(Lyrics):
[Verse 1]
The truth is bulletproof, there's no foolin' you
I don't dress the same
Me and who you say I was yesterday
Have gone our separate ways
Left my livin' fast somewhere in the past
'Cause that's for chasin' cars
Turns out open bars lead to broken hearts
And goin' way too far
[Chorus]
I know I used to be crazy
I know I used to be fun
You say I used to be wild
I say I used to be young
You tell me time has done changed me
That's fine, I've had a good run
I know I used to be crazy
That's 'causе I used to be young
[Verse 2]
Take onе, pour it out, it's not worth cryin' 'bout
The things you can't erase
Like tattoos and regrets, words I never meant
And ones that got away
Left my livin' fast somewhere in the past
And took another road
Turns out crowded rooms empty out as soon
There's somewhere else to go, oh
[Chorus]
I know I used to be crazy
I know I used to be fun
You say I used to be wild
I say I used to be young
You tell me time has done changed me
That's fine, I've had a good run
I know I used to be crazy
That's 'cause I used to be young
[Bridge]
Oh
Oh
Oh woah, oh woah
Oh woah, oh, yeah
Woah
Woah
Oh woah, oh woah
Oh woah, oh
[Chorus]
I know I used to be crazy
Messed up, but, God, was it fun
I know I used to be wild
That's 'cause I used to be young
Those wasted nights are not wasted
I remember every one
I know I used to be crazy
That's 'cause I used to be young
You tell me time has done changed me
That's fine, I've had a good run
I know I used to be crazy
That's 'cause I used to be young

  • I can relate to the song. Now I'm 67 , used to be proud, crazy, wild. Outcomes were horrendous. Made lots of wrong choices and family members helped me come out of bad relationship. Didn't learn, made mistakes again and again. Faith n 🙏 education helped me grow. Can't judge others coz I was there. From time to time, I encourage others to get education so it's not hard to get up. Best of all, Love Our Maker, coz His unconditional Love is always waiting to welcome us back. Amen

"Hannah Montana", simply grew into a young woman. As she should have. And her video dressed in a Mickey Mouse Tshirt. I think, directly speaks to what she is singing about❤

  • Omg, this woman is soooo gifted. Her songs are so honest and moving. Anyone who doesn't recognize her worth is just not paying attention. ❤❤ Also, anyone who thinks this song is about how many years a person has lived is missing part of the message. This is about the evolution of a person from being innocent, unmarked by experience, naive and impulsive and optimistic, to someone who has learned from their mistakes, had their hopes failed and their heart really broken, but carries on with the aim of doing better. Respect.

I guess I just wanted to say to anyone reading this, don't wait till your older to do what you want to, and even if you are older, don't let that stop you from living life how you want it. • As a responsible adult I can’t recommend your advice wholeheartedly but I’d understand if you disregard my take on it altogether. We all make mistakes - just try to avoid the ones you can’t come back from. Have fun but not to the detriment of others. Chase your dreams while you can before responsibilities become your priority. Cherish your loved ones and the time spent with them because they may not always be there and learn to let them go if/when it’s time.

I think she was talking about how her pain has changed her, and how when people say she hasn't changed, she sees it as them not really knowing her. Maybe it's my projecting myself into the song, but either way it's a beautiful piece of music

  • I hope Miley's warning is heard. Her reckless behavior in the last decade has consequences that she has just begun to experience. When you are in your twenty's and "hawt" it is so easy to go wild as someone else's attention is so easy to get, but the older we get the more invisible we get and our past has lingering consequences that all too many young people do not pause to consider.

    @OneTalkerOne@OneTalkerOne8 ай бұрын
    • Yeah but what she’s basically saying is; meh, I was young

      @herschelsquirts2338@herschelsquirts23388 ай бұрын
    • It's not a warning.... its about how life is just different when your young. Your care free and live in the moment (as you should at that age) but as you get older your priorities change . You realise what is important to you because of the figuring out you do in your teens/ early twenties ❤

  • This is my favorite album from her. This is all the life lessons uptill now and when you grow up in the industry like her and so many others you have to grow up fast and then go through puberty publicly imagine all the bad decisions you ever made in your youth being watched by the world and reorded and will never go away and people will want to rehash it with for the rest of your life. Yup makes you an old soul real quick. So for me and this album that she put out is the best one she has ever done! I cry and i sing ever word out loud because as an old soul of 36 myself i can relate particularly to this song but thats the one thing that will never change about miley her ability to make you connect through her music. That was a gift from her daddy and her God mom Dolly. 💚 Aint no one taking that from her! 😊
