Our Fairytale Cottage in Dorset England

Happy Spring friends, we went away for the Easter holidays to this beautiful cottagecore fairytale hobbit cottage in the Dorset Countryside deep in a pretty woodland.
It's a beautiful little house in the middle of a woodland surrounded by pretty trees, flowers (when the local deer have not eaten them) and amazing places to visit locally.
It was our first time staying away as a family of three in a holiday cottage and truth be told I was a little worried how Tabitha would sleep being away somewhere different. Those worries were totally eradicated when she slept soundly asleep all night on both nights giving us time as a couple to enjoy the quiet of the cottage, a cup of tea and talk into the darkness of the night.
We were lucky enough to meet the owners of the cottage, two ladies (sisters) and their lovely mother who first visited the cottage when she was sixteen years old. Her husband's parents were stationed there in the war after the local estate (a big house) said they could live their as they were a young (soon to be) family. The lady and gave birth upstairs in the bigger room which is where the story really starts. Over that time the cottage stayed in the local estates hands until many years later it came up for sale when the grandmother we met bought it as a gift for her husband and the rest is history!
In the video you will see a relaxing tour of the cottage and can spend time really taking in the history and pretty features. In one of the clips you will see in the ceiling there is some sort of door, this was the original door to the upstairs (it's so small I honestly don't think I would fit through it right now!) and has been saved as part of the history of the cottage.
