3.5mm direct connect has way better noise cancelling, but volume is lower
Hi Andy, thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. Which headset do you use?
Thanks for the review. The mic noise cancellation is acceptable. Maybe not as good as their ANC-branded models, but still good enough. In addition, the voice is recorded sharp and accurate and doesn't have too much of that muffled "phony" sound signature that some other headsets have for the same price. Their USB amplifier is definitely better than a direct 3.5 connection. Yeah, their model names are confusing. Wondering if their cheaper model SC 160 (as I understand, it doesn't have a 3.5 jack) would be totally enough for my needs. Contrary to what many people want, I don't like headphones that isolate too much. I like to hear when a kid or a pet needs my attention, or when someone is ringing at the door. As I understand, this headset should be comfortable for all-day-long use and shouldn't be too warm and won't cause too much sweating. Is this headset a good option for my needs or are there better non-isolating wired options for the same price, offering more comfort and less isolation, while providing great microphone noise canceling?
Its a wonderful video.. helped a lot on finding the right headphones for me.. it would be really good if the mic test can be done under ceiling fan as well which is most commonly a noise during work from home..
Hi Kiran, thanks for watching and we appreciate the idea of the ceiling fan test.
I am from INDIA. On your analysis of EPOS Adapt 165 Dual Speaker USB Computer Headset, i made a purchase decision. I am glad i purchased the headset as it is very light and comfortable. Your channel gives an excellent advice on headsets. I hope your channel reaches to a million subscribers in a few months. you have many milestones to conquer. Keep it up folks.
Hi Saurabh, thank you for the kind words and we're happy this video helped you make a decision. One day millions of subscribers would be epic!
I've been following your videos a lot these days. You sure are doing a great job using these blender tests. It really helps a lot to make clear choice when it comes to microphone. Thank you so much❤️ I'm going to order this one. I really liked the mic quality. Just 2 quick questions: 1. When you're trying to listen music and put mic up, does the mic stay there or does it slips down? 2. Does sound leaks out of speakers so someone can know what you're listening?
Hi Abhishek, thanks for watching and we appreciate your support. 1. The microphone stays put. 2. No the sound does not leak out.
Awesome, Thank you! ❤️
Noise canceling is same on both USB C and 3.5mm mode, but USB C mode has a crisper and louder voice of the speaker
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your videos, I watched some and you give some value information. I have the PC3 version, the entry level, they are kind of ok for me, good price quality, after some years of using it, almost every day, the cable near to the headset it's falling apart and I need a new ones. So I need to buy a new ones, but why not upgrade them instead of get the same!! For me this ones also have a good price for next step level, and with some extra price I can have an USB sound card (yes I can buy them without USB and save something like 14€) but it will be useful for laptops have low quality sound card or only have the same usbC connection for charging and connect the headphones. For this test I think miss extending testing between USB sound card of heaphones and the PC onboard card. And even In PC we can have the low and good quality sound card.
Hi Luis, thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
20 models of basically the same thing, good job EPOS!
😅
Almost as important as the mic quality is the ear pads. I've tried some very uncomfortable headsets that looks just like the Sennheiser pads, sweaty leather with very little comfort. Takes about 10 minutes before you just wanna rip'em off your head. This is mostly the deal breaker with cheap headsets. They may sound okay and the mic may be quite acceptable, but the pads are terrible cause that's where they cut down cost.
Nice headset nice review
Glad you think so! Thanks for watching.
Sennheiser is a great and underestimated company for the headsets they make with the EPOS series.
Definitely!
Does the USB C mode connectivity also work for new model mobile phones which have USB C port for connecting external mic and speakers? Please comment.
We haven’t personally tested this so unfortunately we can’t say for certain if it would with with a mobile phone with USB-C.
Yes. In case the sound does not seem to come through, turn on the OTG and it should work fine.
Does ears sweat after some time of use? This problem i have with Jabra Evolve 2. Thanks.
With any dual speaker headset there's a chance your ears can sweat, and everyone is different so it's hard to say for certain.
for the same price as the blackwire 3320. which would you prefer? i personally feel the build quality on this is not as good as the Plantronics
I have both of them. For this one the voice is more natural. For plantronics the voice is louder. In term of comfortable, this one hurt my ear within 30 minutes you cannot use it longer. I try many times and still face the same problem. In term of comfortable go to plantronic.
Both are very comparable in our opinion to comfort and durability. It's hard to fully answer because some customers like the fit of the Plantronics and others the Epos. Both are a good value.
Can you help me make a decision between - Jabra Evolve 40 or EPOS Adapt 165?
What’s most important to you in a headset?
@@HeadsetAdvisor durability and noise cancellation.
Is this the same as the Sennheiser SC 165 USB?
Hi Alejandro, yes it's the same. Sennheiser business headsets have rebranded to Epos now. That's the only difference.
@@HeadsetAdvisor Thanks!
when you plugged directly to 3.5mm, its cancelling your noise as well, lol xo
We haven't tested this but the noise canceling should still work.
I used these at work, long time usage hurts your ears lol
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Good news there's a lot of headsets available to choose from :)
