@@guuciixv thats actually not true. a better mouse WILL make you better. Different types of fingertip grip works signficantly better depending on the size, the shape and the weight of the mouse, and if your grip is not compatible with the mouse you are using you will aim worse. for example if a fingertip grip user plays with a big mouse thats heavy hes going to perform significantly worse than if he was using a small mouse thats light. thats not to say you cant get better with an incompatible mouse, but you will have to adjust and compromise your grip which will slow down your aim training progress.

This is like the only thing that I kinda understand from his standpoint (even tho he expresses it in a monkey brain fashion). Whenever I change mouse skates, I get fked with my sensitivity, and LOD for some reason, so if ppl dont wanna screw around with that, I get that.

I think he meant that the sensors won't work as well (my interpretation tho). I can see why he said it, but it doesn't apply to all products. His opinion seems to be from a more safe standpoint. Buying things without changing them, using them as they are, but that's just my guess. idk
it makes no sense, there's no significant difference between razer's ptfe skates and logitech's skates, and sensors are designed to handle varying distance from the surface. what a weird take
@@pcap8810 I've seen some skates that have different thicknesses to them. Maybe that could be a factor to what he was saying? They can also wear down faster, have different textures, etc. Idk what Shroud's experience is with mouse skates but mine have been decent so far. Maybe he doesn't use different mouse states because he either found them useless or had a bad experience using them?

Got the artisan hein soft from a boardzy recommendation and loving it. I have the viper v2 pro and am thinking about trying glass skates but don’t know how it’ll feel on that mousepad. I also have a razer basilisk ultimate that feels really good on the pad, it’s about twice as heavy as the viper.

Kysona M600 + Razer Strider User and this combo feels better than my Razer Viper Mini on same pad! The aim feels much more responsive I love the budget mice these days!

I changed my skates on my GPro Superlight and the sensor now stutters in game. I actually think he is correct. Sensors are tuned to be a certain distance from the mousepad, and when you change the skates, which will be a different thickness to stock, the sensor doesn’t perform optimally
This video of Shroud is a perfect example of rich people being out of touch with reality.
There are some mouse skates that aren't very well leveled, but I think the main brands are within normal tolerances. I remember the german dude TheWhale hyping up the BT.L skates for their consistency, but I can't say I've ever had issues with any brand, other than maybe Tiger Arc 2.
I find the Lamzu Atlantis 4K to be more ergonomic for claw than the G303 Shroud Edition. Also, both my GPX and DAV3 have needed disassembly and a solder job for changing the switches and encoder respectively. Curiously, both mice failed just a few months after their warranty expired.
He's right though. 1mm can influence the sensor but is not something you can understand until you play with the landing distance, the LOD of a mouse and trying to mod the skates yourself When i tried to build my own prototype of skates, especially is when I started facing a lot of issues and learnt that a single mm can change *everything* (Like the sensor not picking anything up, or not not catching all your movements) something as thin as a writing paper in thickness can surprisingly influence the tracking negatively, or positively The balance needs to be perfect between the skates thickness, the sensor calibrations and depending on what material is used for your mouse pad, yes it can create inconsistencies For example new unit of soft pads while uniform at first have hairs of cloth forming on the surface over time, the humidity and friction participate to deform the fibers while the dust, sebum and other soaked particles will influence the friction coefficient between the skates and the pad. Adding all of this up, you wake up one day and you feel bad. Am i getting old? Maybe I have not drank enough water... or it could be that third cup of coffee you omit to drink earlier. While all of this could be true, more likely is because you have never adjusted the LD or LOD, or even the DPI overtime (very tedious) to compensate for either the rugged mouse feets, rugged mouse pad, or X other many issues that can affect the consistancy of the tracking, like a tiny coton fiber, almost invisible to the eye, in the way of the IR emitter.

Razer Viper V2 pro + Tiger ICE v2 dot skates + Hayate Otsu SOFT XL (Wine Red), my aim, re-adjusting to shots with lower initial friction, mirco flicks, tracking got decently shocking gooood for FPS games. The fact is that shroud stick to one mouse and sens making his muscle memory strong with that particular fixed stuffs so he bothers to change skates etc to ruin his aim / sens etc.
Might be some dpi deviation depending on skate thickness but nothing anyone will notice especially with today's sensors. Also has he heard of calibrating the sensor to a surface? That's a thing, too (granted you need the software running)

It's all about knowing what YOU like, then finding the optimal options for your preferences. Then sticking with it til the next big upgrade comes out

curious though ... why hasnt logitech come out with a premium pad? theres obviously a market for it. the g pro is the only mouse ive been able to use (i dont love the shape, but every shape i try doesnt work for my grip) so the neutral feel of it works for me. Id love to just have a straight up full logitech setup but they dont have high end mousepads and wooting is like the only competitively superior keyboard rn atleast that im aware of.

I personally use a Logitech hard mousepad with my Razer mice. I like the feel of it better and it seems to hold up a little better than the Razer hard pad I had. I haven't noticed any issues.
I have 2 gpx mice. One has Tiger Ice skates, the other has corepadz ctrl. I can instantly tell the difference with a blind test and I switch depending on which map (quake) is being played. Tiger ice for the maps that favor tracking weapons and corepadz for the precision/point-n-click weapons. Has he never used a artizan mousepad because he doesnt have an artizan mouse to pair it with? 😁
everyone raves about the artisan pads but are they genuinely game changing? glorious 3XL does everything for me but I barely play anymore
@@Stallzyx My Hien has pretty much been a game changer for me ngl. I also have Zero, I like both but use the Hien more for the kinda games I play, really fast paced. What I love about it is that it's lasted years and as long as I take care of it, the glide has been pretty consistent and doesn't get muddy for me.

@@Stallzyx A massive game changer for me. Same scenario with the skates, I can switch pads and instantly see a difference in accuracy compared to my logitech/razer pads. There are some clones out there that get are probably very close in quality but i have not tried any.

Careful then u say decade. Yes steel was pretty much todays razer back in the game best quality there was. They just fucked up transition to lightweight and wireless mouse as they dont have good wireless nor lightweight mouse. But Rivals and Senseis was THE BEST and it was in the times u could say this sensor is better. U basicly had 2 types of people Zowie or SS logitech was making eggs and g502 150g 10 side buttons mice, razer was doing RGB, crazy looking shapes u couldnt hold in hand and 100 buttons, and there wasnt single small bran like we have ninjutso, gwolves, finalmouse etc, there was steel with crazy truemoves and amazing shapes and they was first big comapny that didnt used omrons or zowie with slightly worse sensors but also crazy good shapes and i think they used huanos. Then u look at rival 310 or sensei or other mice damn those was todays ULX, GPX, DAV3 etc. So please respect SS as a legend because it is. Sadly they dont give a fuck now.
@@erisium6988 Rival 310 is just a weight and size downscale of rival 300 which is infinitely more iconic. The 300 came out in 2015. The OG sensei is even older, 2011 or something like that. That's what I mean when I say that Steelseries hasn't been relevant in like a decade.

Changed the skates on gpx2. Now sensor is fucked(just on the new pad, worked fine before changing skates). I guess shroud remark is true for logitech ones, or for some units

I am using gpx 2 i was tested dpi deviation with default skates 400 dpi to (395-400) but i was change the skates the tiger ice dpi deviation (380-390) little bit true but i can change sensitive and feel more comfortable tiger ice i am using gpx 2 with tiger ice ang gsr 2 perfect for me i am cs2 player 10 lvl on faceit :D
