  • Wow, stellar drone footage at the end Chris. That put a way better perspective on it all. I wonder if we'll see you come back to do some maintenance on this pond when that oak tree is fully grown?

  • You’ll never be short of work Chris. You do such a thorough job, no cutting corners, and you always leave a job knowing that the customer will be more than happy with the results. You’re a credit to your trade. 🇬🇧

  • I particularly enjoyed the overhead shot where you can see the track marks from the 220 in the water where you drove out to the island. From ground level, when you were clearing it didn’t look like it had sunk in much.

  • Gonna be a good looking pond when done. Can see your vision already. That customer is a good one as he recognizes and appreciates good work like you do. Too many of them cannot see the vision and just want to cut corners for cheap. Love these ones who know what they want and want the best workmanship. You two make a good team for these projects.

  • Fire requires three components there sir. Those piles don't have a air inlet at the bottom and the piling continuously just denies the air more. Try digging a little trench under where you plan to burn and air flow will be more consistent. That will lead to less time spent picking n restacking.

  • As far as the ash blowing all over the place... you should read about Bernoulli's principle. Not quite as bad as Murphy's Law!

    • Same thought here. Wanted to put a link to what I call the '"campfire effect" basically blocking the air flow some what which makes swirls of air that suck back toward you, bringing the hated smoke right back to you!

  • My theory on the smoke. When you/a machine get too close or block the wind, the smoke particles are attracted to you/machine! Who knows?

  • One reason why the green stuff burns better is because of sap. Some plants and trees have very flammable sap when they are green and alive. For example, Scotch Broom is a very flammable brush. Here in California we have creeks that a lined for miles with this plant and it's removed for fire prevention. Some of the trees or bushes you are clearing may be in the same family of very flammable saps.
