Approaching The Scene 283: Favorite 2023 Images + Stories & Lessons Learned
(LINKS BELOW): It’s been one helluva year photographically for Rick and I. From Cuba to Scotland, we’ve spent time in a lot of epic places with wonderful people and fun new tools. In this video we’ll run through some of our favorite images we’ve captured this year, tell a few stories and share some lessons we’ve learned along the way.

Some beautiful images guys, well done !! Looking forward to what the New Year will bring. And the Peregrine Falcon, it's an American Kestrel...... Cheers,
Have a wonderful 2024! Thanks for all your videos and work in 2023! ❤
Cuba was so much fun. The people were so friendly and the cars were stunning! I had such a wonderful time.
Not pictured at 17:00, Charlie getting sprayed by bear spray. 🤣
Thanks for sharing. Really enjoy watching you wander through the year/.
Old Man of Storr in Skye is one of my favourite locations. I've wild camped right under those boulders before they put that falling rocks warning sign! I've hiked up there many times and the photos from there always look magical. I want to go again to Skye with my Z8 (back then I used D5300).
Hudson and Rick, thank you for sharing 2023 with us. Cannot wait to head to Costa Rica with you in 2024 and I am currently dreaming of Cuba in 2025. Happy Holidays!!
Thanks for sharing, and wishing you both an amazing 2024!
Inventive! keep it coming.
Great Job guys....!! I hope you all have a great new year...!!

Great video. Is the Nikon D500 better than the Z7ii for wildlife? I’m have the 200-500 lens. Thanks
It's a tough question. The Z7ii will take time to adjust to and learn, but if your wildlife is large and frame filling in that 200-500, then yes. It's better. Auta area AF will pick it up as a subject and track it in ways the D500 can't. For smaller, more distant subjects, the D500's Dynamic area will nail them easier, but you have far less room to crop. I think the Z7ii is the better option. The Z8 will just blow the both of htem out of the water without question though.
@@HudsonHenryPhoto Thank you very much
great images guys. my favorite might be Rick's Rick_ Glacier...3884.jpg Did you visit the Talisker Distillery on Skye?
We will with the workshop. We were too tight with time on the scouting run.
