I don't know if you are familiar with the concept "Burning of Coins". Even though the market cap and supply of a coin is a big factor, they can just burn the coins and thereby reduce the supply of coins and this will impact the demand of the coins. If the coin is performing well in the market, price of the coin increase with demand.

Fully Diluted Market Cap = price x Max Supply of Coins. Market Cap = Price x Total Supply of Coins. So as an example for Cardano 72 bill market cap doesnt mean theres 72 bill real USD in it. You missing this thing that market cap is not real amount of holders. Maybe some whale bought for 100mil of cardano when price was 0.025$, this is like 4bil coins but in this moment it doesn't show us that in 4bil coins 8bil of USD now. It's still 100mil USD inside) Market cap shows you only total amount of money if all circulated coins will be sold for current price, but this never gonna happen:) So the main thing is the price, then supply, then market cup.

Hello what's the best way to get started with trade cos I've been making my personal research for a while now
first thing to do is to stop all form of trade and seek the help of an expert to guide you through. allot of people shy away from this thinking they could do it alone and end up blowing up their account.
I've lost nearly 4000 in my demo account, used allot of strategy I saw on youtube and read online, what advice do you have for me, which strategy should I focus on?
I'd advice not to use all strategy you watch or read online. different traders, different strategy. trying to put all together will only lead to you making more loss.

Here is the thing: You can't time the market. That is why altcoins are pointless. Long term bitcoin is going to outperform most of them. And you have to be really really lucky to pick the altcoins that will still be a thing in 10 years. Because in 10 years there will be newer, better, smarter and faster altcoins. Why not buy a lottery ticket?
