ABSOLUTELY REMARKABLE CROSSWIND LANDING EMBRAER ERJ-145 PROPER CRABBING • RAF CONINGSBY
This Embraer ERJ-145 encounters major crosswinds and the approach is absolutely insane with fantastic crabbing skills.
Why do pilots do this manoeuvre? When a pilot lands their aircraft, the idea is point the noise on a correct track but if the winds are bashing you from the side (Crosswind) the pilot needs to face the nose of the aircraft towards the direction of the crosswind and then a Side slip or a crab manoeuvre are what a pilot can do to land their aircraft in crosswinds.
It is one of the most impressive landings to watch and although the pilot usually has no issues, for a viewer, it looks most spectacular.

Well Nikos does come out with some hilarious quotes, what’s been your best quote from Nikos?
The only time the passengers can look out of their window and see down the runway! What a skilful pilot stunning🫡
lol
That was an incredible landing. Well done the pilot.
The day when ' Those 2 Typhoon have seen it all now' quote, followed by the famous 'Gold Powdered Super Scottish Salmon' quote. Ah your funny man. 😁. That will be the crabbing Embraer landing with high crosswinds with the super skilful landing. It was a magic moment for many reasons. These streams bring us the best moments. Thank goodness Ted and Nikos are there when we can't be. Epic! We'll done that BAE pilot..
Oohh yeah
Pilot is a stud!
Can’t beat a properly executed cross wind landing. Very satisfying when you get it right. It’s them pesky gusts that complicate things ! Great vid.
Thanks so much Ted and Co that was super super special and you captured it for us, brilliant.
that has to be some of the most skillful flying I have ever seen wow the cross wind must have been awful. Well done to the pilots and well done to Nikos and Ted for filming this amazing footage
Totally amazing Skills that
Oh wow! That is some skill from the pilot! 👏🏻 If I had been a passenger, I don't know if I would have been watching through the window, or sitting with my eyes shut, gritting my teeth! What a landing!
Ooohhh yeah
Incredible skill by the pilot.
Skills
EXCELLENT -- excellent job by that pilot !
*Great Catch 🛬😮*

Oopsadaisy! Wind beneath my wings indeed!! Well done BAE Systems ❤️ experts of aviation in many ways.
Oii oiii Margo. Crosswinds can be challenging but this pilot aced it .
WOW😮
Skills
Incredible skills!👏👏👏
Oohh yeah skills
That is the mark of a skilled pilot in a twin jet of a fair size. Ive been at prestwick airport in scotland and birmingham international airport and seen 747 and airbus aircraft fly similar approached landings in strong gale force cross winds oy oy savaloy
Proper good skills
That was impressive!
Sure was
Must be seen to be believed! 😊 UK.
The more I listen to streams, the more I realise that this Channel, the TCS is powered by Salmon 😂❤
😂😂😂
Impressive. The passengers either really enjoyed it, or didn't!
I’m sure they loved it
Don't point that plane at me lol wow seriously impressive skills 😮
Proper skills that
This is why extra underwear is always part of your luggage even it's just a commute flight! Well done sir BAE pilot!
Was the pilot behind passengers lol
I bet the BAE pilot was ex RAF.
Any more sideways and the pilot wouldn't be able to see the runway, not that I think that would stop them with that level of skill.
Ooohhh yeah
Goodness gracious meeeee!?❤
would you adam and eve it?
