Season 18 of America's Got Talent was graced with some incredibly impressive contestants, and in the second round of auditions this week, there was one act that truly left a lasting impression. 20 girls in a school uniform was an act that no one saw coming. Hailing from Japan, the all-girl dance group called Avantgardey traveled a long way to grace the America's Got Talent stage with a jaw-dropping routine.

If you like Avant-garde I recommend Atarashii Gakko. They dance similar but they sing too and have original songs. Otona Blue is a great song.
@@Arigator2 plus AG have been around for a lot longer, around 8 years.
Ahead of their time? World Order was 9 years ago and they are much much better. Also they not just do comedic sync dance, they produce their own music.
Avant-garde or murmation should have won. Not some stupid dog act.
@@monkeyman123321Aventgardey is a totally different style to World Order, also a 5 member group versus a 20 member group is a big difference. Both are great, you can’t really say one is better than the other because it’s comparing apples to oranges.

In fact I liked their finale show best and I was amazed learning they had to make a choreography within 2 days... That shows how great they really are and work as a team. Their choreographer is truly brilliant.
You will never find a dance group with such high discipline and synchronicity. Immaculate movements drilled down to perfection. This speaks about how hard they have trained.
They need not win AGT to hit the jackpot. They now have fans worldwide for being original, authentic, artistic, and truly entertaining...
They are the best dance act I've seen on AGT. There have been some winning acts with impressive acrobatics but not the level of precision and personality that characterize Avantardey.
Honestly nobody seems to remember the agt winner. Avangardy is the winner for us truly. It's😊
It makes me happy to find out Avantgardey is from Osaka. I lived in that spirited, friendly city. Osaka should be very proud of their unique, brilliant dance group. They are winners in my heart.
As the after effects prove, you don't have to win the show to make it big. You just need to take advantage of the opportunity and exposure the show can give you. Then, your audience will find you!
There are no words I can think of to describe how great their performance was. The timing, the choreography, everything was perfectly executed. Thank you for sharing one of the best routines I have ever seen ❤

They were the only reason i watched season 18 of AGT. I voted only for them. I was so disappointed when they were eliminated from the semifinals. Thankfully Howie Mandel picked them for the wild card. And I was thankfully able to see their final performance. I am wondering what their final performance would have been if it wasn't for the chosen music having copyright issues.
There is someone uploading it but I forgot the channel name. It was using a melancholic japanese song. Some movements are quite similar but the whole feeling and choreography definitely different. They took a really emotional approach instead of just the usual quirky happy vibes.
This is a well-researched video about Avantgardey. Of course I watched all of their videos, but I've never seen a video that brings together so many different parts. I'm Japanese and can't hear it perfectly, but it's a video I want to watch over and over again.

You nailed it. What a great story. I am so enthralled by them. The creativity, skill, precision, quirky facial expressions and enthusiasm just blow me away. They bring me great joy watching them perform.
After watching, I realized that their quirky facial expressions are a nod to Kabuki theatre. Look at Kabuki masks and compare to their funny expressions. I love them so much!

Best thing I've seen on AGT: impeccable dancing, quirky/fun characterization, catchy songs, and such originality.

An act like this losing to dog tricks is an absolute insult and a joke. They were the clear winners of the competition, and it wasn't even close.

Ask anyone who won this year's AGT show, and most won't know. Ask them who competed, Avantgardey will come to mind. The people who win are not necessarily the people who will be the most successful. I think these women have a bright future ahead of them.
They were 100% synchronized, which is a lot harder than a lot of people realised, especially since their movements are fast.
Not to mention that there's twenty of them in the troop

I watched AGT 2023 bacause of them. How did they not win? I can't believe it
They are amazing and deserved to win but I am so happy they are getting the recognition they deserve. I hope they get the brightest spot light ever because they deserve it! They will go further than any dog act. I absolutely love dogs but that act was not a Vegas caliber show that I would be excited about experiencing live. Avantgardey are in a world class of their own.

It would be cool and unique for Avantgardey to do a special performance with Broken Peach. Somehow, I could really see a spectacular performance with this special dance group along with the equally talented vocal group Broken Peach.
I love them. Such precision, like a well oiled machine. Looking forward to seeing more of them.

It's a true reflection of the level of Japanese dedication in whatever they do.
Not to make comparisons, one has to jump into the wayback machine to the 60's for the June Tailor Dancers to find another large ensemble with high speed coordinated movement. Back to the wayback machine to Buzz Bixby's hugh wonderfully weird large company dance routine of 30's and 40's Hollywood movies days. Yet these young women have a pure uniqueness all their own. For me, they inspire delighted smiles when not laughing with their humorous high speed antices. To use a Western theator phrase for good luck, good show, "Break a leg, Ladies". You all have earned every trophy, award, prize money and sold out theator now and in the furure. Brilliant concept. And don't let fame go to your heads, wishing you all the best lives ever. As l hope to see many more eye popping performances in the future. Giving you all 10 WOW!!!!!s and thank you.

I do not care if they win AGT. They are winners to me. i always watch them whenever i see them. greatest talent and choreography ever. i know hundreds of choreograph people are learning from them. i also like Japanese cheerleaders at baseball games. they also have some moves that are totally cute (for sure cute) and entertaining.

What I really like is that they don't dance half naked.
Japan is pretty conservative. Japanese girls do like short skirts tho. Their skirts are a lot longer than usual in the US.
I saw this act about a week ago on AGT (Money money, money) and was just memorized by the movements and uniformity as they danced!! Like the behind the scene story here....but why were they "Eliminated" from AGT to begin with?? How can something like that dance group & the amount of work involved with in said group, can be forced off?? Great group and would love to see these beautiful gals do the "macarena" dance...that would be the best!!
They clearly drew inspiration from New World Order, another Japanese group, but of men. They also did complicated choreography, straight faces and sometime silly expressions, head bobbles and an iconic semi-slow motion walk. Always wore business suits. Not knocking them at all... they do this extremely well and there are more off them. They are also much higher energy. Truly extremely talented dancers. Note to the writer: there's a ton of repetition in this video. Often times the next sentence is an almost verbatim. Rehash of the previous one. By about halfway through it gets really old and makes the video feel far longer than it is.
Yes!! Many people want to see real - ”Avantgardey”. Now they are in Taiwan. You may be able to see them in your country in the near future.

They should have won.
In a way they did win. The results of talent shows prove winning doesn't guarantee success. AG is memorable and lovable. I don't gravitate towards dance groups but they WON me over and I'd definitely spend money to watch their performance.
At first viewing the name Busby Berkely came to mind. I like both very much. 🤗

I saw their dance cover of Useewa by Ado at least a year ago. Atarashii Gakko also dances in the same style. But I agree. Their choreography is so creative.
They're so wonderful. Their socials are a delight. This video doesn't have any new info except at 6:00 the narrator says they had to change their choreography because of copyright issues on AGT
