Everyone’s raving about the kiss, as they should, but seriously, their whole love story in this game was BEAUTIFULLY developed, making the kiss feel truly earned and all the more meaningful. Well done, Square. Also, them trying to board the Skywheel the first time while holding hands like a real couple is such an underrated moment. It’s so cute!!! ❤
It's very telling that Cloud gently took Tifa's hand during that segment but Aerith grabbed his arm and yanked him forward if you got her the first time. I love Aerith, I do, but the girl has no patience for letting Cloud come out of his shell.

Like yes he obviously cares about Aerith a great deal, but he always seems off-guard and hesitant whenever she flirts with him. Granted, im new to ff VII so i dont have much bias, but i always thought Tifa and Cloud had more obvious tension and chemistry than Aerith. Aerith is in love with Cloud, however it always seemed like Cloud loved Aerith becouse a part of him has Zacks feelings for her since Cloud is his legacy and has his whole disposition as a Soldier. Thus making Cloud (SOLDIER CLOUD part of his mind) Always have a soft spot for Aerith as her lifelong protector and first love. - But with Tifa, it always seemed more genuine, like the Real Cloud was longing for her. Like, the real Cloud was crying out whenever Cloud was vulnerable with Tifa. Once Cloud does repair his mind, there isnt much of anything holding him back with Tifa - Its amazing writing both in the OG and Remake.
@@koolerman4443 I haven't played Rebirth yet and I'm going through Remake atm and I haven't gotten the same vibe from Cloud when he's alone with Aerith as there is when he's alone with Tifa and that may just be because of the scenes in the game but it does feel like he is trying his best to reach Tifa, the only constant in his life, through the mess that is his mindscape when they are together and with Aerith it feels very much like it's coming from the cobbled up persona instead of the true Cloud Strife that is buried inside.
I never thought I would celebrate two fictional characters kissing, but here I am and I love it.

I think humans should just ditch concepts like dating, marriage, and pair bonding. I feel like this world would be a much better place without romance than it is with it. It does seem that nearly all fathers are hoping that their daughters never date or get married and remain single for the rest of their lives. Romantic relationships seem like a bad thing since there is a lot of dangers when it comes to them. The overprotective father thing is proof that romantic relationships are a bad thing, and this world would be a much better place without them. If someday that the human race ditches the concept of romance and romantic relationships, and got rid of stuff like dating and marriage, fathers would be happy about it since they wouldn't ever have to worry about their daughters ever dating if that ever happened.

This game went SO HARD with Cloti omg! I couldn't believe it, I thought they would save all that for Part 3, but they just went for it and made the whole main personal story arc about Cloti and their angst, with all other characters trying to help them work things out! the kiss is of course amazing, but I think my favorite scenes are in Gongaga, that sexual tension and almost kiss is so 😍 🔥
I'm even more excited for part 3 now. If we got this much Cloti confirmation in this game, I can't even fathom what we'll be treated to in the next game 🎉🎉

I just finished the skywheel date so don't spoil anything in the response: I don't mind Clerith normally, but with Zack seemingly surviving and also having time-skipped forward to the present day, it sets up a situation where Zack and Cloud might both be alive long enough to warrant them both getting some long-term romance setup and payoff. Clifa, in this particular timeline, also makes a lot more sense because this Aerith seems peripherally aware that her demise is a part of the story, so she's trying to squeeze as much living as she can out of her last few days, but she never really tries to make a proper move on Cloud to lock him down despite her obvious interest and pursuit. It seems like she's torn between wanting to be able to enjoy time with Cloud before she dies while also not stealing his attention away from Tifa too much. When I looked up the Clerith Skywheel segment, I was genuinely waiting for Aerith to go for the kiss, but she didn't.

It's a game specifically relating to the two of them. Of course it's similar in Kingdom hearts where tifa is explicitly said to be clouds light to sephiroth as clouds darkness

To all the Clerith fans out there, I think Cloud and Tifa is the most perfect match, and it is also for the sake of Aerith. Firstly, she hasn't been able to move on from Zack yet. Secondly, that's also a way to show respect to Zack - never go after the homie's girl. Thirdly, imagine Cloud and Aerith being a couple, that will destroy Aerith's image because it would make her someone who steps between Cloud and Tifa like a third wheel even though Tifa is her best friend. That would also destroy Zack if he gets revived in the final part as well, imagine how awkward it will be if he survives only to see his girl get stolen by his best friend. I am an Aerith fan, and I ship Cloti 100%. Aerith is meant for Zack, Cloud is meant for Tifa, this is the happiest ending for them.

Their VAs did such an incredible job bringing Cloud and Tifa to life. I remember playing the OG way back in 1999, thinking and wondering how Cloud and Tifa would sound like. When I heard their voices for the first time, it was like a dart hitting a bullseye. It’s incredible how their voice is exactly how I imagined it sounded like all those years ago. Excluding advent children, of course

I cried when they finally kissed ... the real Cloud shone through just enough to let Tifa know how much he loves her.
The fact that the Tifa and Cloud moments videos has more views than the Aerith and Cloud moments videos shows which one people feel like Cloud should be with. Didn’t think it would come out like that. Some of the dates between Cloud and Aerith did feel really random for Cloud and I’ll admit, even for me. He was just going with it. But every time with Tifa it was intense, deep, or intimate. It just felt more natural
Also dont forget that Tifa and Cloud moments are like 50 minutes plus meanwhile Cloud and Aerith moments are like 30 minutes only. Square enix is pushing this ship.

i'll never understand people who ship cloud and aerith.. like i just don't get it... firstly, it was hinted that zack and aerith were a thing in the older games and novels. secondly, aerith died, so like saying that they are "canon" makes no sense.. thirdly, they never did stuff that people in relationship would do, while cloud and tifa lived together, raised kids, kissed and slept together..

Cloud has always loves Tifa even in the original. From childhood until they build a family of their own in Advent Children. Numerous time Cloud show affection for Tifa starting from saving her in Mt. Nibel, found Fluffy in forest, enter Soldier as part to impress her, numerous interaction in remake and rebirth, his date kiss, highwind scene, the ending. Tifa also had always been there for Cloud in his high and low times (i love her devotion and dedication in taking care of him especially when Cloud was suffering from mako poisoning). I love it when Square make them canon ❤
they kissed even without the optional choices in other scenes cloud and tifa almost kissed when yuffie/Cait interrupt them lol also the scene when they all did the play cloud and tifa was about to kiss but got interrupted by barret. All that is needed now in part 3 is for them to kiss without option even tho it's been confirmed years ago and now that they are in love with each other and are a couple.😉

It’s something never really touched in games or movies, they always depict it as finding your “true love” while reality as you go through you teenage thru 20s the average person will date/love multiple different people (I think the average is between 2-4) before settling down Maybe I’m coping out saying “cloud loved then both” but I think he did. I think that pseudo-personality created by the merging of his and zacks memories and his own natural introversion required someone like Aerith. By the time of advent children, what cloud needed was the over abundance of caring and sense of family that he gets from Tifa and his family with her

I love love they really expanded the OG, that Cloud and Tifa likes each other and hit up a notch, laying the foundation for eventual reveal in the Lifestream. And I get excited thinking that even though they have revealed so much, I cant help but feel excited that they have so much in store for us. cant wait to see their reacction that they'd always been at each other side, even when they are apart and dont know the extent of their feelings for each other

2 things I want to comment upon: 1. Sephiroth is the best one-winged wingman ever, getting Tifa to lift her bra for Cloud twice lmao 2. Romance aside, I love how they're actually talking about things they would naturally talk about regarding their past, like where Cloud had been for 5 years and what happened to Zack. It sets up the story that we all know beautifully without even giving anything away for newcomers.

I just don't get that Clerith's always say "he is himself when he is with Aerith", "Oh he opens up with Aerith" etc. I mean, when? How? Are they so delusional? Are they skipping the parts where Cloud interacts with Tifa? You have to be blind and deaf to not see the chemistry between those two. They have history, they care so so much for each other, they NEED each other so much. How can anyone say "no, he loves Aerith and they are canon 🤓" This is the dumbest thing I heard. He not onces says or even indicated remotely close to have more feelings for her than a deep, friendly bond. NOT ONCE! I really wanted to understand what they're all meaning and I watched the videos with their supposed romantic scenes and it just made me question them more and more. I just see a girl who is having a huge crush (when we forget the disturbing fact that she at first compares him to her ex, which happens to be HIS BEST FRIEND, ugh, disgusting) on a boy, who has mental issues himself, something like a hero complex and memory loss, identity crisis etc, and forges herself on him and intentionally hurting his childhood sweetheartby saying things in her face like "MINE", and "we were on a date 😁" I just don't get it.

Exactly, some of the gymnastics needed for the arguments made for Cloud and Aerith are so odd. There are several moments in the story where they show Aerith being very pushy with Cloud and he doesn’t take it too well. Tifa on the other hand, their relationship progresses so much more naturally. In the first Skywheel attempt, Tifa reaches for his hand and Cloud doesn’t hesitate the slightest in reciprocating. Coupled this with so many moments where they show Tifa being the force Cloud needs to be pulled back into reality. Then there’s the whole issue of Cloud not knowing his true personality even at the end of Rebirth. Aerith acknowledges this as well so can you really be in love with someone who doesn’t who they are? Tifa does know who Cloud is and she’s trying to unravel his mystery without damaging his sanity. Cloud’s whole arc starts at Tifa and it’s made even more special when they realize that.

I think a lot of us have always known Tifa and Cloud were meant to end up together, even if SQEX kept the ambiguity and dragged the love triangle for years. He cherishes all the people in his life and he has a significant relationship with Aerith, but that doesn’t mean he romantically loves both girls. As Cloud’s VA said, there’s no need to overtly sexualize every relationship. I think this game has made it pretty clear that Cloud loves Aerith in a more platonic way, considering only Tifa gets a kiss and what happens during that dream sequence at the end of the game. Every single thing that happens in the game is a conscious and deliberate choice made by the devs. If they wanted Cloud’s romantic feelings to be up to players’ choice and interpretation, then Aerith would’ve also gotten a kiss. It’s literally her swan song and they had the perfect opportunity to deliver fan service, yet they didn’t.

Aerith is that bright loveable character that just get away with doing whatever she wants cuz she's a lovely person. it seems like Aerith is just pushing him around and he just goes with it since she's really stubborn about it. Though awkward, cloud seem to get more personal whenever he's with tifa. With his loner personality, it's hard to express his feeling towards tifa and his "badass act" just made it harder for him, but he still do what he could for her.

They're so vulnerable with each other, especially Cloud, and Tifa returning the promise with the piano cover in the back. SE knew they were cooking with this scene, so ofc Cait and Yuffie had to interrupt. Peak moment for sure though.
