The Maple Leafs have to make room for William Nylander up front and are tweaking their blue line for a pivotal Game 4 against the Bruins. Mark Masters has the latest on Sheldon Keefe's lineup adjustments for tonight.
Former Leaf Zach Hyman has the same number of play-off goals as the entire Leaf team ( 6 ) He also had 54 goals this season and is paid just $ 5.5 Million a year. What's my point ? We had him at a home town discount and let him go.

@@BORRZZ The Leafs, the way they are playing, would NOT do well against the Kings. The real factor here is that Oilers have superstars that show up. McDavid has more than Marner and Matthews combined and doubled so far. Matthews has never shown up at that level and Hyman wouldnt score 50+ on the Leafs either. Draisaitl and McDavid have the same number of points as the entire Leafs lineup right now.
It had less to do with the AAV and more to do with the length of the contract. He wanted long term. And we didn’t want to sign a 31 year old guy to a 7 year deal.

Honestly the commentary on the leafs woes ranges from less than great goaltending, defense, lack of offence, special teams, coaching, the fans in the building, the media. So basically everything that there is about the team and surrounding it lol.
not sure ive ever seen Robertson be hard on a puck but hey. Keefe counting down his days in Toronto and robertson too imo Tre's team starts next year

I've watched the Leafs all year and I can't believe how many different lineups Keef has had. He seems not to know who to play. I've never seen anything like it. There is an additional element in a game that comes from players knowing their linemates and if Keef had to keep swapping out players on a weekly basis, he plainly doesn't know the players well enough. He always blames the players. Team playing is down to the coach, not the players. Cohesion comes from playing with the same lineup week in and week out, not from putting the players into a blender every week. I think he is coaching to save his job, not make the team better.
Dewar has been very good... as well as the 4th line .I thought the goal of the 4th line was to shut down the other team ,spend time in the offensive zone and use up minutes to help the top guys with managing their time on ice. Why do we put a weak defensive player that may score on the 4th line? ...prediction Robertson on the 4th line gives up muffin when he feels the pressure of the forecheck in his own end and scaredy cats it right on the Bruins stick for the game winner!
PK hasn't done well. Reason for the Dewar change. Gregor done well on the forth line, should have been inserted.
The team sucks, no other way around it. Every year the powerplay disapears late in the season when the games matter. That's a by product of soft players who can't match intensity with other teams.

Bruins school the Leafs on how to play playoff hockey. Leafs dominated for two straight periods. Boston's excellent defense and forecheck too much for the Leafs to overcome. Leafs need to win three straight to have a chance. The series is over.

Since the fans loves to trash the coach and the GM on an endless basis makes me believe the fans can do a better job coaching and managing the Leafs than Keefe and Treliving can. Why doesn't Shanahan do the common sense thing and replace Keefe with the fans or when the Leafs replaced Dubas with Treliving, Shanahan should've replaced Dubas with the fans instead. After all the fans knows more about the team and their strengths and weaknesses than the management team does.

I want to replace the players. t's the guys on the ice not the ones on the bench who are to blame. They had the same problems they have today when Babcock was coaching. They just don't have the jam to match intensity this time of year. You can't fix character, people are who they are.
