The dog said :👁️👄👁️
Looks like a cloud with legs and a big smile
Looks like a smile with a dog stuck to it.
I did wonder if this was a Papillon - but then Vanessa explained it differently. What a cute doggo 😊 I love most spitz-type dogs
There is a cute youtube channel called Boomer the Land Cloud. Samoyed is soooo cute.
He is
barking and panting cloud 😊 so cute
"Boredom can lead to excessive barking and destructive chewing"... That's a normal weekend for me to be fair.
I just lost my mini eskie best friend this year. He was almost 15. The best dog I've ever known in my life, so smart and especially empathetic. They are SO emotionally intelligent. He helped me raise and foster many kittens over the years.
So sorry for your loss 🌹 I had an eskie mix too and you're very right about the empathy and emotional intelligence part. Miss my dog so much. She was also fond of baby animals - kittens, ducks, etc. When I adopted her, she was in the puppy cage taking care of the babies. They take a piece of your heart with them for sure.
Almost every one my family has had has made it to 15. makes it harder to say bye, but you enjoy them much longer.
The neat thing about raising kittens with a good dog is they learn to live alongside them. So wonderful the kitties got a chance to do that.
I am sorry for your loss.
I’m sorry for your loss. I lost my beautiful cat last year as well. What helped heal me a little was feeding stray and shelter cats and searching for the reflection of my baby boy in those kitties.
The smile on Miko’s face while getting dried with his happy hoodie ❤❤
Isn't he a joy! He's happy as happy gets! Love him!
Yes, except panting is a sign of stress which she of course picked up on and was sensitive to. What a tolerant little doggo.
😄☺️😍
He is such a doll!!! What a lucky family! ❤
@@horsewhisperer20394 Yeah people don't realize this dog was pretty stressed throughout the whole video.
"Smiling little cloud" was exactly how I would've described him
Yes.He is a "smiling little cloud"
We had one. Cricket was his name. Everything you say is true. Best little bud. Nothing but kudos for this breed. He developed dementia at 16 and crossed the rainbow bridge. Still miss him and think of him with love❤
RIP Cricket, you will meet again 🌈🐾🙏
How are they with other dogs?
oh wow, my mom also had one named Cricket, she was a great little dog!
Cricket lived with a collie and standard poodle. They all got along. Small children and puppies not so much
@@carolynbrown8209 We had a Border Collie as well at the time, they got along well, Cricket also wasn't a fan of children.
If all that panting was from stress, then I must say Meeko was an extremely well-behaved cloud. His humans have evidently taught him well.
I have an American Eskimo named Watson, and I can confirm that he is always smiling.
i'm dog sitting one too, his name is Zeus, i can also confirm 😄
Too cute 🥰
You could say his smile is... like a million watts? 😂 I guess being happy is... elementary, dear Watson. 😂😂 I'm sorry, I'll stop.
A friend of mine has a standard Eskie! They're very clever dogs. My friend taught her to shake hands by rewarding with treats, so now the dog sits down and politely lifts up her paw every time she wants a treat. 😂
That's cute as heck!
"These dogs are so intelligent," I think Jacksfilms may disagree 😂 we love you, Sundae 🧡
I knew somebody would mention jacksfilms
They're just distracted by the light reflecting off John's forehead! Bahaha
Klondike too haha ^^
Sundae seems to the exception, not the rule
I actually thought this was a Jacksfilms video XD
What a well-behaved cloud!
I live to hear you call their paws "grinch feet"
Ginge*
I couldn't stop crying watching this video. My little eski Maya just passed a few months ago. She was my world. Watching your videos gave me the confidence to start grooming her myself, which I did for the last several years. The metal comb and high velocity dryer were a huge game changer. The shedding is really not as bad as you would think for such a fluffy dog, regular grooming really was a big help. It is so nice to finally see a little land cloud in your videos, and I wish Miko a long and happy life.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure she's happily playing in the Rainbow Fields, and she'll be waiting for you when it's your time to join her...🥹🫂💜
I lost my little Eskie Opal 9 years ago and it's still hard to see one. These little dogs take up a huge space in our hearts!
I'm so sorry friend..... But I do know what you mean... I lost my little dude Cody in Oct of 21....i still cry.... He wasn't an eski.... But what a pretty baby I bet you had.... I wish you peace and comfort... And again I'm sorry.... I'm sending you a hug 🤗 🤗 🤗
I'm so sorry. The pain in losing a fur baby is real.
That's all I knew growing up. My parents have had 5 little jewels of Eskies. Such a gorgeous and intelligent breed. And it's true, not all have crazy shedding coats. And they are fairly manageable...
Looks like a shrunken Samoyed. Very cute.
I had both male and female of this breed. Niko was my faithful companion for 17 years and my Nina for 15 years. Lovable furry family members. ❤
American Eskies really are one of the sweetest dogs. Probably one of the most memorable ones, too!
My brother and his family have one of these. He drove me nuts at first bc, when you walk in the house, the dog would NOT. STOP. BARKING. They have a toy fox terrier as well, and they would just feed off each other. If one barks, the other barks louder. Ugh. Now that the terrier is quite old, and he no longer hears well, he doesn't bark as much. Because of this, Rocky is much quieter. I've really come to like that little dog. He's SO SOFT, and he looks like he has a permi-smile on his face.
They bark ALL THE TIME!!! The bark is the shrillist bark in the world. I say this because I have an American Eskimo Dog cute but ears wil hurt if a stranger comes over or if you go upstairs and then back down.
my aunt had 2 of these, with in a month she had both of them trained to be more obedient and educated than her own kids including the rest of my cousins and myself.
Lol 😅😂😂😂😅 that was funny! Thanks for the laugh!
I don't know why, but it never fails to make me RIDICULOUSLY happy hearing her say "Grinch Feet" Lol Beautiful job on this pup~
That’s always my favorite part to watch, so satisfying!! Looks so good after just a few snips ✂️
I know right? There were some videos in which she didn't say "Grinch Feet" and I was desperately waiting for her to say it again. It just makes me happy idk why
Our first dog as a young married couple was a Spitz named Shang. Smartest. Dog. Ever. She lived to the age of 18. I still dream about her and sometimes call our other dogs by her name. I'll always love my little Shang.
Today, Vanessa groomed a ball of cloud ☁
Meeko's smile at the end, while his head is cocked, looks like he's accustomed to posing for the camera. 🥰😄
God I wish they'd change the name of those dogs, cuz they're so cute but they're also named a slur.
Fluffy Snowball 🥰
Love how he put his paw up at 2:10 like "MADAM PLEASE, I MAY BE BLOWN TO THE WIND IF YOU CONTINUE THIS VENTURE!"
I have a miniature eskie and I'm obsessed with her. She is so funny and has such a big personality. She's also so very affectionate. I get 10 mins of kisses every night before bed.
I thought Miko was a Japanese Spitz, but so exciting to see one of the tiny spitzes getting a bath today!
Same! Ours was just like this with the perma-smile!
I thought that as well!
Japanese Spitz and mini are the same thing,
@@BillWeyeARt No they're not. They're two distinct breeds that look very similar. Not the same.
@@mimixmin Do seem to share a lot of the same characteristics though. Easy to maintain fur, good with kids, loyal, mind of their own, stressed out when being groomed :P I have a JS. Wonderful dog, but my gosh, daily brushing has not meant he's all that ok with the process. I don't need to brush daily in theory, but I do it just so I can keep each session as short as possible. I just focus different areas each time. A full complete brush would not be tolerated >
The Eski smile 😂 my sister has a full size one and had a mini one. He was a very grumpy man. Very smart though lol.
The internet-famous Gabe the Dog was part American Eskimo, if I recall correctly! These dogs seem like such fun little guys ❤️
i still miss gabe every day
Gabe 🥹🥺😭💔
I was JUST thinking it looked like a smiling cloud, when you said the same! 😂 ☁️
I rescued one once, a stray, a wanderer-who unfortunately wandered off again 😢
“Smiling little clouds.” Love them!❤
His tongue has a mind of its own
I would have thought this was a Pomeranian mix of some sort. Had no idea there are miniature versions of the American Eskimo.
"And, of course, I tidy up his grinch feet." She said it!!! She said the thing!!!!!! Miko is absolutely too cute for words. Yet another spitz breed to fall in love with.
My grandma had a rescued American eskimo to keep her company after my grandpa died. Thank goodness for her having dozens of grandkids around to keep him occupied cause the one day none of us visited he ate the couch. I kind of think she put him up to it cause she hated that couch but can't prove it
😂😂😂 clever grandma 👵🏻!
😂
Growing up on a farm in Ohio we called them Spitz they were farm dogs Whatever you needed they were right there with you. And no matter how old they got the first snow cover they were playing in it like puppys Great dogs
Man - I'd love to see a group of Eskies playing in the snow!
Thank you for the "Eskimo" explanation. As a fellow Canadian who lives in Edmonton, i think this is an important fact, and I am pleased that you included it. I don't even have a pet but have been a silent subscriber since you were at 100k because I absolutely love your content. It's an added bonus that you're hilarious, informative, and provide your services free of charge! Bless the hard work that you and the cameraperson do.
I wish they'd change the name back to the German one, out of respect.
Dogs that smile make me smile as well. It’s contagious. 😀
A dog panting makes you smile? What is it about a dog being overheated or stressed makes you feel joy? Panting isn’t smiling and it’s weird to slap that energy on it
@@xobelladonna2443You can tell that the dog is in a good mood, unlike yourself. 😂
@@seth5308 I’m in a great mood actually and a distressed dog isn’t in a good mood though.
@@xobelladonna2443As usual most people think that dogs smiles when he is actually stressed. But what can you expect when in America mostly they are still defending ears cropping and horrible dog training techniques based on being the aLPhA and show dominance instead of being a friend and supporter to your dog
@@xobelladonna2443Is it the belladonna that causes you to be such a buzz kill? Our German Shepherd smiles when she is awake, and she is not stressed at all.
Growing up, my neighbor had one of those dogs standard size and she collected all of the hair that the dog shed and actually made a blanket out of it. She crocheted it after she made yarn out of it. They’re adorable little dogs.
Never get tired of seeing puppies in the happy hoodie ❤
My next door neighbours have an Eskimo dog - extremely sweet and gentle dog. Always runs over to say hi when I'm working in the front yard. Rarely barks - only a couple of times when he askes to be let back in the house after doing his "business" - LOL!
My Mom & Dad had a 'Spitz"... at least that is what we called him. His name was Alex and he was a standard size. EXCELLENT DOG! Such a good beautiful boy -
I had a dog exactly like this as a kid, I named him Snowy :)
I had one also, we named him Snowball
Such a well behaved gentleman.
He looks like a snow fox 🥰
I had an American Eskimo mix when I was in high school. Her mom was some kind of doodle mutt and her dad looked just like Miko. I named her Nikita and she was my dad’s best friend - totally unexpected as he did NOT want the dog 😂😂 she won his heart pretty quickly just by being so smart and sweet, and he won her love with hamburgers and 4-wheeler rides. We had 15 years with her.
That's a floofing floofity flooter ❤😂
My Dad used to call small dogs like this Spitzes, he was born in 1922, I never knew why. Thanks for the great information as always! :))))
After this video I'd really love to see you groom a Schipperke. This breed looks like it's a cousin to the Schips, about the same size and many of the same characteristics, but WAY more energy and boy do they ever shed!
I have a Schipperke, a 13 year old female, and she pretty much takes care of herself. Blows her coat twice a year but only seems to need a bath a couple times a year. Great breed.
Great suggestion and a great dog 😊
@@deborahglauser1487If you've got a Schip then you've got a GREAT companion!!! As I'm sure you already know, but I raised one from a puppy when I was a boy...terrific dog and boy did he ever get jealous when we fostered a GSD puppy; the GSD was sitting in my lap one day and my Schip sat right next to us, I swear he was glaring at me the whole time. Mine shed all year round, and I'll never forget how EVERY time we gave him a bath he'd get zoomies around the house. They're GREAT dogs!!! (Or did I say that already?)
@@denisia1111I raised a Schip from a puppy when I was a boy, and when he was really little he actually slept on my pillow next to me. He was such a great companion and I still miss him to this day!
My initial thought when I saw him, "is he a Japanese Spitz?" He looks like a cotton candy with all those fluff. I love how his coat sways and bounce as he trots ❤❤
We had one and he was quite a character! Only one of his ears managed to pop up. The other stayed down, and he was the most comical looking boy, who of course was full of mischief, ever. He did have that infamous stubborn streak, but I've never known a smarter and sweeter dog in my life. ❤❤❤
Such a sweet little guy❤❤❤
I had one of these minis around when I was little. I definitely remember the shedding and the fact that he missed one of our family members very loudly whenever that person left the house. 😅
Absolutely stunning dog! I never heard of this breed. What a happy dog! Love your channel!
Honestly, if you wanted a Samoyed, this is a more manageable(I mostly mean amount of food and fur shedding) breed. Just amazing dogs...
@@derbagger22OR you could try the Japanese Spitz , just as brilliant, probably came from the same gene pool, Read my wee above tweet, bread them for around 20 years, loved hem. Winifred Thompson. Northern Ireland.

Doing the "grinch feet" is almost like a pawdicure for them. LOL ;) Love it!
GIRL WITH THE DOGS...... YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST.......... ❤❤❤❤❤❤
My mother had an American Eskimo named Zoe about 20lbs. Great little dog. She loved and took better care of her dogs than any other person I knew.
Majestic little fluffball! I think it's been mentioned before but what do you do behind the camera to make their head tilt like that almost everytime? It's so adorable!
They just do this, mine does this all day, every day lol. They're the cutest pups.
@funkyduck4743, they say things like "Wanna go for a walk? Wanna go outside? Wanna go for a car ride?" Things to get the dog's attention and make them excited.
Ive never been this early before! I love his tounge physics 😂
I’ve always called them a Spitz (and still will). Nice, we’ll-behaved dog.
Just want to add that they have an amazing dirt-shedding coat! They can get really dirty, but when it dries it pretty much all falls off and they look fine. Never look grubby, although without a bath every now and again they can start to look just a bit dingy. My Sophie was a three-legged rescue with endless energy. I got her when she was six years old and she died at fifteen of a brain tumour. In between she was queen of the pack regulars with her dog walker, and definitely in charge of my heart. 💕🇨🇦
Meeko looks so much like my mini that I lost in 2021, who was ironically named Nico. I cried a little watching this, but I'm happy to see the breed on this channel. He looks like such a happy little guy ♥
Also a perfect fluffy cloud
I have 2 mini Am Eskimo mixes that I found as approximately 2 wk old puppies. The mom (a pure bred) belonged to one of my mom's tenant. Basically, the tenant had left for a month and mom was supposed to be under the care of a relative when me and my mom found her roaming around outside. No one in that family knew she was even pregnant, let alone had pups somewhere. Since she was an absolute mess, I cleaned her up before I even knew she might have pups and she later led me to a small hole under the house. There I found 2 little fat sausages (didn't look like there were anymore) that I'm so thankful were still alive since I had the mom for almost 24 hrs at that point. While they were very well fed, they were being eaten alive by fleas and had these weird sores on their feet and tails (one was so bad, the vet thought her tail would eventually fall off...luckily it did not). I offered the owner that I'd nurse them back to health and take care of mom until they came back. They didn't want the puppies and I originally was going to rehome them, but I ended up bonding with them like I never had with previous dogs. So I kept them, but had to reluctantly give mom back to the owner. It was a sad situation...she deserved so much more, but nothing I could do for her so I did the best I could for her pups. Anyway....15 yrs later, they are still with me. Charlie (the boy) has a bunch of health issues now, but Mya (the girl) is actually still pretty healthy overall and doesn't even look her age. Physically, they look exactly like their mom did expect their ears are longer and flop downward (kinda like a Border Collie). And even though their mom was all white, they don't have a speck of white on them. Charlie has the black and tan color pattern of a GSD an Mya is all tan with lighter beige on her underside. So who knows what stray ended up being the dad, lol. They are gorgeous dogs regardless and always get compliments on them. Charlie always reminded me of a little wolf (and he used to howl all the time before he lost his hearing😢). Mya was always my nimble little fox cause of how athletic, yet graceful she looks and acts. I worry that when one goes, the other will follow shortly after, they are so unbelievably bonded to each other. My heart will be shattered when they go. They are unique little dogs, for sure...and like I said, our bond is very strong. I'm just grateful for every day I still have them with me. One thing I will say, is that they have a huge prey drive. They're mother never wanted to play with toys, she was just interested in anything that moved outside and she never forgot where she last saw something (their memory is crazy good). Very intelligent dogs...sometimes to the point of spiteful behaviors. 😂😂 Charlie is a lot like his mother, and it's not even learned behavior as he never got to see his mother do all the things she did, it's just genetics. Mya has a strong prey drive too, but she at least loves toys so I can distract her a bit with that. But cats, and especially small animals (rodents, birds, etc) are not a good idea with these guys. Otherwise they're awesome little dogs that I will treasure for the rest of my days. Sorry for the long post...it's just the first time I've seen this breed on your channel and, like a proud parent, I had to bring mine into it too. 😋🤣
Sweet story! My dog was also a mixed American Eskie. Glad you took them in because they are such a joy. Unfortunately, it will shatter your heart when they pass - mine absolutely did. Enjoy your fur babies everyday ❤
@@Here4TheHeckOfItThank you for the kind words and I'm so sorry for your loss. I definitely won't be the same when it's time for them to go. I almost lost Charlie earlier this year, but he seems to be doing a bit better for now. Just that preview really sucked for me. I treasure every day that they're still with me. I never knew about this breed until I had them and they really are a tremendous joy to have.
Fluffy ☁️ puppy!
these are one of the best dog breeds i’ve ever known, always so happy and loving.
He is like a Big Pomeranian!!! So Beautiful!
Aww i love Eskies! I have a standard size AE named Cloud. I can confirm that he always looks like he's smiling. 🐶
He is adorable!
Meeko looks like a cloud with a tongue! So adorable!!
I love this breed so much. As a kid, we were big on the "adopt, dont shop" because my parents adopted me, so when we found our first little spitz, Sasha the Diva, we loved her and when Sasha passed, we got Miles (after the legendary Mikes Davis because of his easy-going personality). They can be stubborn, but you'll be hard-pressed to find a better companion and friend. Great breed for also running around with good, energetic kids (they tire each other out).
I didn't know there were 3 sizes; I just knew about the standard. He's a beautiful fluffy cloud now 😊 Awesome job, as always.
The mini's aren't that much smaller than the standards, they just looks shorter. But the toy's are a lot smaller and look a lot like white Pomeranians!
Waiting for the episode where Vanessa does a Japanese Spitz, but this is super close! It's true about the coat though, and it rarely smells. I brush my dog once a week thoroughly and regular coat maintenance is mostly paw trimming and nail clipping. She gets bathed a few times a year with a groomer and can be maintained otherwise with brushing. Fabulous lovely little creatures!
The inlaws had these dogs, but always put them in the back room when company was over. I remember a time when one "got out" and I spent a long time playing with her. Very sweet, smart little dogs.
I had 2 at same time, Sophie and Taz were the best dogs I have ever had...lived to be 14. Taz was killed by an off leash large dog in our area on the trail. He was 12 and loved going for hikes....he was such a good boy and a lover. Miss them, thanks for sharing
What a gorgeous pup. I loved when he closed his eyes while in the happy hoodie getting dried!
He reminds me a lot to my late Chiquititta. The fur, the eyes, and yes, the smiling. It is as if I saw my Chiquititta in front of me ❤❤❤
My first dog as a child was an American Eskimo named Nicky. He was such a lovable dog. I miss him still. I'd love to own another one one day. 🥺 Miko is adorable!
So similar to my Schipperke. He did agility, obedience, rally, forensics, therapy and probably other things I've forgotten. Stubborn, OMG, and conniving. Aside of coat color, they are two sides of the same coin.
What a tongue!
What a cute fluff ball! Beautiful silky coat and good nature!
He reminds me a lot of my cute Sophie who lived to the age of 16 years, she passed away in 2021. Sophie was always happy, loved to play, loved walks, and loved to snuggle. People are always impressed on how well behaved she is and impressed with how clean her fur is. I miss her all the time.
Sounds like anxiety for the excessive barking and chewing when left at home alone. 🤷👍 Gorgeous and closely resembling my Pomeranian. 🐾🐾🥰❣️
Gorgeous Miko❤
I really like how you give the pros and cons of every breed you show ❤
What a beautiful white coat he has.
To say he was stressed, he was still very good. 😊
Mine Eskie does the same at the groomer. I have come to believe it's more overheating than stress. She drinks and drinks and drinks after she gets groomed.
And my heart just melted... What a fluffy cloud of joy 😍
Meeko is so cute and did good with his grooming. I did not know this breed came in three sizes.
What a sweet little dog.😊 He looks very handsome❤
this dog have the most cutest eyes I ever had seen on a dog 👀🐕
Well, to avoid using a slur, I think I shall refer to this doggo as a mini American spitz instead. A lovely, cute dog! :] Thank you Miko
Definitely! I'd say it's about time to change the name once again.
There is no thought in those eyes and I love it
My friend has one of these dogs and is unfortunately not a great owner for him. The dog is a loud, aggressive, mean little gonad. The dog was a rescue, and he needed attention my friend simply will not give due to attachment/laziness. Every problem he hand waves and says "Its the breed". Thank you for showing visual proof these dogs can be well behaved, i wish My friend would wise up.
I had a medium sized Female American Eskimo named Emma. She was an Angel on Earth. I miss her much. Keep doing what you do Young Lady!
What a cutie!
