The Fast Lane Truck I still have the glass packs just send me the address
The Fast Lane Truck probably the shitty tie rods, morbid gas mileage, lack luster design cues, made by GM (Government Motors) and because it’s not a land cruiser! (It’s gonna be in the shop daily)
Please read my post below. Unless you had the Hummer H2 transfer case in 4 HI LOCK, you were not in true 4x4!
Hey budy, they say that Hummer H2 is about 7 or 10 k USD in the State. Is that true?
Please keep having hummer h2 content! It's fun to watch.

Chevy Brent Taripe While I was never a Hummer fan, I do like seeing these videos. I think it needs a supercharger, lift, winch, Flowmaster Super 10 mufflers and snorkel.

I live in Black Forest Colorado. I owned an H2 for a while (I really miss it). I pulled a mail truck out of a snow drift with the H2. Never once did I fail to get through any snow storm.
Seth Forbus what happened to it
Buy another one fool, I got my 2004 with 117k fully loaded in excellent condition with nice black wheels for $17k
I still own my two Hummers..(H1 and a H2 and 2 Jeeps..) there's plenty of newer 250-350 fords & Rams that are harder on gas than my H2...matter of fact since I own the Jeep Liberty (wife's jeep) and a Jeep Rubicon.. I can tell you the jeeps are just as hard on the gas .. I Will never sell my Hummers they are the most dependable vehicles I've owned..and being up here in HudsonBay 🇨🇦area I know a thing or two about getting stranded..nearest town is 200km away combine that with -39c cold & 8feet of fresh snow if I get stranded it could mean freezing to death(if the bears or wolves don't get me first) Don't listen to people who call Hummers the most hated vehicles, they are not using them as they were intended to be used... Cheers from Winisk,HudsonBay ,Ontario 🇨🇦
Luke Hanson Photography good to hear... got the 2008 version, and currently working on getting H1 with some luck.
Right now I have an H2, it works great through the the snowstorms up in Michigan. The only problem is that it has so much issues
Say what you want about the H2, until you drive one... it’s an unexpected and cool driving experience. Makes me want one every time one comes into the shop.
Michael Johnson A hummer is really enjoyable
...and they come in often.
@@jeepercreepers54 mine got 156k miles and I've only had problems with the alternater
@Dustin Eward I was wrong it has 136k
Great video! Still driving my 2003 H2 and it runs great. Your test brought back an all night snow "adventure" when I was driving from CA to NV and an unexpected blizzard shut down the roads.
I'm up in Northern 🇨🇦.. We got another 8 feet of new snow since last week ..and little on the cold side -39c (that's -35F) for U yanks.. I own 2 hummers and 2 jeeps(H2 and a H1 ,Jeep Rubicon and a Jeep Liberty) Not sure if your aware the Hummer H2 has permanent 4 wheel drive..it's always on,can't turn it off .. unlike the raptor and my Jeeps where u have to engage it into 4 wheel drive ... also had you looked to your right below the differential locks you will find the Traction Control buttons for the Hummer H2...they work great .. my H2 an H1 are more dependable than my jeeps (The jeeps CPS left me stranded 200km from nearest town) The H2's 6.0L Vortex engine is bullet proof also never had 4x4 drivetrain issues I always use the Hummers when I head out to work in the bush camps(no pavement around these parts) I've also rescued a few pieces of logging equipment & trucks with my H2 the Hummer H2 6ton weight helps grip when rescuing stranded cars Cheers from HudsonBay🇨🇦
That’s pretty cool guess 💁♀️
More like 3.25 ton for H2. I'm lovin my H2, now I want a 2nd one!
H2 haters....Truth is the H2 scares the crap outa you when its behind you haha
People when i road rage
I love the h2. Really looks badass. Hope GM will consider building new hummer h2's
They are releasing new ones and they'll be all electric.
H2 is great in the snow. They're super heavy and just taking it slow, it can chug through a lot. I drove one for a bit and loved it.
Thanks for the ride!
Really appreciate the video, thank you!
Have a great Saturday everyone!
I've owned my Hummer H2 since 2004 and it only has 97,000 miles!
Imagine what an amazing vehicle the Hummer would be if it had continued development, right up to current technology. It would very likely be the best 4x4 SUV in the world. I wish GM would bring it back.
Yeah it would be a true beast with current technology
They are bringing it back, it will be an all electric.
Great video. For some reason I now have a burning desire to visit Hawaii.
I love this channel so much! I would love to work for this great group.
I've always enjoyed driving h2 and h3's. H2 had a great ride. I think the h3 was one of the quietest suv's I've ever driven. As for fuel mileage... Both were terrible
Love these snowy videos!! I have KO2's on my '16 Ram Cummins and it makes all the difference in the snow here in Minnesota.
*Basically that H2 is a heavier different looking version of my 06 Escalade EXT a LOT of the interior stuff including the heated seats and steering wheel controls are the same. mine is AWD though to everything happens without me having to push a button and i never get stuck. i love this truck* !
My MDX with Bridgestone WS80 is a beast in snow storms, too. Winter tires FTW!
Love videos like this! Real world stuff.
Lots of talk about how confident he feels driving a big 4WD in snow. Over confidence in these vehicles is the main reason we see so many of them in the ditch after a snow storm.
Great video I'm a hummer guy and it was funny to see you drive to the jeep dealer in a hummer 🤦♂️🤷♂️🙇 lol
Hey, while the Hummer H2 is ALL WHEEL drive all the time, does NOT mean it is 4x4 all the time. For true 4x4 you MUST put the transfer case into 4 HI LOCK. This places the transfer case into full 4x4 mode, locking the front and rear axles together (aka true 4x4). In ALL WHEEL drive mode (all the time) some power is sent to the front differential, but there is slip is allowed at the transfer case, thereby allowing you to drive around corners on dry pavement. If you didn't have the transfer case in 4 HI LOCK, you did NOT have the Hummer in true 4x4 mode. BTW 4 HIGH LOCK is not locking the rear axle. That is a different button on the dash.
Nice driving at the end. I believe the K02 are snow rated with mountain stamp which may have a different compound (keep softer) during colder temperatures. I live in Canada and have Goodyear duratrac’s on my Ram and they make a world of difference.
GREAT video!
I’d love to see you guys test a few winter tires. I’ve got KO2s but the wife is rocking continental all seasons that are alright in the snow on her legacy but I’d like to get her something next year as her tread wears for the winter.
I agree do a winter tire comparison
Really like your vids! So what’s the 2nd cheapest truck in America maybe the Toyota Tacoma sr 4x4, how much truck do you get for 27,000? (Sorry off topic)
Video idea I'd like to see, maybe Tommy could do? Tips on driving a manual in the snow. What differently you have to do with clutch so you don't lose traction.
Learn to drive a manual transmission? Learn in the summer. Know the vehicle. They are all different. The snow requires knowing exactly where your clutch will just begin to slip and how much throttle you can give with the torque you have.
Snow test in snow that I could drive through in my minivan with all seasons with little drama. Hardcore.
I live in western PA where we get some decent snows - and we have winding roads with hills. Most people do NOT bother with winter tires - no problem. Maybe it’s tougher driving in the snow when roads are straight and level.
Great video!!!!
So your one of those guys who turns the steering wheel to full lock before even moving 😂 good video btw
It has not stopped snowing here in Detroit since yesterday. Up to about 7 to 9 inches of snow now
Fun video. Thanks!
KO2’s are pretty great tires. I’ve got a set of 35x12.5 r20’s and they do pretty dang good in the snow here in MN/WI
Your videos are the best! But where is the snow storm?
I love how you trashed talk all terrain tires then right after you show the allterrain bfgs 😂 and say how good they are
I have studded duratracs and it doesnt matter what the conditions are like, im going through, but at the end of the day they are an all terrain (similar to your KO2s) and they slide on ice. Not as much as unstudded, but they still slide compared to an ice tire as the compound is subpar for winter conditions. When my studded duratracs wear out, im going to purchase some studded LT hakkapellitas. Going through ANYTHING is great, but it doesnt help when you hit black ice on the highway or your sliding through a red light. Keep posting hummer videos and let the haters hate, From a fellow hummer owner.
This Colorado video is such a win-win!
Can you please stop calling it the world most hated truck?? 😂
Well its the best distinction this truck is known for, what else should we call it?
Jeff K it's not the most hated. I can agree that it's either hated or loved nothing else.
Tsang Sung probably
Can you do a review about the Ford F350 2000 7.3? Manual please.
What camera system are you using???
The newer version of the T/A KO are actually snow rated... The old version are not.... I have driven with both on a 2013 Raptor in the snow in Denver... New version is way better
When I was a teenager I had a 76' Pontiac. Rear wheel drive, V8, and all-seasons. Got back and forth to school in lots of snow and ice with no problems. Even when they closed the school and I didn't know. Don't bet a dumb ass, and realize the limitations of the vehicle and tire.
Are you using the stock tire size on the H2? My H2 is awful in the snow and ice! Was thinking about "pizza cutter" tires . . . 285/60 R18s . . . looking around to see if anyone else has thought of that.
Got KO2s on my 2001 4Runner. We just got a foot of snow last few days. The truck is unstoppable.
You should take more attention to the road, instead of looking at Jepp, but thanks for the video and nice car compare :)
That was some very important education for regular people about those crappy all season tires automakers put on cars in the US. Everything there seems overregulated but they let people drive around on all season crap in Winter? That is crazy. Here in Austria real winter tires ("snowflake symbol") are mandatory from Nov to April.
Its called freedom. Bad regulation isn't cause for good regulation. If people drive slow and take there time they should be able to use whatever tire they like.
No. Downhill on ice...and it will all go downhill from there. My cousins in New Jersey all drive Jeeps and Trucks and they stay with the crappy stock tires because "it's 4x4 man".
My ko2 have the snow flake
I think it also has to do with the intelligence of the people driving on snow/ice in the states. But I do agree that having a proper tire is a must for the conditions you live in. I personally don't need winter tires because it's TX and we hardly ever get snow/ice at my house, but I have driven on snow and ice with all season tires and to be honest it's really fun if you know what you're doing and want to have fun.
no worries
If you're doing an overland build on the hummer, you should do a comparison between the hummer and a ford excursion 7.3 and a comparison between the hummer and an earthroamer.
That blue Discovery 2 was beautiful. 5:23
Give me this H2 please 😍😍 my soul needs it 😊
@Jayson Jonze i see it as a compliment
What part of Colorado are u guys at
Buen contenido gracias.
The stock tires on my h2 are beat and balding with some dryrot. It's still better in the snow than most people on the road. Lots of fun, it's pretty much like the snow isn't there and I can go through really deep stuff (like up to the bottom of the doors). that may be the only thing I've found it to be good at tho lol. Oh and driving through flooded streets its not too bad. I've never tried any off-roading. The winter of the big blizzard in Chicago was the most fun I've ever had.
Roman, that's for the snowy ride today, that IS fun, I've done it , and I'll bet a lot of guys have too. I was going to ask if it's possible for TFL to tell us what the actual differences are between the BFG K1's and K2's; I mean the 'technical' difference as told by B.F.Goodrich info. sheets. As a matter of fact I think it would be good to hear and see comparison's between and among the better known brands of tires. After all, we all have t buy tires too. Do you think that would make for some good video's ?
Thanks for the great suggestion. We'll try to see if we can make this happen.
I'll look forward to this. Thanks for the reply.
How's your Raptor doing underneath? I have a decent amount of rust under my 2010 Raptor from the salt from the winter.
Mount some Nokian winter tires and you will see what a real winter tire can do.
I have a set of Nokia’s Rotiiva AT plus tires on my truck and they do really good in the snow.
Had Nokian tires once ,won't happen again . Worst tires on ice and snow .
troll
i'm in MN too, how do i get a nikkian tire here?
Go to the Nokian website and they will show you all the places to buy. Lots of places in MN.
There is one JL rubicon here in Pueblo. And they said they had 2 more on the way.
Dont know, but from that video itself shows the Hummer had better traction in the snow. Also having a winch isn't really a reason for the truck to be better in the snow. I love Raptors and Fords in General, but the H2 is a beast regardless. If tires is an issue (As you said Better Tires in the Raptor) Thats something that can be changed without issues anyways.
A bit off topic but with your Sony cameras, are you able to power those by pluging them into a 12V?
Yes
I wish we had a super blizzard here in Colorado I want to test my Hummer.
the truth you are the best thank you very much and I wish you good luck
Are you planning any new videos about Hummer H2 ?I watch i think everyone . And it ' s been long brake from your last video. I 'm just writing here to let you know , even thought it isn t the latest video offcourse :)
So... Driving on the road while it was snowing... Awesome challenge! You guys have such amazing adventures! Now we know either of these vehicles can be driven on flat roads while it is snowing. That's great! Thanks.
Hummer the ultimate driving machine!
cant wait to see the hummer build up! wheres tommy studying hard i hope??
Since Ford has the new 4x4 Auto mode, could you guys do a comparison on how the 4x4 Auto compares in the snow to the 4x4 High?
I'll add another comment, i live in Alaska, i own a Silverado dually, a 2014 Equinox and a 2014 Escalade, those two latter have summer and winter tires, Bridgestone Blizzaks in the winter, best tires i have ever seen, better than studded tires for longevity.
Not all summer tires are equal. I used to believe that all of them are useless in winter, but I changed my mind after trying the latest Michelin Crossclimates. Winter tires are generally better in snow, but from my experience a FWD car with Crossclimates is way better in snow than a RWD car with winter tires. My 2001 Sebring with Crossclimates had never an issue, on the other hand my 2015 Mustang with Nokian WR A3 is downright dangerous whenever there is a slightest hint of snow on the road.
You guys are close to Avery Brewing Company, jealous!!
Darren Prest Would you Please give my racing channel a Subscribe
Weight can be your friend in snow but the raptor has to have a better AWD system. PS I don't know whats wrong with the stability control on the fusion but my GTI is really well planted in the snow. When I was a long haul truck driver I saw about every kind of car slide off the road, what made pickups unique is when they hit the shoulder they would flip. If you wan't the ultimate safe vehicle for the snow you want something like a Subaru.
Jeff K New ones does, 4A and also weather mode
“Overlanding” ETA: sweet donuts
Hankook iPikes if you want good TRUE winter tires at a good price. Second year of mine and they have been awesome. Passing my all the stuck sedans and minivans with a smile.
That projector head lamp is an optional or aftermarket custom
The BFG ko's are not snow rated. The ko2s are.
The BFG KO's I had were the worst tires Ive ever had. Maybe it was bad luck with punctures. Their performance in wet, mud and snow was terrible. Especially mud. This is just my experience and opinion.
kv sherm. Ya they are.
And actually they both suck balls in the snow.
Frank White. They are pretty good the first year but after that ya they suck bc they get hard and some of the sipeing goes away.
Just left the Jeep Plant in Toledo... Plenty of JL's ready for transit, should see them on the lot soon.
I think the decision comes down to which dancing hula doll you have on your dash board.
I would take the Hummer any day looks like a lot more fun
It would’ve been nice to get the dimensions on the tires
Holly that was a lot of JKs.. Our local dealership carries max 3 its all Rams.
does yours weigh 6800lbs? The sticker on my door says 8600. Is that not the actual weight on the sticker where it says gvwr8600?
That is the gross vehicle weight rating. It means the maximum suggested capacity including people, cargo, and fluids.6800 is the dry weight; 8600 is car plus everything else.
@@JC-sb2fn cool thanks 👍
AT tires are my personal version of real all season tires. Some brands have AT tires that are in the middle of a true AT and a All season/highway tire those make the best actual year around tires. of coarse nothing is better in the winter than a true winter tire but i think AT tires are the real all season tires vs what we currently actually label as all season.
I love this kind of video. There's also another way to think about it: How many pickup truck snowplows do you see, and how many Hummer snowplows do you see?
MultiPurposeReviewer that has nothing to do with which is better in the snow. All to do with the fact that there are way, way more pickup trucks than Hummers.
Hummer made pickups as well. The H1 could be had with a bed, there was the H2 SUT (granted a pretty crappy excuse for a pickup), and the H3T, which was a proper midsize truck. If they were especially better in the snow, more plowers would make an effort to have them, but you NEVER see a Hummer snowplow of any kind.
MultiPurposeReviewer again that's because there are way less of them. I can say with certainty that there has been snow plowed with a hummer at some point. To be honest I don't see your point. Are you saying that it couldn't plow as well as a pickup can? If so, I don't think that would be true.
Ok.
MultiPurposeReviewer ok then. Good talk.
Damn, the Raptors sound beautiful!
What snow come take a look in north Ontario Canada like Hearst, kapuskasing, Timmins i dont know where you see a lot of snow. 1 inch here is more like 10 feet come take a look one day and try a raptor have fun. Oh and be prepare for -30 and -40 celcius.
Americans have it easy us Canadians know what a real winter is lol sask here
I’m an American living in Quebec and got an eye opening experience of what real snow storms are, even though I’m from Pennsylvania which gets its share. That snow and drift effect coming off the St Laurent river combined with -35 temps for four to five months straight are brutal
As far as cars with all-season tire, if it's bad enough that you need snow tires on a fwd car with no clearance, then it's bad enough to stay off the roads altogether.
Zj 5.9 vs hummer h2 want to see that
Theres something oddly interesting in watching the hummer. I like these videos. I do think you need a few more inches of ground clearance, 10 inches more to be co sided a proper overlander and actually make it over object higher than bike trail in park. With enough ground clearance and proper tires, any basic Awd will do. I've seen 20 year old jeeps make it to the top with the proper suspension. Part of me watches to see if the hummer will fail you, sure it lost traction and hit a tree but it wasnt a complete failure. But it still bravely gives it's all, despite its many shortcomings.
Newer 2008-09 H2's, with minimal performance upgrades put out slightly more than mid-400 hp.
you still have the lincoln or did you sell it
We still have it
yay hope to see another video Monday and maybe another get together with the lincoln club :)
I don't have traction control on my 03 h2. I don't know if an o4 does
Nice rides but I'll stick to my venerable Hemi WK.
this is not a test this is a sunday driving,,lol
In Norway we are by law required to have tires that are made for the traction level we are driving on. EG. if you get stopped by the police on a snow covered road with summer tires you will be walking home... If you drive with studded tires in the summer you will get a fine.
Bring the snow down here to Texas!
I would swap that H2 engine with the duramax. Both are good trucks tho.
consequently at same time I was told the Silverado was the least ticketed vehicle on the road. once again not sure how much true there is to that. any body have an idea?
haha you missed the stop sign at 5:19 to 5:26.
Seen that to lol
macdud85 most people don’t stop on right turns.
Nerd.
Mr. P.J.Fry but it’s nothing out of the ordinary. It increases fuel economy, decreases break wear.
Is that really a good argument not to stop at a stop sign?! Also, I was just pointing out for a laugh.
I wonder why you chose not to mention it also has a locking front diff as well as a locking rear diff
