I find myself weirdly torn over who's side to take on this one. On one hand, I find it a bit rude that they're being ignored, but then on the other hand I also approve of the fact that in some cases the people are ignoring them because they're being annoying or are just droning on and on. (And I'm easily guilty of doing the ignoring part myself when someone's annoying me or just droning on and on unnecessarily. And I can often tell also when they're only doing it for the sole purpose of breaking the silence)
