I recommend you to recite the last 3 chapters (surah) of the Quran and the ayatul kursyi (Q 2:255). These are the most powerful verses against the unseen (the Jinns). Memorize them and recite, if you have (or indicate) any problems regarding them.

Jinn don't interfere in human world. You can judge it for yourself by observing your own life and experiences. In cases of failing marriages, it is extremely important to our Imaan and rational thinking that we understand failed marriages are not always the result of sihr (magic/magicians) and jinn; however, it is good practice to read protections prayers in the Quran Al Karim and authentic Ahadith.
WolfGang the Quran specifically refers to the use of magic to separate a man and wife. Ayah paraphrased says- “They taught the magic to separate a wife from spouse (beyna mar’i wa zawji), it was not Suleyman.”- and this statement is used in Ruqyah - prayers for those inflicted. Intellectually the breakdown of a family is considered the greatest I’ll in any society, causing many issues. However, you are correct in stating that not all divorces are a result of magic. The example here is of the types of magic that man was taught by Harut and Marut- to angels that were critical of man’s weakness to sin. That is a whole other story. I hope this helps.

After a fire in our house, my family and I lived in another house temporarily. From the time we moved in, I could sense that there was something there that didn't seem like it was very friendly. Prior to the fire, I had had a dream about the master bedroom in that house. I knew that there was a jinn there. The house felt very uncomfortable, and we couldn't wait until our house was repaired so that we could move back in. One night, I went to every room in that house and recited Ayat Kursi. After that, the dreadful feeling we had from being in that house went away, and it actually felt nice to be there. I almost didn't want to move out when our house was repaired and ready for us to move back in.

I’m still scared of the jinn. I can’t prove it but I grew up with one. I couldn’t pray often as a kid because I would shake as if I were cold but I would be burning up. Once when I was 22 I saw a shadow coming near me as I was in the shower. I told it to leave me. I’ll never forget that fear. This is helpful to know that I can be brave by saying this prayer.
