  • Thank you for sharing this beautiful family! I don't get to leave our house much, but Sandhill Cranes like to take strolls through our neighborhood. It's so endearing seeing them walk on sidewalks haha.

  • Mark, this was one of your very best videos. The story creation was outstanding. When my wife watched it, she followed every twist and turn. Her favorite scene was when one of the chicks managed to climb under the adult bird's wing. I thought the background music was excellent and added to the impact of the video. The technical quality of the video and stills shows the amazing progress in cameras in the last years. Makes my D500 and Nikon 200 to 500 mm feel obsolete, but then I am unlikely to get up at 5 AM to get the perfect morning light. Maybe I will get out to the marshes around Lodi California to see and photograph the Sandhill Cranes this winter, though.

  • This was awesome! I live on a lake in Deltona FL and have a pair that stay on my property ..This is the second year with their 2 babies! I see them face to face and it was wonderful to see the closeups of the nest you showed. Their nest is just across the water in the marsh.... Beautiful Closeups. Very interesting with the egg shells never knew that. Had to have wildlife man I know come and net the mama last august because there was a plastic hard object on her bottom beak and thank god we got it off in time she was starting to loose blood flow and her beak could have fell off... Trash of course from mankind. Just horrible the things he was telling me he finds on these cranes every year is horrible.. I always pick up anything I see here in my area.. They are so beautiful and they know their names Fred and Alice.. How funny...

  • Hi Mark. I came across your KZhead channel and I’m amazed by by your content. Your pictures are awesome and you are a great storyteller. Subscribed. I’m looking to get into wildlife and BIF photography and got hooked after spending a few weeks in Florida. I have an A7R2 and have the 100-400 GM with a 1.4 TC. Looking to add a 200-600 in the future. The A1 sounds ideal but it would but would be a stretch. Should I pick up an A7R3, A7R4, A9 or the new A7IV. Of those, is there a one camera solution or would I need to get two bodies? I’m so tired of doing research so any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
