Rotary Hummer Restoration Video
I found it in a dilapidated state. It has soil inside, likely to soak in the mud.
I got it for free from the seller, but It takes me a lot of time to restore it. Finally, I am really happy that it works after I put all parts back together. At the end of the video, you will see I test this tool.
I hope you find something useful & enjoy the video!
I am happy to receive your feedback, advice, suggestions to improve myself.
!!! I apologize for the mistake if I have made in this restoration !!!
**I still keep some parts, I want to save the world's environment**
--------------Thank you so much for Likes & Comments--------------

  • I worked at Hiltis repair center many years ago. I have repaired hundreds, if not thousands of 504’s. Even if it’s many years ago, i still remember every small o-ring, spring, bearing and retaining rings, and what goes where. I even remember the smell of the old grease and oil 😁 Great job restoring an old classic 👍

  • I've done this to a few old tools at work that were ready for the bins. Just like you, I do it for fun and to see old things brought to life again with a little care and attention. The guys at work seem to think what I'm doing is pointless, but there are enough tools in the world and not enough people around to care for them.

  • I am working with that tool since I was a kid. My father bought it when we started renewing our home inside, outside, the garden,... and we even used it for digging holes in the ground. We were so proud of it. "Get the Hilti!" :) (Later it got a little wired when we also got a TE5 which we then called the "Hilti for drilling".) Now I am working on my own bought house. Finally (just before I finished breaking a wall) it stopped hammering. Finally? I hooe not and thanks to this excellent and more or less slow enough video I believe I am able to get it into pieces, cleaned and hoepefully identify whats wrong. I am probably going to spend some time and money to get it working again. Hoping for many more years of hammering with this tool. Thanks for this video, it's giving me hope and helping me. Also found a drawing on the Internets, showing the parts for assembly.
