  • The bay horse in the beginning is trying to tell you guys something. Please, just check if it has ulcers. Don't just respond to its "misbehavior" by bullying it. Try to understand where the problems come from and work through them slowly and carefully. 2:27 is completely unacceptable. The horse was being quiet and calm, which is what you obviously want, and you still yank on the halter. The horse is going to see this as a punishment but won't know what it is doing wrong. 5:56 What are you even doing here? Lunging? Are you trying to get him to back up? 7:10 Punishing his "bad behavior" by lashing out via the bit is making the horse do more of the bad. I don't want to bother listing everything else in the video that needs improving. Just do better.

    • Have you any clue what are stallions trying to fight eachother is ? This is not a case of stress, this is a case of hormones and aggression.... With that said...it should have been handled differently.

      @anniebemmel5746@anniebemmel57462 жыл бұрын
    • @@anniebemmel5746 it IS stress because they have multiple stallions in a small area and they are clearly keeping them locked in dark stalls with metal doors where they can hear but cannot see anything going on. Undoubtedly they are also keeping mares in the same area judging by the stallions behavior.

  • I sound harsh on this young man. He is proud of himself. It takes courage to ride a horse like this. I know. I have. Two things my father did for my autism...#1 horses until my 20's #2 martial arts Karate. When 14 my father bought me a greenbroke stallion. "Show the horse who is boss. Get his attention if he disobeys by making his mouth hurt, or whip him." I know techniques used here because that is what I was taught. I rarely ever used the bit as a weapon yanking reins like a butcher or whip. If I did as a teenager it had great MEANING because...my stallion was endangering his life, mine or someone else. Karate kept me fit enough to ride. 40 years later, I was given the Arabian Stallion to "tame." I was old, had moved on to Aikido and Tai Chi...and horsemen/ranchers who coached me before the Arab's ride at the breeding barn said "The goal is for that horse to WANT to participate." He will not ever do that if you hurt him especially when he thinks he is trying to give you what you want. The stallion here would say "I am horny as hell, there is a predator on my back, my mouth is being bludgeoned and I am not sure/don't understand what he even wants?" What a first date. The young man does pet the horse after wrapping his arms around its neck like a lion. He does talk to it "some" calmly once in the desert. I feel with the horse because I have autism. The young man is embarrassed after he hits the ground hard when the horse flips. A horse is a beast of burden and MOST can be dominated into submission if training is so harsh it breaks the spirit. Some Amish force a horse to lie down, cover it with a blanket and whip it. It makes a reliable buggy horse on the road with cars and rarely do we see an Amish horse out of control... Human beings are not as easy to dominate as horses... Dominating humans doesn't work in the end. Wives can be turned submissive even children...UNTIL THEY CAN'T. The old way of doing things isn't the most reliable to get the best out of an Arabian or human being. It causes resentment. Just my autistic opinion. Peace.

  • Some horses truly have a screw loose. I'd guess this is one of them. It usually comes from genetics that don't line up right. I would guess an objective would be to make him move forward - instead of rear and flip over. However it's not good to push all horses like that.

    • He us hurting the horse and it only tries to defend himself. If it had a screw loose, he would already be in a wheelchair. This horse is incredibly gently and forgiving, considering that 1) it is hurt 2) experiences stress 3) would like to escape but cannot 4) does not understand what this human being wants him to do.

    • @@Falanghina00 from what I recall from the video it us true he threw too much at the horse and it had no idea what he wanted ... However it reared and flipped over in the absence of any emergency reason -- he was not doing anything to cause that level of reaction. Flipping over backwards tends to be a sign of a screw loose.

    • @@Falanghina00 I tried to watch the video again but was interrupted by work. It looked more like a really rank young stallion with no ground manners that got ticked off when the guy kept asking him to move forward. The cold reared a number of times, flipped over. The rider didn't lose and punish the colt. The rider just got back on. After all that the racing the colt out in the desert was a bit harsh. But that was after the rearing and flipping over backwards.

  • What beautiful horses and a brave man! But a violent way to ride! Try it with love and the language of the horses and it could be so much easier and you will have more fun! Both of you! And please! Stop clicking the tongue all the time! This drives me crazy, what will it do to the stallion? Anyway, much love from Austria! I wish I could live in this beautiful country with this beautiful horses! ❤️

  • I have autism. I was the first rider on an Arabian stallion much like this one. 3 professionals were afraid of the hospital bill because of stallion behavior and owner's hope the horse would become a breeding stallion. No one has the right to be critical if they have not done first rides on an Arabian stallion. Looks like the stallion's first ride? I have autism PDDNOS. I am not athletically endowed like the young man. The young man is very strong and athletic using his force to dominate the small horse. A good question is how does he treat female humans? The stallion is over powered by the martingale and rigging holding its head in place but again, it takes TIME to do a better job. It appears mostly he wants the horse to move forward, bend and move HQ's. All desert and no trees is easier. How did "I" an autistic do on my first ride with my Arabian stallion? I took time to do groundwork and establish the horse look to me when in doubt but females in estrous caused difficulty when up on his back. The horse was eventually gelded and the breeding farm sold it. I refused to dominate and break his spirit or trust. Not every stallion needs to be a stallion if behavior is less than noble with the power + mind altering judgement of testosterone. The new owner ran a 75 miler with it and it is her favorite. Perhaps as the young man ages and learns he can't rely on his youth and strength "might makes right" he will learn a kinder balance of discipline, strength, communication. He probably doesn't know a better way nor care to know...yet. He is young. Still learning...so am I. Mutual participation brings calm re-assurance and the loyalty which makes this breed famous. My stallion would leave his food just to be with me. Best to everyone.
