The fact is, the cut was there long before the head-butts and Avni's effective punching opened the cut worse than the accidental head-butts did. They were wrong to call it a technical decision by saying "it was caused by a headbutt" and the American/hometown judges gave too many rounds to Dirrell if they did. Round 10 wasn't complete so it shouldn't have been scored. Judges be tripping. Long story short, it was supposed to be a TKO victory for Avni.

If the match continued Avni would have easily won it. What's more disgracefull is that Badou Jack who was fighting also fighting for a WBC belt (light heavyweight), cut his head open and the fight continued untill the last round. It seems that the same rules apply when an American is losing. This is also very obvious from the judging scores. American judges score 96 - 94 for Direll and the German scores 98 - 92 for Yildirim.
The referee would have allowed the fight to reach end. We have seen plenty of bad cuts and referee didn't stop fight.
