Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson 8/6/2012
Guests: Stephen King, Dave Barry, The Rock Bottom Remainde

Пікірлер
  • Stephen King horror is great but never forget this man also wrote the novela for what became "The Shawshank Redemption" and my favorite work of his, the serial novel: "The Green Mile". Those two stories alone earn him the right to stand in the pantheon of American writers.

    • Actually it isn't just humor. I've heard him talking about this never finished story in different events. So, it is a recurring joke from him, or it is an old idea what he'd never figured out.

    • His books most often have parts that are laugh out loud humor. He just prefers stories that are scary - he can make any character - all with personalities as complex and varied as the people you pass in any given crowd in real life - believably - make you feel their emotion Funny or not As someone who can make the sane seem crazy or even more disturbing - a psychopath understandable. Humorous characters just don’t evoke terror as his stories call for. Humorous situations though are always present. And besides - in real life he’s close friends w Dave Barry. Serious would not have room in that friendship.

  • I know this will sound weird to some people and to some they will sadly know where I'm coming from. Stephen King saved my sanity as a teenager. When i read his books i could leave my horrible home life for a few chapters at a time. When people talk about his drug/alcohol abuse. He's human. Shit happens. Mr. King is the one who told us He had a problem. He's overcome His addictions and is a better man for it. Be like STEPHEN KING!

  • A thing I like about Dave Barry is : in one of his older books where he says what he would do if he were President - that for his inaugural party he'd get George Thorogood & the Delaware Destroyers as the band, and what's more, he'd have them play =every night = for him too.. . .'just because I can, I'm the President !' haha Also he ratted out his buddy Stephen King, said 'Mr Scary-Story Blood & Guts screams like a little girl if he sees a spider'. ahaha
