Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has urged for greater international cooperation and inclusiveness at the opening of the Special World Economic Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Sunday, describing them
as necessary to gain stability in the rest of the world
The Nigerian leader defended his government's controversial decision to remove fuel subsidies, saying it was a necessary step to prevent the country from going bankrupt and reset the economy while acknowledging the challenges faced by vulnerable Nigerians.
Tinubu also discussed currency management reforms, stating that removing the artificial element of value in the local currency was needed to enhance competitiveness and eliminate corruption.
The Nigerian leader urged the international community to pay attention to regions like the Sahel and ECOWAS, emphasizing the need for political stability, trade, and economic prosperity through collaborative efforts. He highlights the importance of addressing poverty levels, capital infusion, and resource exploitation in these regions to achieve peace, stability, and economic growth.

Listen to Kagame's speech; He spoke of the challenges and WHAT THEY HAVE DONE even the moderator acknowledged the remarkable strides Rwanda has made. I think you’re missing the point President Paul Kagame has been in power of six or seven years if I am not mistaken,president Tinubu is in power less than a year. Therefore, President Paul has records due the time he spent in office to make references to his administration records. What is this guy saying? He is touting he removed fuel subsidy but we are still paying subsidy today on fuel products. A top marketer mentioned that in one of the national dailies. Currency management to reduce arbitrage but CBN is selling currencies to BDCs at 1,021 but its retailing in the parallel market at 1,300, is this not arbitrage or not the meaning has changed under his presidency. The people around this guy are not telling him the truth.
