Dimash è un genio! Un grande narratore e un rompicapo! Chiunque abbia guardato il video, realizzato da un fan con il suo cellulare, dello show di Dimash ad Hong Kong, ha avuto il piacere di un primo contatto con la canzone “When I've Got You” e si è reso conto, nella musica di Dimash e nel testi di Candice Kelly e Dmytro Gordon, una canzone romantica, seducente e appassionata cantata con il virtuosismo di Dimash. C'era tensione e ansia nel poter guardare la versione in studio con una migliore qualità del suono... Ora, con l'uscita di questo video musicale, ci rendiamo conto di quanto sia creativo Dimash: Un video suspense dall'atmosfera “noir”, ma senza essere collocato nel passato, e un racconto di passione su una creatura soprannaturale che si sente sola e ha bisogno di realizzare la sua passione per una donna mortale che soffre per volere e non volerla trasformare in una delle sue creature soprannaturali. La trama di Iskander Yerbolat ci incuriosisce per risolvere il mistero dell'intera storia che è il sogno di un giornalista che intervista "DQ", o che è una realtà in cui il "vampiro" non ha morso la sua "preda" per amore! Intrigante... Il video è uno spettacolo in sé: desaturato con dettagli rosso vivo (ombrello, sangue nelle mani, sangue in piscina, insegna pubblicitaria, neon sullo specchio...), una classica Rolls Royce, una villa cupa e moderna e tanto di dettagli. Una storia che rende omaggio a diversi drammi classici che coinvolgono creature soprannaturali e passione! L'edizione impeccabile con tagli precisi che completano la sceneggiatura, effetti semplici ed estremamente efficaci e interpretazioni magistrali: Dimash (il vampiro seducente e tormentato, Polina Guzieva (l'appassionata giornalista), Manuel de Jesús Sánchez Sotolongo (il sinistro maggiordomo) e l'harem di vampiri senz'anima (Angelin Sapozhnikova, Valeriya Lyasheva, Andreana Tkachenko, Maria Aristatarkhova, Lilia Kiser e Klinnyushina Alina), superbi! La canzone è uno spettacolo in sé: un mix di Blue, Scat, Jazz, R&B, Rock... Variazioni accattivanti: un ponte verso il ritornello pieno di forza e seduzione e un bellissimo ritornello ispirato al rock classico e alla destrezza e agilità di Dimash! Oltre all'assolo di chitarra ben piazzato eseguito da Abik Jeksen! the best voice, that's why Dimash is called.. after listening to this song, we all understand why. he could become one of the most popular global singers if he is fully committed to pop music only. anyway he's still popular worldwide though. BTW love this song so much such a bop.

Read closely the newspaper headlines at the end, its important to the story. The girl is a reporter going to interview 'Dimash'.; so is the episode she experiences her imagination or did it really take place. This is typical of the approach Dimash has in his own songs, layers of meaning.

The only real thing that has stopped Dimash from being king of the world to date has been the lack of a hook (a worm ear) that is sing-able by people who weren't vocal gods (the drug that fuels western pop...) this R&B power ballad serves that purpose... His composition has (not always but a many times) followed or borrowed from the classical formula for composition (Recitativo - The story, the message to tell [whispery half spoken start to set the scene] Cantabile - The beautiful melody - the build up - the smoulder before the fireworks [ beautiful legato notes well within his easy range (of course for Dimash that's basically all the notes available lol) ] Cadenza - The improvisation area where the singer can show off their tricks - the fire [ whistle notes, queen of the night staccati, the Ave Maria / Ave Amore in Love is like a dream, the soprano section in Ikanaide etc] Cabaletta - the explosion - the power notes - the resolution [a lot of the singer stuff, Love is like a dream, Your love etc]) This is beautiful to our ears but not so compelling for many of those born after music died (that would be when money not art became the watchword for a music career) They need the hook to keep their 30 second attention span captivated, something they can hum or sing ad nauseum to maintain their fix - think blinding lights or Gangnam style. Pop is much simpler Intro (optional) Verse [ may mean something (hopefully) may not ] Hook (the Chorus [almost always]) Verse Hook Bridge (not always) Verse Hook Hook the thing is you don't have to understand the structure or even know it exists, no matter which composition formula is used you feel it innately and the differing effects reach different types of audiences. OK - theory nerdery over... loved your reaction, liked and subbed.

- First of all - Dimash is not a casual POP artist, he creates in a much difficult and not so 'mainstream' 'popera' genre. And that is why Dimash's Art is NOT for everyone. Today's most of all POP music, in my opinion, is like a 'fast-food' (easy to listen. good for everyday listening and etc.) and it is not a band thing,. If there is a need for that product- there'll always be a lot of listeners.. On the other hand - Dimash music is like a fine cuisine (you have to have a taste to fully understand and appreciate it). I, myself, can enjoy both of those worlds. 😅

Thank you for your reaction! 😊 I love this song so much! ❤ And this video was only a little scary. Just like a vampire story is supposed to be. 😊❤ You should consider sticking to one language. If there is more than one language auto-translation only translates one of them. (At least that happens often, when multiple languages are involved). I do understand Italian, so I could follow most of what you said. And you translated part of it into English, so that most viewers can follow. So it’s not a big problem. Still you should know about it. 😅
