It gets even more complicated when you learn there's like five different attractions and some aromantics do feel romantic attraction on some level, just less than non-aromantics. Discerning the difference becomes easier when you really look back and look at your crushes and wonder if you really wanted them or you just 'decided' on a crush more so BC you thought you were meant to have one, or if you ever imagined yourself growing up to be in a relationship was it always in the far future? Could you actually imagine being with someone and doing those activities or were you always disembodied from the experience? Could you really imagine someone's face or was it blurry? Was it more so of just a vague placeholder? What you are saying about wanting someone to depend on, could honestly just be a queer platonic relationship as well. It's a very deep and non-romantic relationship that could be mistaken by outsiders as romantic. You could call it best friends as well, but most people aren't as close with their best friends anymore like in the Victorian ages and some aromantics raise entire families with their QPR partner yet are just BFFs. Or, it could be cupioromantic or lithoromantic you might be able to relate to most which are both aromantics spectrum and sound similar to your experience. I am happy that I even got this far in helping you, even if you're not aromantic 😋

You know it’s bad when these songs are playing and you can’t help but see their face in some sort of fiery golden haze… I wish I could escape this sort of agony, she’s so so beautiful; the worst part is, it’s not even her looks that are breathtaking. Her smile, her laugh, her kindness that seems to constantly be pouring out from her, her words so delicate even when they’re rough, she’s incredibly intelligent as well. I question how someone can be as wonderful as she is, and I can’t believe she even feels the same way? I swear love is such a drug to me at least but like- I liked my friend and so I confessed my love to her and she was in a relationship with another girl at the time and she said “oh well I like you more than my girlfriend anyways” so than we started dating and yes she told the girl she was dating that she liked me more. Which was kinda mean how she said it- but I was so happy until she started to talk about this one boy a lot. She always talked about him and never really talked about anything else even to her friends. It was that boy and not me. I got jealous and than found out she actually liked him but I didn’t break up right away cause I loved her to much. But I did after a month of it. But than 3 weeks later I said I still loved her and she said the same. This was over text cause it was summer. Anyways she that started to talk about this girl and said stuff about her and anytime we talked about something that didn’t include her she brought the girl up. I later found out she was cheating on me with the girl so I broke up with her....guess what...I got back with her...yay...anyways start of school this year we were dating everything was fine we shared our first kiss it was amazing....until she paid no attention to me and all she would do was make fun of me. I broke up with her and said I’m not her friend either For my good. The next day she was crying. But I know her it was fake tears. She wanted people to hate me but I wasn’t in the wrong right? Anyways I’ve been happy since I broke up with her. Just it’s really hard I’m still thinking of her and my eyes are still on her. Love is such a beautiful yet hurtful thing. (since everyone else is spilling their hearts out, i might as well too!) There's so much I can say about him. He is the personification of the sun itself. His words and laughter flood my mind so much to the point I want to melt into a puddle and just stay there. The first time he smiled at me, I just froze. His eyes lit up and it was so perfect. I remember him looking down at me with such a lovely smile, and all I could think about was him. I'm so in denial about being "in love" with him, but I think I'm ACTUALLY in love with him. That's literally the first time I admitted it. All I want to do is talk to him all the time. He says hi to me a lot, but we don't talk that much. I just want to be close to him. I can't believe how fucking beautiful, kind, and wonderful he is. Since I'm trans, I've never fit in with the other boys. But like, he makes me feel like I belong. He makes me feel like I don't have to hide who I am. I can just be myself around him, and he doesn't even ignore me or shun me. He just, smiles at me. Laughs with me. It's an amazing rush of adrenaline that I'm addicted to. If he is the sun, then I am the moon. edit: so, its been like a full year since this comment and i JUST found it again! um, so, the thing is--- i haven't seen him in months i started high school a bit ago and we went to completely different high schools. its funny, cause i still think about him all the time. i regret never telling him how much i loved him, and these feelings ive harbored for over a year has just gotten worse. i wish i had more time with him. i wish i could see his face again, it really hurts tbh. i look for his face in every crowd, and i cant get away from it. its been a year+ since i first realized i loved him, and nearly a year since i last saw his face if i ever see him again, ill tell him i loved him not sure if anyone will see this, but if anyone does, my advice is to tell that person you're crushing on that you love them before you miss that chance. :)

this might sound ridiculous but the second we fell in love with october came on i got a rush of this longing nostalgic feeling, remembering the summer of 2021 and how i dont think i will ever feel the pure joy that i felt that summer when i would listen to that song everyday. its a bittersweet kind of feeling where i am happy i can look back on those memories and remember some of the best times of my life but that i know i will never live in those moments again, and i cant help but ache with longing, just to get a taste of that summer one more time. listening to we fell in love in october may be my closest way to can feel that summer happiness again.

IDK who needs to hear this, but one day you'll find someone who will be your other half, just be patient and just let life happen and love will find its way to you. I really think it's important to self-reflect and love yourself before you can be open to loving others. Some psych term called internal locus of control, basically meaning that you take responsibility for your actions and outcomes, if you stay home all day and are rude to your friends and wonder why you are still single than you are blaming external factors which won't help. Nothing changes, if nothing changes.

It gets even more complicated when you learn there's like five different attractions and some aromantics do feel romantic attraction on some level, just less than non-aromantics. Discerning the difference becomes easier when you really look back and look at your crushes and wonder if you really wanted them or you just 'decided' on a crush more so BC you thought you were meant to have one, or if you ever imagined yourself growing up to be in a relationship was it always in the far future? Could you actually imagine being with someone and doing those activities or were you always disembodied from the experience? Could you really imagine someone's face or was it blurry? Was it more so of just a vague placeholder? What you are saying about wanting someone to depend on, could honestly just be a queer platonic relationship as well. It's a very deep and non-romantic relationship that could be mistaken by outsiders as romantic. You could call it best friends as well, but most people aren't as close with their best friends anymore like in the Victorian ages and some aromantics raise entire families with their QPR partner yet are just BFFs. Or, it could be cupioromantic or lithoromantic you might be able to relate to most which are both aromantics spectrum and sound similar to your experience. I swear love is such a drug to me at least but like- I liked my friend and so I confessed my love to her and she was in a relationship with another girl at the time and she said “oh well I like you more than my girlfriend anyways” so than we started dating and yes she told the girl she was dating that she liked me more. Which was kinda mean how she said it- but I was so happy until she started to talk about this one boy a lot. She always talked about him and never really talked about anything else even to her friends. It was that boy and not me. I got jealous and than found out she actually liked him but I didn’t break up right away cause I loved her to much. But I did after a month of it. But than 3 weeks later I said I still loved her and she said the same. This was over text cause it was summer. Anyways she that started to talk about this girl and said stuff about her and anytime we talked about something that didn’t include her she brought the girl up. I later found out she was cheating on me with the girl so I broke up with her....guess what...I got back with her...yay...anyways start of school this year we were dating everything was fine we shared our first kiss it was amazing....until she paid no attention to me and all she would do was make fun of me. I broke up with her and said I’m not her friend either For my good. The next day she was crying. But I know her it was fake tears. She wanted people to hate me but I wasn’t in the wrong right? Anyways I’ve been happy since I broke up with her. Just it’s really hard I’m still thinking of her and my eyes are still on her. Love is such a beautiful yet hurtful thing. (since everyone else is spilling their hearts out, i might as well too!) There's so much I can say about him. He is the personification of the sun itself. If he is the sun, then I am the moon. edit: so, its been like a full year since this comment and i JUST found it again! um, so, the thing is--- i haven't seen him in months i started high school a bit ago and we went to completely different high schools. its funny, cause i still think about him all the time. i regret never telling him how much i loved him, and these feelings ive harbored for over a year has just gotten worse. i wish i had more time with him. i wish i could see his face again, it really hurts tbh. i look for his face in every crowd, and i cant get away from it. its been a year+ since i first realized i loved him, and nearly a year since i last saw his face if i ever see him again, ill tell him i loved him not sure if anyone will see this, but if anyone does, my advice is to tell that person you're crushing on that you love them before you miss that chance. :)

this might sound ridiculous but the second we fell in love with october came on i got a rush of this longing nostalgic feeling, remembering the summer of 2021 and how i dont think i will ever feel the pure joy that i felt that summer when i would listen to that song everyday. its a bittersweet kind of feeling where i am happy i can look back on those memories and remember some of the best times of my life but that i know i will never live in those moments again, and i cant help but ache with longing, just to get a taste of that summer one more time. listening to we fell in love in october may be my closest way to can feel that summer happiness again.

IDK who needs to hear this, but one day you'll find someone who will be your other half, just be patient and just let life happen and love will find its way to you. I really think it's important to self-reflect and love yourself before you can be open to loving others. Some psych term called internal locus of control, basically meaning that you take responsibility for your actions and outcomes, if you stay home all day and are rude to your friends and wonder why you are still single than you are blaming external factors which won't help.
