We rescued a half Corgi, half Schnauzer little girl six years ago. She is the most beautiful and sweetest dog ever. I love her so much it's actually shocking; I didn't realize I had the capacity to love a living being as much as I love her.

Corgis are a breed apart. They are independent feisty and loyal to the nth degree. We just lost our corgi in her 12th year to congestive heart failure and l will miss her forever. Such a joy watching your little corgi playing by itself🐕🐕💕💕

Having had a pair of these clowns myself, I can attest that their personalities can vary greatly fom one dog to another. I personally think dogs that are pets in our home do much better when they have a buddy. They are pack animals after all. I have had many different dogs, none better than the sis and bro Pembrokes who, when they died, left a huge hole in our lives and heart. Long life and happiness to these two puppers.

*CORGI!* my grandmother had corgis, mostly Pembroke, and I simply adore their playfulness! At a young age when I would return from boarding school, having not seen the dogs for months, upon seeing them I would raise both hands and yell CORGI at the top of my lungs. Apparently I’m not the only one who’s done that! 🙌 🧐
Lily is my soul dog : she plays her own games, so she never looses !

My brother’s Schnauzers act exactly the same way! The sister must be a runt because she’s smaller then her brother ( same litter), but she is FEARLESS, while he is introverted! She’s always ready for anything, while he hangs back, hides from loud noises, but, when walking, has to be ahead of his sister….. to “protect” her?😅 We really marvel at their personalities and attitudes, keep us amused. She’ll play fetch, but wants you to chase her. Brother will kick in once in awhile but gives up because sister is faster and moves him out of the way. When she’s really bored, she will toss her toy around and tackle it. Animals are SO entertaining and delightful! 😊

My dog, Ramses, used to do this. While I was at work he would toss empty nursery pots in the air and chase them. He learned to stick his head inside and flip them.

Corgis are the best having been owned by four since 1977miss them so much. One didn't make it past 4 weeks old, so would have been number five all alone at the moment Jan UK
Lili is amazing
When you're bred to herd cows, independence is pretty much a required trait. They come from my country 🏴 and I've never met one that if active (some are definitely couch potatoes), wasn't able - and often ready and willing! - to take a human out at the knees 😂. They're tough little blighters, but by gawd you have to respect them. Don't let their cuteness blind you! (They are cute though, aren't they? ❤) I've heard they're a lot more intelligent than they usually let on, probably because if everyone knew how smart they _really_ are they'd be required to do things. How true that is, I don't know! 😅
