Anime Discussion and exploration is back on the channel. Once a month. Here is a re-upload from my first video featuring The glorious Attack on Titan/Sawano soundscape. Looking forward to more. Expect once ish a month give or take. This will always be a video game music channel FIRST and MOST importantly, but, I think this will be fun. :)
If you would like to support me more directly, since these videos DO get claimed around anime especially: consider becoming a patron!

You can tell he crafted the story around that concept (whereas a lot of shounen anime were crafted around the stereotypical main character battling harder and harder enemies and leveling up). Man. The entire story and journey is just incredible. Not unique of course, but you can tell he really really tried and it pays off.

Unfortunately he had to admit that despite saying he leans into music not always needing context...it really does at times. An additional example can be viewed during the try not to cry video, where he hears Omori's Final Duet. Which is moving and emotional, however without full context it's simply a somber waltz quality.

These pieces are a masterpiece in their own, in the anime they add a level of power and desperation and sadness and strength all at once man it baffles you so much. Hiroyuki Sawano is a mastermind adding the synths and drums and the electric guitar, the chior, mika kobayashi as lead singer. All of this is just kicking in HARD

Some of the best known ones are Hanazeve caradhina, Rumble of Scientific triumph, Old Stories, VOH and I could keep going but in all honesty the whole two seasons and film all have outstanding soundtracks, fits the anime so dam well.

  • AoT is insane because you've got unskippable openings like Guren no Yumiya and Shinzo wo Sasageyo, you've got haunting tracks like Vogel im Kafig and Call of Silence, and then you've somehow also got bops like Barricades and Splinter Wolf. Synth, Rock, Pop, Opera, Rap hell even Metal. One of those animes that will remain a staple for eternity. And I haven't even mentioned the writing. Each episode is only 20 minutes. Give the first one a watch, I promise you won't regret it. As someone who only started watching anime 3-4 months ago, AoT was the second anime I ever watched and it's definitely played its part into getting me hooked with a ton of other shows. There's a whole damn universe of shows with insanely well done music out there.

Without a doubt this story is a masterpiece (even with its imperfections), but the music added in the anime hits different and make everything even better. I mean, there're probably lots of comments saying how they get chills or become emotional messes when they listen to any of these tracks because of the moments they evoke, no matter the time that has happened already.
