The thing is, if this was just Fleetway, it'd make sense. Fleetway's Super Sonic is activated when Sonic is super stressed, so I think this actually would make a lot of sense.

dark fleetway makes even more sense given the circumstances of the story.
Dark is basically super when Sonics friends are actually in danger, or have been harmed, so it seems. It’d make sense for it to be dark Fleetway by this logic

I don’t know how Dark Sonic works in Fleetway… mostly bc of X’s use of Dark Super.
I like how we can see that fleetway defeated xain, because as you can see xain's icon disappeared in the end
This also means that Fleetway gets to control the body, since Xain is defeated and Sonic did not go back to normal at the end. Fleetway is freeway to do whatever he wants now.
