Two of my “friends” thought they were being funny CHASING me with an 8” chef’s knife because they pointed it at me and I told them to back up. They advanced with each step back I took and the kept laughing and JABBING it at me. I was behind the couch with it six inches from me while they laughed. And I was still the one that took things too seriously. I carry a knife everywhere with me now 😅

When you have no idea of the "who, what, why, where, when, and how" of the situation you find yourself, is the definition of chaos. Human life IS chaos - self created or imposed upon us. Humans (8 Billion+ of us) overwhelmingly, do not create violence, melees or worse due to the chaos in our lives. You seem to confuse cause with affect. chaos /kā′ŏs″/ noun 1) A condition or place of great disorder or confusion. 2) A disorderly mass; a jumble. "The desk was a chaos of papers and unopened letters." 3) The disordered state of unformed matter and infinite space supposed in some cosmogonic views to have existed before the ordered universe.

It's better to have the victim testify, but not necessary to move forward with charges that the state picks up, they just use the store's video, and the video of the interviews to establish the case. If the victim had to press charges, murder would essentially be legal.

I got jumped a few years ago really bad and wound up in the hospital with a bunch of staples in my head - the cops found the guy, but I didn’t understand what it meant to “press charges” (I thought that since I got a few hits in, then it would mean I was in trouble too), so they guy basically got away with a slap on the wrist. I really wish I knew what it meant at the time because I DEFINITELY would have pressed.

  • That young man's situational awareness was spot on that night...he probably saved his buddy & himself from a a bad knife wound, or even death. In NO WAY was the attacker "pulling my knives out to drop them"...we can see that after they're in his hands he takes another step or two forward -- at that point, the young man's punch was a clear-cut case of self-defense, as knives are considered deadly/lethal-force weapons, especially when drawn/held by someone under 7 meters from you. The suspect is lucky those young men weren't armed themselves, they'd be well within their rights to shoot him in that situation. Keep your head on a swivel out in public, folks.

I noticed my knee was dislocated took my helmet slammed it into it to pop it back in, not feeling a thing. Heck, I didn't even know I'd also broken the arm that I'd used to wield the helmet until the EMTs started loading me on the stretcher. They asked me to roll over and lift my left side and that's when all the pain hits me 😅. My poor husband was doubly upset because I wrecked his bike and myself
