The worst part is that at this point it has become such a pattern for shows like this to get voided despite their success that people have already stopped giving them a chance, because why would they, every time you hear all the plans and hopes for the renewal the creators have and no matter how much noise the fans make it is scrapped without notice like nothing. Netflix truly are their worst enemies, I cannot believe they haven't changed their approach to things by now after years and years of backlash.
Literally because enough is enough they increased their prices,stopped password sharing,and either ruin their good shows or cancel them and allow awful shows to flourish how much longer will they continue to make their paying customers suffer smh

This was just so incredibly acted and lovely. The inflection in George’s voice when he says “Charles I’m in love with you” carries SO much emotion. These two are such wonderful actors, we absolutely need a season 2!!!

This is such a relatable scene. I’ve had unrequited love for people and had worked up the courage to tell them even though I knew it may not be reciprocated and it always worked out and made friendships stronger.

I think that this moment was amazing, idk what will happen between the characters but its amazing how they managed to portray the love they have for each other. It was comforting and sweet
These two are both excellent young actors. George Rexstrew in particular just blew me away though. I was surprised to find that this was his first major role. He ate it up in every way, showing that he could nail both the humor and drama. The way his voice cracked when he said, "Charles, I'm in love with you," hit me like a ton of bricks.
Their friendship is perfect
This scene not only was so beautifully acted, but also it really strikes a chord at this moment in many people´s lives, including mine. It will always have a very special place in my heart and I don't know how to thank the boys (Jayden and George) enough for the brilliant and meaningful work they did here!

the love with which charles tells edwin he is the most important person in his life, even though he can't reciprocate his feelings, is so well performed i literally shed tears they are soulmates and nothing will ever change that :')

As one among many people who never had the guts to tell their best friend that they loved them more than a friend, that scene just struck a cord in me. Really encapsulates why I somehow felt like Edwin was going to be my favorite character, it was a gut feeling but now I can see why. I admire how the character is portrayed, the emotion of that confession just makes me feel at awe at how brave he was, for taking the leap, one that many wouldn't risk. Such strength, it amazes me. Loved the series, can't wait for more.

The love they have for each other is so real and true. It survived one of the most vulnerable moments in their relationship proving how strong and deep their love for each other really is. It goes beyond romantic love. It was beautifully written but expertly performed by these two actors. I love them and this show so much!!! ♥️

George nailed this scene, you can see his eyes when he said he's in love with Charles, and also the part where Charles was unable to reciprocate back. I kept replaying this scene over and over, really shows the vulnerability of Edwin and how their friendship/bromance has grown significantly in the last 30 years.
I remember when I watched the first episode, ranting (to myself) about the different beautiful aspect of this, film-wise (I'm in my Highschool Film Club lol). Like, 10 mins into episode one, you could see and feel the love between these Edwin and Charles-- even though I wasn't 100% certain whether it was romantic, platonic, or whatever. I loved the confession-- how Charles didn't feel exactly the same way, but made SURE Edwin knew that he still loved and would do anything for him. It creates more of a bond between the characters, I think. One this I love about this show is how much the main characters obviously love eachother-- even Edwin and Crystal, though they'd never admit it 😂. Need that Season 2, Netflix 🙏.
I feel like alot of this show portrayed character growths, and this moment is so clearly a point on that journey. There could be more progressions in the future concerning what they are to each other and how they deal with their emotions, but they've come such a long way in building their connection and friendship, and namely Edwin is learning how to be vulnerable and clearly has done a lot to get to that point. This scene hit like a brick and I wouldn't have it any other way

When you have really good straight friends and you sometimes fall for one of them and they are really decent to you when you confess. You deal with it, move on and you grow up being well adjusted. Very well done all. Resonated really well

SO CHARLES GO AFTER THE GIRL AND BOTH REALIZE THEY DON'T HAVE THE CHEMISTRY AND BY THE THE END OF THE DAY HE HAS AN EXPERIENCE WITH EDWIN AND REALISE HE’S THE LOVE OF HIS LIVE ….OMG BRING SEASON 2!

Charles loves Edwin maybe not in the way Edwin wants but there is so much love there. I know the point was to have a coming of age queer romance moment but also, I think it is important to show that two boys can have platonic love. That two men can love each other not romantically. I think in a way they accomplished both.
