I also liked how much the leafs ( Tavares as an example but many others) controlled the puck then cleared it out of the zone under controlled pressure instead of the too often desperate then unsuccessful attempts to clear.... this makes for way less degeneration of deliberate planned defensive zone play... I thought that was a big difference....

Guys, great Channel and amazing episode as always. As you were singing the praises of Bobby McMann with his 14th goal, I couldn't help but think about how unfair you both have been to Nick Robertson, who has 10 goals this season, despite relatively limited ice time. The two players have both played the same number of games, and Nick Robertson has 2 more assists and only four penalty minutes, as opposed to McCann 's 40 penalty minutes. Robertson also has a game-winning goal, which McMann does not. Bobby is a plus 10, but Robertson is still a plus three, so I don't think we should eschew Robertson so quickly. He has been given a bad rap his whole career, and it's probably only because he's small. Don't get me wrong, I love Bobby McMann and I am glad to see him surge, but Nick Robertson has been quietly, and without a lot of complaining, doing a great job for the Leafs... Just my two cents...keep up the great work, guys.
No one has ever complained about Robertson’s offensive input, it’s the defensive gaffes/effort that leaves a lot to be desired. His size/way he gets pushed off the puck will also kill a team in the playoffs. That’s the main difference w/ him and Bobby.
Was there and it was electric. Probably 90% Leaf Fans. Highlights of course Matthews 60th goal and to me it was Sammy’s acknowledgement to the crowd by raising his stick at the end of the game.
Loved the hit by Ovechkin, that’s what separates him from his peers, I can’t think of another elite goal scorer who hits like Ovie, dude has over 3600 hits in his career.
Should of been a significant amount of time on Tavares bounce back game tonight after getting aired out from last game 😊

So Washington is one of the hottest teams. Doesn’t look it. Leafs are average this year yet they still smack them . Makes no sense.
The leafs are 10 points up on the capitals in overall standings and have been a top 5 team record wise since January. How does it not make sense that they would win this game?
Leafs are way above average when they want to be.
