  • I hope all y'all understand that wrestling is at its best to have more than one option in wrestling just like in any sport and any industry. Its good for the marketplace, fans, wrestlers, etc. When theres one dominant company, its bad for the market. I support AEW to succeed, but they still have work to do.

    @JakeAllonar@JakeAllonar Жыл бұрын
    • I've stopped watching because it's a bad look when you allow a guy who was involved in a backstage altercation with another wrestler to proceed with doing the main event, but then you send the other guy home. Andrade was defending himself and Guevara instigated the whole thing.

    • Agreed. It brings us more wrestling and I'm for that. I just find that Tony is not a man who should be running AEW, he's a fanboy, who borrowed daddy's money to start a company. He's not a leader like Moxley, Danielson, Hunter, etc

  • Damn, Ariel is spot on with this. People talk about how Tony is and how Ariel should know better. The real question is, how has Tony not heard about Ariel and his work as well? He has been one of the top guys for combat sport (and recently wrestling) journalism out there, because he asks those questions. There is a way to get around those questions, and still be engaging. As he said in this clip, Dana White and a lot of other people have done it, because they realize that is what's best to market themselves and keep stuff behind the scenes. I don't think TK is trying to do this, but he is alienating everyone from watching his product by doing this nonstop.

When HHH did his interview Ariel asked him about Wyatt and Strowman. Braun had almost certainly signed with WWE and Bray if not signed was in contract talks. He didn’t say he’d signed them because he couldnt, but he answered the question as best he could without compromising that and got praised for being so open. It was as good business for him/WWE as it was for Ariel. Tony needs to learn how to do that.

I'll admit it's odd to come on to an interview where you expect to answer questions but interviews aren't just about answering questions, as Khan proceeded to do. • He knows what kind of interviewer Ariel is. He knew these questions were gonna be asked and did the same thing Ariel, you, me, and everyone in this community would do. Say I am not at liberty to go into detail about it. You can ask but I cannot answer. When your in a legal bind like what Tony Khan is in you will keep your mouth SHUT. Anything any LITTLE SMALL thing you say will be held against you. He did a great job in that interview. Too bad Ariel didn’t get what he wanted but when your in a situation (a situation Tony never should’ve allowed to happen) of this magnitude you have no other choice but to dance around it or say no I can’t talk about it and take ADVANTAGE of the OPPORTUNITY to promote your organization. This was a perfect opportunity for Tony Khan to promote AEW and honestly Ariel did him a unbeknown favor because guess what, those who haven’t watched the interview yet or weren’t interested heard what Ariel said here and are now saying “damn I gotta check this out now what did Tony say” now EVERYONE is gonna see what Tony said and while there maybe some who disagree with Ariel there will be some, probably a lot when they sit back and think about it, that agree with Tony Khan.

    • @@SelfMade_84 Yeah, everyone is checking out the interview now and laughing at Tony like the laughingstock that he is. He’s not a promoter. He’s just a guy that really likes wrestling and has a rich daddy. Tony did no favors for himself by doing the interview except make himself look dumb.

    • @@megaslice23 I never said it would you misunderstood what I said. I said people would agree that he can’t give Ariel the answers that he wants because of the legal situation he’s in. A situation that once again he never should’ve let happen. We know Tony isn’t perfect and should’ve acted like a boss and not a geek but If anything we’re seeing this interview not go in Ariel’s direction which in turn makes him out to be a crybaby. The real question is would he have this same energy towards Vince or Triple H? Of course not. He’s a paid WWE shill. Why would he. Would he have that same energy towards MJF? No in fact MJF immediately told Ariel he can’t answer a question that Ariel asked him and Ariel didn’t make a fuss about it. He clearly has a problem with Tony which shouldn’t be the case because of how gracious Tony has been letting him interview MJF and him so next time you hear Ariel cry about why he’s no longer doing AEW interviews refer back to this video
