  • I would like a logic brain chip, with all the rules of logic, like a class in logic 101 in my mind. I'm schizophrenic and I find it difficult to think and memorise. I also think that if I had this, I would be able to, if I ever went off my meds, think rationally before I succumb to my emotions. For me it would be a safety redundancy for myself and others in case I ever fall off the rails

  • It's both crazy and futuristic. If they can be remotely controlled, or have sleeper code aka malware, it can do a lot of harm away from its original use case

    @TomNook.@TomNook.11 ай бұрын
    • Remotely controlled is just ridiculous, if it does not have a wireless receiver then it can’t be remotely controlled, that’s just logical, and if it does have a wireless receiver, it ALSO has to have a function that allows control through that wireless signal, on top of this, it would only control the limbs, so moving your torso would completely throw it off and make them unable to control you

  • I imagine one of the biggest risks of chips in brains is people hacking/spreading viruses and the possibility of disruption of the chips from a vast majority of things. But if this stuff is ironed out and it doesn't happen I could see myself getting a brain chip.

    • Put your cell phone away for a week or get a dumb phone see how things go. We are sequential serial beings and it doesnt take much to interupt us. Most brains already incorperate smart phones as an extension but this is highly destabilizing no implant required.

  • Neuralink is early in its infancy, the device they have is pretty basic as far as being able to input and output signal. There’ll have to be years of testing to collect enough data for it to diagnose disease or infection which will be a game changer in terms of not knowing wether or not to go to a doctor or to even input and output signals for motor function. It’ll be a decade at least before privacy of thought becomes a concern for those with it, and even longer yet to learn what signal to put in what region of the brain to get a desired result, which undoubtedly would need a even more advanced chip for a more immersive experience. Which is where the primary concern lies, I believe all the right questions are being asked in the early stages of this tech to make it safer.

    • It's nonsense to say this kind of technology - implanting people, using implants to connect to computers and control things - is in its infancy. That notion is something often spouted by people who want to deceive others and hide the reality of what is behind this "research" - illegally implanting people and using them for research and practice for entertainment purposes and with a view to financial gain. This sort of research has been going on for a long time. Some that work within the media are complicit in trying to cover up what's been happening and pretending that the developments are far less advanced then they are.

  • Musk will go to great lengths to avoid assuming the role of a family father. He will devise incredible explanations to reassure his son, ensuring that he can focus on delivering groundbreaking ideas to the world. With the child already being taken care of by a nanny, Musk's priority lies in fulfilling his extraordinary visions. A great father about whom the son will write in the memories "How father forgot about me"

    • It’s hard to imagine the future your children will grow up in if your not in control of it in some way. Some draw a circle around their families and will assure them safety, others draw bigger circles and that requires sacrificing time with those they love. Soldiers risk their lives and their children growing up without a parent to serve a noble purpose, insuring a broader level of security to not their children but others as well.
