Since I haven't uploaded for a while I figured now would be a good time to talk about the tune/remap on my Seat Leon Fr that brought the power from 140BHP now closer to 180BHP ballpark now that I ran the car in for a couple of months.
Since we have passed 100 subscribers I would really like to take the time out to THANK YOU all for taking an interest in this build.
It might not be the fast build compare to all the big names on KZhead so it means a lot to see a big number of people joining this family
THANK YOU THANK YOUUUUUU!
appreciate the video man, especially since you’re a busy guy!
Thank you fir the support
I have the newer facelift Leon FR which comes with the 1.5TSI. It came as 130bhp and had a stage 1 to 160BHP. Feels so much better to drive. Less turbo lag, better torque in the right place. I previously had a Golf Mk7 which i remapped at 20k miles and sold it with 100K miles and had no issues with reliability. Never even had to replace clutch and flywheel. Personally I feel remapping a small amount has little effect on reliability but huge change on drivability. Also getting over 50mpg from a petrol which is unreal!
I know a lot of people won't be impressed with the power increase but alot of people underestimate how light these Leons are now. very nippy especially in city driving. POV driving coming soon.
Where did you get that done? I'm interested in that
@@blowie704 I got it done in Northern Ireland but the tuning company was english. Think it was SCC tuning. To be honest though, most tuning companies can remap this engine now.
@@Gti.7.5 thanks. How did yours drive before remap? Mine is ok but it has a flat spot about 2000 revs where there is little torque and then turbo boost kicks in about 2200, makes normal driving a little bit annoying, I'm hoping a remap which concentrates on torque will make it pull better from those speeds
What company did you get your remap from
thanks for making the videos, one question. when are you going to do lap nordschleife/nürburgring? hope to see you ther
also do have a insta to follow?
LOL I would get lapped by van drivers up there. No where NEAR the power to take on a legend race course But of course like all petrol heads its a bucket list to tick off one day also the autobahn 😁
it is up in case you wanna dm me any questions etc search Abz_Mohamed_ you should see me there
@@abdi862 it's super fun to drive with your own car 21km of race track for just 25 to 30 euro per lap. and big car culture around the track
@@abdi862 super, i am going to follow you now
Any chance you've done a dyno on this to confirm gains? any impact on mpg? I've got the mk4 leon fr sport 150hp and really tempted to remap to 180~ but mostly the jump from 250nm to 300+nm sounds tempting, once warranty is over
Not yet i will upload a video in Nov to confirm the BHP gain MPG for some reason shows 5MPG gain each time so thats nice no mechanical issues been solid car and the power is not overwhelming but you can clearly feel the difference.
Great video pal👍
Thanks 👍
I’ve got a 1.6 tdi, feels so sluggish. You think its a good idea to remap to stage 1?
I would say so yes, but depends on how you would normally drive
Great video, also recently had my 184 fr mapped, difference is stupid, running 224bhp and can defo suprise people on the road 😂 I’ve left gti’s after the map, the torque on the diesel is just to much at higher rpm doesent stop pulling so much fun, also had no issues so far, fingers crossed it stays that way
Perfect car for urban missions! 👌🏾
Recently bought but a 184, tempetedcto get a remap, any negatives after the map?
@@hectorc01 none so far for me, just doesent stop pulling
its funny isnt it, I have a FR150 that has turbo and some other bits circa 250 bhp tdi its fun, there is a lad local to me who has a red 3 door 1.4 tsi with a map soon as he cottons onto mine he does not wanna play haha
@@raGEEE1986 250hp? Serious gains, what have you had done to it
I’m about to buy 2.0fr tdi 2015 for a daily is there a better engine I should go for or? I think it looks way better than gtd that’s why I’m getting it for a daily
TDI versions are solid engines since i dont do a lot of miles, it didn't warrant the TDi engine so went for the lighter TSI engine. Enjoy pall Stay tuned as i will be dropping a video regarding all of the mods features i unlocked using OBD11
How do you know how much bhp have the engine gained after the remap? Did the remap guy do some pre and post tests?
Nope Will be planning to do a rolling road test soon. It definitely feels stronger and have already done a test against a 140 Fr and beat it.
@@abdi862 ok, I guess we'll see the results in some next video. I have a diesel 184 fr and have been thinking of doing a remap so now I am in process of collecting others experiences :)
If I were to do it again I would sort out the breathing part first before tuning Would have had a better result
@@vladoddv I have the face lift 184 fr and had it mapped stage 1, running 224bhp and the difference in pulling power is crazy, just keep going
Is the Remap stil doing good without problems?
yes power still causes no issues but i will do a dyno test so stay tuned!
Is this a 1.4 TSI 140bhp or 1.4 TSI ACT 155bhp?
It’s the 140 version
What engine does it have 2.0?
nope it’s got a 1.4 engine
Is this in leicester? I think I’ve seen your car around😂
Ahahah yeah it is my dude
I have the exact same car, who were the lads who did your car?
Sorry for the late response. its just a generic off the shelf base maps i genuinely forgot to take the details down and post it up i will be doing a dyno plus some more hardware so stay tuned
in finland a remap is typically £400 - £450
similar here in the UK
