Very nice piece of work. Unfortunately the pattern distorts near the upper sections. You can see it happening early on in the turning. I believe you could have corrected the situation by shifting the headstock center when it first became noticeable. Segmented turnings like this always require additional to detail. As in this turning the slight mismatch sometimes doesn't show up early on. You will hit the next one I believe. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂

I have 3 questions How much time did it take to figure out this piece How much time did it take to put it together How much time did it take to turn & finish It’s a very nice piece when you got finished
More time for assembling the parts and gluing, it takes 2-3 days, whereas for turning it only takes 1 day

Interesting idea but the devil is in the details. Segments in the staves misaligned and the piece turned off centre making the scallops uneven. Very jarring to the eye.
I'm curious as to why the design didn't turn out more symmetrical, I thought I seen a wobble.
