Saint Peter's is loaded with guys that can shoot well. They make a high percentage of mid range jumpers and threes. And they make their free throws. Hard work works. Guys were not the 5 star recruits, but they put in the work, and played well as a team. Would love to see this continue.
Teams that shoot well from mid range and 3 are always trouble in the tournament!
yea but idk if i like that, i like the fact that school in the past fiew years like davidson and dayton and saint peters do well but it makes every young kid want to shoot, even if they are 7 foot, and it takes away from the game of basketball.... people need to learn that shaq hakeem and david robinson are top 25 players, without shooting the basketball....
@@producedbysin6508 In contrast, the 3 ball brings added excitement to the game and I think fans like the unpredictability that the 3 brings. Also, the 3 ball has opened up the lane, keeping defenses honest and allowing guards to drive the lane and finish more. I like all that. There is definitely still an important role for a good big but now the playing is more even which is good for the sport.
@@producedbysin6508 you can’t teach the size and strength Shaq Hakeem and DRob had, you can teach a jumpshot. That’s why young kids want to shoot, because it’s a skill that can take them far even if their athleticism and size leave something to be desired. and a 7 footer who can shoot is just an extra level of special, I’d say that worked pretty well for Dirk

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference is a winner, too. MAAC schools usually get blown out in the first round of the tournament.
This is the most insane March madness ever. Usually that’s gauged by upsets like this but every game so far has been close EXCEPT a couple early round games. That’s what has made this year’s tournament so fun to watch.

St. Peters is a very well coached team. They don't turn the ball over,they play excellent defense and they have shooters all over their roster. They have very good guard shooters,they also have forwards that get open shots near the rim. They can plain out shoot!! Everyone in the world is pulling for this team! Go win it all peacocks!!

New Jersey & New York young men on St.Peter's roster !!! No fear !! Gritty, methodical, fast, quick, smart & unselfish. Their Egos are left in the locker room and it shows. Fun to watch. What a solid team !!! Teamwork displayed in all of their games.

A 4 seed in baseball is equivalent to a 13-16 seed in basketball. If the 🦚 win the championship, it will be hands down the greatest NCAA accomplishment that I have seen...& I was around for NC State's & Villanova's titles in the '80s. Though the pre-shot clock era just doesn't measure up to today's game, IMO.

Every year there is that one underdog team that just goes deep into the NCAA tournament. Congratulations to St. Peter's on their run so far. This is what college basketball is all about.

These kids had ice water in their veins. So impressive, not just that they obviously weren't content with what they'd done so far, but also didn't show ANY nerves at the end. Very well played by both teams, and obviously Saint Peter belongs on the floor with anyone at this point.

Just insane. My sons just showed me a video of St. Peter's gym. It didn't look any better than my sons high school gum. We have a Catholic High School near my home - St. John Bosco and I think their gym is way nicer than St. Peter's. I wish them the best.

It's awesome to see a team from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) do so well in the tournament. Usually the MAAC winner gets eliminated in the first round, though a team like Manhattan or Siena has made it to the second or third round in the distant past.
