“who cares when I die, I know I won’t” 30 years later and everyone still cares , Freddie we still care.
your words made me cry
bro i’m crying
@@daliaali8786 me too((((
Disco DeaCy correct I’m actually in tears now
I'm pretty sure he was very sad and depressed from having AIDS
I've always believed that this video was Freddie's way of telling all of us goodbye and that he loved us all.
According to a story I just read from the director of the video, that is completely accurate.
Makes me so sad I'm bout to cry
I just read something by a close friend of his that confirmed that very thing. That last "I still love you" that he whispered at the end of the song was for the fans.
He was actually very sick while making this video and having terrible pain from open sores on his body due to the AIDS virus. But you wouldn’t have known it, the director said he fought through it to leave on his terms.
@@ruadhrose Wow, he sure was a legend and an inspiration.

Here I am in 2024. Missing the original band as much as ever. Freddie was one of a kind.
2023 and still no singer has matched what Freddie did. A real legend. Wish I would’ve been around to see Queen live.

@@user-rw5rb8ch2gand we still love you, Freddie.
The incredible thing is that even when he was terminally ill Freddie could still sing better than most of us when we're in top condition.
Jonathan Kennedy amazing man he was !!!
IKR he was amazing
Truly brother
Brian said that he was in so much pain during this time. He had wounds that would not heal, all those tumors (which I forget there real name) and it was just hard for him to stand. Brian May said that Freddie would take a couple shots, drag himself up with the mic and sing. He literally died doing what he loved and this video makes me want to cry due to how brave of him to even make this video and looking as sick as he did. Freddie tried to hid it with make up and that’s also why it’s in black and white as well. We don’t get to see much of that anymore which is saddening tbh
They were leisions, not tumors. Tumors are what you have when you have cancer. Freddie had AIDS. Which destroys your immune system and your body deteriorates while you’re still alive.

When he looks into the camera (and our souls) and whispers "I still love you" my heart breaks into a million pieces. Oh Freddie, we still love you too and we miss you more than words can say.
It's said that those were his last words on film
Gary Chambers It sadly was :(
She stood by him till the end.
This whole video is sad just seeing how bad Freddie looked in it.
Janey Jester when Freddie Mercury said “I still love you” he said it to Jim Hutton who was there behind the camera not to Mary Austin

When the time comes for me to die I hope I won't have no regrets I'll be grateful for the life I've lived like Freddie
Amazing testimony. Bless you sir/madam.

Thanks so much but believe me when I say at the biggining of my diagnosis I felt like I was going mad because I couldn't understand how come I had sex once felt pregnant and contracted a diseases that was deemed deadly at the same time. But now I just embrace life because I've survived stigma that came with the disease then and came out on top through Freddie's music and I forgave the man that gave me the disease, I'm really at peace with myself and very happy.

When I see musicians like Freddie Mercury, Johnny Cash, and David Bowie, among others, creating art up to the very end of their days, it becomes so clear to me that to an artist, the creation of art is life itself. This is not something true artists can shut off and wait until life is exactly as it should be before they choose to create. I feel inspired to keep creating when I see this, even more than I already do now, and I am so grateful for these artists and their work. What a gift to witness.

Gets me every time. I always reply.
It just stabs you in the heart.. all the time
how his face was illuminated and that smile
One of the most beautiful men on Earth,
Yes.❤😢❤❤
Powerful voice as well ❤
2024 - I'm 38 and it still feels like he was only singing and saying goodbye to me although I was 6 when it was released. But, that's only a magic Freddie possessed whether it was the way he controlled the crowd to repeat him no matter how tough he tried to make it or just singing in your bedroom the feeling was always the same.
This was Freddie's last appearance on camera, just a couple months after making this he passed away. Freddie could barely stand at this point, but when the cameras rolled he still found the strength to perform, to give one last gift to the world.
Show must go on. It seems like this song is anthem of all the people in terminal state of illness that still find it in themselves to use every single day, hour, minute and second of the time they have left.
What can I say. No words to describe him. ONE of the best singer and person that ever lived. Thank you Freddie for all the memories. Love you.
Yes. Tragic in its beauty.
I cry everytime to this song as he could of been happened 10 yrs later he would of been alive
Could see aids in him
I know Roger wrote this for his kids, but my god this was the perfect goodbye for Fred
Well one of his band mates said that in a way this was Freddie's goodbye he was taking from us too early.
😢😢😢
Roge did say that although he wrote this for his kids, the song took on a different, unspoken meaning. One that needed no explanation. “Goodbye..” in song. ❤️
'These are the days of our lives' is the song roger wrote that your referring to
Happens a lot. If you listen to some Alice In Chains songs while Layne Staley was dying, Down in a Hole was written by Jerry Cantrell, but watch the unplugged version and tell me Layne isn’t making it his song...
There will NEVER EVER BE ANOTHER FREDDIE! He was so amazing and talented I cry whenever I watch this. So brave ❤ 🇺🇸
We played this as a final song for my Dad. Miss you dad
You can see the sickness in his face. Can’t imagine how Roger Brian and John felt watching him deteriorate like that. So sad. What legends.
area3eventing Yes they were. I was watching a Brian May interview on RT and he was talking about how depressed he got, and driving and seeing a cliff and wondering if it would do, and realized he had people depending on him, and that that is not how Freddy would of approved of him doing. H went on and did what Freddy would have wanted - live and finsished his Phd and other passions. Deaky simply said Queen died with Freddy dying and walked away from it all. It was Freddy or nothing.
Yeah
Despite his sickness, he looks even more attractive. For me he is the most handsome at this video. The last. The best.
makes me so sad, Freddie is saying goodbye to us, really makes you think just how short life is, so dont fuck it up you will never get another chance guys! God bless you Freddie!
I think that “show must go on” it’s his real goodbye if u check the lyrics
Who wants to live forever and Save Me
you are right freddie i will not fuck it up i will make my life big real big
He was a warrior all the way through.
