious using it for professional products you will sell. Thermal printing fades over time and yellows, it doesn't stay at print quality

@@CoolRiceBunnies thermal paper is unfortunately not recyclable in the way normal paper is due to the chemicals it's coated in. i do still think it's a neat product though! love your channel btw :)

ditch the music- very loud and distracting...
I’m usually pretty good about balancing the volume of the music and my voice overs, I think I just messed up a bit here and didn’t realize how loud it was. Will be more cautious of that next time as I do prefer to have background music 😊
Cute but thermal printed images fade over time. So this is not good for permanent printed images.
It’s not advisable to purchase eventually the print will fade and gone , then you need to buy again 😂
